Tucked away on a peaceful lane with breathtaking lake views, it’s the perfect retreat for 4 people, and pets are welcome too! Just a short stroll to cosy pubs for great food and drinks, all dog friendly. We offer part-week stays Nov–March (Fri–Mon or Mon–Fri), with Friday check-in's only from March–Nov. Cosy Part Off Grid Shepherd's Hut

Dragon Howe is a very cosy, quirky, shepherd's hut situated in an elevated position overlooking the beautiful village of Coniston. From the hut, are wonderful views of the surrounding fells and countryside with the lake glimpsing through the trees. The hut has: microwave, hob, sink with hot & cold water, log burning stove, with starter logs + compost toilet. Basic camp style shower which you need to take your own hot water to, from the hut. Onsite parking, not suited to large vehicles.

Next to pretty Torver beck, with frontage to the quiet western shore of Coniston Water, it’s the perfect place for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ break. Beautiful annexe to historic grade 2-listed property. Tastefully decorated, with a stunning bedroom and bath/ shower room, commanding views across a lovely garden. Downstairs, the hall leads into a fully equipped kitchen and the living/ dining room, with patio doors that open out onto a pebbled seating area. Ideally located, with a gentle stroll down to Coniston Water and a bridle path above, leading to the fells and Coniston Old Man. Half a mile from the village and opposite the Ship Inn.

Cottage with Stunning Lake View

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A paradise for walkers. Coniston Old Man towers over the horizon and can be seen from within a short walk of the cottage. The cottage is very close to the sailing club. Coniston village is just a short distance away. The Ship, opposite the cottage, serves excellent food. Both bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen have stunning views of Lake Coniston. On a wet and cold day, you can stay in and enjoy the games and books in the cottage.

Beautiful old miners cottage with stunning views over the lake towards Grizedale forest. The cottage is perfectly located, perched just above Coniston village at the foot of the mountain. It's a short stroll down the hill to the village, with its many amenities, and to the lake. Walks up the Old Man of Coniston begin from outside the house. There is a stone patio with table and chairs at the front of the cottage with amazing views over the lake, village and surrounding hills.
