Hotel vacation rentals in Bocas del Toro

Ataraxia is pure magic and exceeded our expectations in every way. We rented out the whole lodge to host a yoga retreat with 12 of us total. Communication from Pierre and Manon was fantastic throughout and they took really good care of us — ready to help order us boat taxis, recommend us things to do, or answer any question at any time. The rooms and cabins were spacious, cozy and kept really clean. We had use of kayaking and snorkel gear as well, which everyone loved. At the top of the hill, the yoga shala overlooked the sea and was a wonderful place to practice and teach in. We were even able to spot a sloth and her baby a few times. Perhaps our favourite thing, though, was the food. We had 6 vegan lunches and dinners and we were sooo impressed by the variety of meals and how delicious every dish was. Being able to order a glass of wine with dinner was a nice touch, too. We loved our whole stay. We’ll be back!!

Welcome to the paradise! A small and calm resort at the far end of Bastimentos, perfectly suited to relax, disconnect (no WiFi or mobile network) and enjoy Carribean flair and nature. But beware: you'll stay in nature (open-air bungalow) and as it's really small will spend significant amount of time with the other guests, incl. the delicious meals around the large dining table. As your welcoming host Michele already states this in the description and his communication after booking, we weren't surprised - and loved it! If you don't like nature, are addicted to your social media, or don't want to socialize with other guests - better don't come ;) Seeing the price for few nights, we gasped at first. But let alone the included tasty meals and great service is worth an significant amount. Taking into account how costly it must have been to build, maintain and supply this small paradise at the remote location, it's absolutley worth it!

I cannot say enough great things about Brian and Amy and the beautiful place they have. Everything was wonderful, I absolutely recommend staying here, you won't regret it. We will be back!

Great stay. Be sure to provide bug spray. Important for internet addicts. There is no internet in the rooms. But you don't need the view. Great beaches and great food with nice hosts.

Absolutely AMAZING!! Can't wait to go back. The hosts, Brian and Amy, couldn't be kinder, more helpful or more hospitable!! The food was amazing and they were flexible with dietary issues that people had. We feel like we have new friends in a different part of the world. The place itself is nothing short of paradise!

This place is very special. Brian and Amy made us feel at home right away. The location of the accommodation ist very beautiful surrounded by jungle and right by the water. We saw many dolphins in the bay and had a great snorkeling trip and hiked through the jungle. The food is absolutely incredible. The place was always clean and the hosts try their best to make your stay a once in a lifetime experience. This was the best place I ever stayed at and would recommend it to everyone. we went for one night and decided to stay 3 … a show of place that we could not waste, it is a paradise and we were happy with the surroundings, the food and the facilities of the hotel. The incredible staff always ready to help us , especially little who helped us in everything with a big smile and made our stay wonderful. We had the most amazing time in Dan and Brian’s lodge! The place was just perfect and the room was huge and comfortable. But what makes the difference are Dan and Brian themselves! They are extremely welcoming and we felt like in a family! We loved chatting with them and all the laughter together, Dan cooks delicious food and Brian’s cocktails…rock! We absolutely suggest this Lodge to everybody!

If you're looking for a quiet area to enjoy nature and the beach, this is your place. The hotel had all the facilities you could need, the food is delicious and Nahuel prepared some great cocktails. To get there you have all the facilities, by public transport or with a taxi, the number of which they provide.

I love it, it is the nicest place in the place, it is super close to everything, it has Carenero beach very close by walking, it is beautiful I recommend it with closed eyes, do not hesitate to visit it.

We stayed here for our ten year anniversary celebration and were so happy we did. The weather ended up being a bit on the rainy side, but we still had a wonderful time going on lots of walks, playing games, swimming in the rain, and of course enjoying the food. Definitely our favorite food we had during our whole trip in Panama. We would have extended if we could only to try more from their menu. Thank you for a really relaxing time and we hope to visit your paradise again someday.

A good place to rest and have a great time, with lots of activities nearby to do

Firefly is a really cute place to stay on Bastimentos island! If not for the rooms, be sure to try at least the food: it was nothing short of amazing! And breakfast is included too, and those didn't disappoint! We were greatly welcomed with drinks and recommendations as well. The room is typical of Bocas: water from rainwater, no A/C but fans (the room is near the ocean so there's fresh air, works pretty well), basic bathroom. Nothing fancy but it's functional and part of the island's charm. The only downside we found was that although it's facing the ocean (beautiful view and sunsets!), there isn't a beach nor places to really swim (water is accessible but it isn't easy). For a sand beach you'll have to walk to town and do a short hike (about 30mn total from Firefly). We recommend the place for sure !

How do you write a review about paradise? The sunrise room was wonderful. Brian and Amy developed a beautiful eco friendly lodge at Dolphin Bay. The food and drinks were wonderful. The guided trek through the property was very memorable and informative. Most importantly, the hospitality was unmatched. Waking up to dolphins playing in the water outside of our room is a memory we will not forget. This place is magical and I highly recommend it! Of all the places we visited in Panama, this is the one we would like to return to.

We had a great time at the Lodge. Daniel and Brian gave us a warm welcome and looked after us very well! A highlight was definitely the dinner cooked by Daniel, which tasted fantastic and where we also got to know other guests. Those were very nice evenings. We would definitely come back!

Roam was perfect! The grounds were beautiful and the room was comfortable, with a lovely view of the jungle and the ocean. The rooms had large open windows with screens so you can soak in the jungle sounds. They have kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling so you can explore right in front of the hotel. The yoga classes were great too. Every meal was delicious and unique and I highly recommend having dinner on site. It was the best food we had in Bocas and some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The guest kitchen was well-equipped with everything you would need to cook your own meals. Meghan and Ryan were perfect hosts. They answered our (many) questions to help us explore Bocas, recommended tours and sights, and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The place is a short, convenient water taxi ride to Bocas town and other islands. If you haven’t booked Roam yet, you must!

Our dog became very sick just before we were supposed to go on vacation at this Airbnb. Thankfully, the host was super kind and allowed us to change our stay to a new date at the very last minute for no additional charge. We appreciate the customer service level greatly!

The location is perfect. Red frog beach is amazing. Sometimes it took a while for the host to react on our message before arriving. The staff at the location was very friendly and helpfull. They took good care of us. We just didn’t wanna leave.

The stay was like paradise. The most beautiful beach on the island is just a stone's throw away, and the terrace is simply fantastic. Although the beach is not ideal for swimming, it is very quiet and extremely beautiful. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, always helpful and always in a good mood. The atmosphere is familial, and everyone is open and warm. The location is quiet and secluded – ideal for relaxing. Especially for self-catering, the well-equipped kitchen is a plus. I slept deeply and restfully, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the forest and the ocean
