With sweeping views, the hideaway is accessed off our private lane and set in its own private plot with parking and a garden. A perfect retreat for couples or for a couple friends to 'escape the rat race' and take a break. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the wood-fired outdoor hot tub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Finished to a high standard with Egyptian-cotton linen, underfloor heating and well-equipped kitchen for a luxury stay.

Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. This is the place to be still and take in the sunset views, starry night skies and the sound of the river whilst relaxing in the wood fired hot tub with your favourite person.

The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. You might just sleep better than you have in years.

The Barn, West Ford Farm

The Barn is part of an historic farmstead. It was built from cob and stone in the 18th century and sits in a peaceful valley, a lovely place to get away from it all and enjoy the glorious Devon country side. It is on the edge of Dartmoor and next to the Two Moors Way. The pretty village of Drewsteignton is a couple of miles away with it's pub The Drewe Arms. The National Trust's Castle Drogo is half a mile beyond that. The Drogo Estate has beautiful walks along the River Teign

The Nook is situated in the pretty village of Bishops Nympton, with its village shop, village hall and beautiful medieval church. The market town of South Molton is just over 2 miles away. Conveniently situated within driving distance to both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, along with the beautiful North Devon coastline and their stunning beaches. We welcome a small well-behaved dog with a charge of £10 per stay. You must contact us prior to booking if you have 2 pets.
