Vacation rentals with lake access in Bonfield

We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

This is a beautiful cottage overlooking a lake. It is well maintained, very clean and equipped with more than you would need on a holiday. Sandor was excellent with his communication, gave us all the information we needed and checked on us whilst we were there. We really enjoyed our stay and fully recommend the place.

We booked the Airbnb last minute and it was the perfect getaway! Very clean and Kim was very responsive. Kitchen has everything you need! Lovely stay. We saw lots of white tailed deer next to the house while on a walk!

Johanna's place was super cute, clean and cozy. we had a little trouble getting the door unlocked but Johanna responded to my messages immediately and fixed the situation. she was very accommodating to our group and the house was fully stocked with all necessities and then some. a minute walk across the street to the beach but a nice little water view from front porch or living room. I would definitely stay here again.

What a perfect 3-day getaway! My friends and I loved our time at this cottage by the lake. It was so relaxing and exactly what we needed. The cottage was great, and the lake access was a huge bonus. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.

Great place to stay and relax!

We had the best time at Sandy Pines! From a spotless house to amazing communication with the host, our experience was incredible and I 100% recommend. Absolutely loved the sandy lake entrance within the comfort of the backyard, we had the best weekend!

The place was beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. Only negative was we couldn’t find the gray bin mentioned for recycles. Otherwise I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to wind down and relax.

Absolutely beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. Quiet and serene sandy beach. Kayaks available as described and we thoroughly enjoyed taking in the views from the lake. Great place to take the opportunity to try out the SUP in the shallows of their sandy beach. Bev and Louise were welcoming and readily available to answer any questions. We truly appreciate our hosts for sharing their home to provide such a wonderful experience.

Where would I even begin? This was by far the best experience I’ve had. The unit exceeded expectations, it really did make you feel at home from the moment you walked in. It is honestly so nice, zero complaints. The host’s were absolutely amazing. They were so responsive to any need I had no matter how big or small, and made everything just so comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever come across a group quite like them again. I would highly recommend this unit and any other unit listed under the host’s. They made being away from home and the struggles of daily life feel effortless. I am grateful for all they did and accommodated for me. As I said, best experience I’ve had by far.

We had a very nice stay at Maria’s place. Great view of the lake with Kayaking, Badminton and Volleyball. Place was clean. Host was very friendly and responsive. Only issue I would say we had was in the morning there was very little water coming from the taps. It got ok after a couple of hours. Pointing it out just as a heads up. Other than that, it was a great stay.

We had a really nice and peaceful stay at Lynn’s. She kindly let us used some snowshoes which was a must to explore the snowy nearby trails. The sauna and jaccuzi were really appreciated to warm up after a day in the cold! Would like to come back in the summer or fall as it must be stunning as well!

Really great hosts! They responded quick every time and provided a lot for us. Very much a bring your clothes and you’re good to go situation! The hosts also respected privacy and we never felt uncomfortable being there. The hosts only came if we needed them too and always did when asked, usually within 20 minutes (like for water or propane refills). We also felt safe and secure in this house as we had our own unit and only we could access it. The view of the lake is beautiful and I’m definitely going to miss it! I would definitely recommend and I will be saving this air bnb for any future needs in north bay!:) they also provided all the streaming services which was really great for us during our visit! The outdoor lighting at night was a really nice touch. The place was cleaned really well and you could tell that the hosts truly care, with all the small things most hosts don’t think of or care to do! Thanks for a great stay!:)

Larry’s place was fantastic, very clean lots of amenities and a great location. Me and a few guys came here for an ice fishing trip that went very well, we all had a great time.

Lovely cottage by the lake. We spent our afternoon there canoeing and kayaking on the pristine Deer lake. Wes and Jana were excellent hosts. They were kind and were available to answer all our questions through the app. You will have a very private experience here. We loved sitting by the fire pit every evening. Wes was kind enough to cut some firewood for us. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Algonquin park is about 1.5 hours from the cottage along HW60. However the cottage is beautiful and you could spend all your time on the water. Highly recommend staying here.

Bill's place is absolutely amazing! We get access to a good hiking trail, the lake that we have plenty activities to do! The description is accurate; Bill and Lisa are super responsive to our messages. Overall it is such an amazing experience and highly recommend Bill's place! :)

We had a lovely weekend stay at Darren and Nadene’s place! The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive—and Nadene even baked us muffins. The place was peaceful, and we really enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes at the waterfront.

I had a great stay at Vanessa's cottage! She was very communicative throughout the process, which made everything easy and stress-free. The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and wonderfully private. I especially loved the access to the water, with kayaks and a float available to enjoy. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

Such a peaceful location. We spent the evening on the dock watching the sky and listening to the Barred Owl, Loons, Spring Peepers, and American toad sing. It was magical. The place was immaculate and the ammenties were awesome! Took the kayaks out for a peaceful paddle and saw some beavers! Comfortable beds make for a serene sleep. If you are looking for a magical location for a family retreat, you have found the right one!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bryan’s cozy cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with peace, privacy, and the kind of charm you can only find in a well-loved home away from home. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed! The outdoor space was the highlight! perfect for morning coffee on the deck, roasting marshmallows by the firepit at night, and just relaxing with nature all around. The lake was just steps away, and we enjoyed kayaking! My kids had so much fun! We cannot wait to be back!
