The Annexe is in the grounds of our larger house occupied by us, situated at the end of a private road near to Durham City centre. Thistledowne (with an e) is a 3 bedroomed family house, also ideal for 3 or 4 friends, with cloakroom and conservatory; situated in a quiet area of Sunderland about 15 mins walk from the Stadium of Light. A 10 minute stroll will take you to Roker beach from where you can often see dolphins . Even closer are the National Glass Centre, Sunderland University's St. Peter's Campus and marina. Perfectly placed for early morning jogs or cycle rides either along the riverside or the seafront.

"HAY LOFT" quiet rural location, close to Durham

The Loft is located above our garage in a large garden and field totalling 8 acres. We're at the end of a farm track in the middle of the countryside, half a mile from the nearest road meaning ZERO traffic noise. The headroom is kind of tight along the two sides but, at 6 feet tall I manage okay. Perfect for two, but can easily cope with 4 people. The Loft is accessed by external concrete steps. The accommodation is not suitable for children but we've squeezed them in on occasions.

Perfect, cosy base.

Well equipped studio. Plenty of space for 3 to relax after a day of sightseeing. Unwind in the spacious walk in shower. Enjoy a relaxing drink in the garden or the large patio ( with or without the goats!). Perhaps even a BBQ ( gas BBQ available on request). Pop over the village green to the pub. Cosy down and prepare for your next adventure watching satellite T.V. Cook a light meal or order a take away. Very peaceful location and very comfortable accommodation.
