House vacation rentals in Bird Rock, San Diego

The house is beautiful and well-appointed. The back yard is perfect for hanging out in the evenings with the lit pool and vibe-y blue and green lights and strung patio lights. The hot tub was hot and the patio had lots of furniture for lounging or eating meals together. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. I even enjoyed a fire in the fireplace on one of the chilly mornings while we were there. They supplied all the necessities for easily making a nice cozy fire. The living room TV came with Netflix logged in for the guests to watch and the surround sound was awesome during movie time at night. The neighborhood was so quiet with lots of people walking their dogs or running. There is a nice playground just around the corner from the house that we enjoyed one evening after swimming. My teens enjoyed walking down the road a just few minutes to enjoy all of the cool places to eat. The host was very responsive when I had a question about the pool. Overall a perfect stay!

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

We loved our stay at Mari Katherine’s Airbnb for a girl’s weekend in SD! It is a beautiful home that was spacious and thoughtfully designed and decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home feels private, but was in a fantastic location in North Park that was easily walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Mari Katherine sent clear instructions leading up to our stay, so the logistics of check in were clear and easy! When some logistical challenges came up during our stay, Mari Katherine was very responsive (even late in the evening) and offered solutions - we would be thrilled to visit again!

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

This beautiful guest home in historic Marston Hills is perfect for a San Diego getaway! It was pristine, well-maintained, and so comfortable. We were able to walk to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, as well as nearby restaurants and grocery stores. The pool was also a lovely amenity, and the surrounding canyon was a gorgeous backdrop. Jing is an amazing host. She truly goes the extra mile to take care of her guests. The home is stocked with amenities - kitchenware for cooking, toiletries and extra towels, even pool or beach supplies! We loved our stay in Jing’s guest home, and are so grateful for the hospitality. An amazing location and our incredible host made our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Thank you, Jing, for your hospitality. We hope to stay here again, soon!

We had a fantastic stay at Van's Airbnb! Van was incredibly communicative and friendly, making the entire experience seamless and welcoming. The view from the property was stunning, adding a special touch to our trip. The kitchen was well-equipped and a joy to use, and the house itself was exceptionally comfortable, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here!

The house is gorgeous with new appliances. Seemed newly renovated. Location was amazing! Very close walk to beach and restaurants. The amenities were great (except the Keurig did not work). The only reason why I gave 4/5 on cleanliness is because there were dead bugs on the stairwell, a couple spiders in the bed, and a moth flying around but once we got rid of those, we had a great time. I would definitely stay here again.

Lindsey was an amazing host and the place was just as amazing! very nice and cozy inside and it was in a perfect location about 15 minutes from downtown. every place we had planned for the trip was very close and the beach less than 4 minutes away was a nice plus! it was very clean we spilled water on the floor and when we wiped it up the paper towel came up still white! i would definitely stay here again :)

The cottage and location are absolutely amazing! The ocean is so close that you can hear the sound of crashing waves from the front and backyard. When I wasn't out visiting family or attending meetings, I spent hours just quietly relaxing in the interior courtyard. It was so quiet and peaceful that you could almost believe you were staying in a tropical oasis! The cottage itself was so clean and comfortable and was stocked with all my essential needs. It absolutely looked like the pictures and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I come to San Diego often for business and to visit family and I will definitely be staying here again. I keep coming back to this amazing place which offers everything I want for my Pacific Beach stay. Marlon is a wonderful host, always helpful and very responsive. His house is spacious, comfortable, stylish and close to a great surf beach. Love the well equipped kitchen, the large living and dining area, and the backyard with surfboards and beach bike. This time I stayed for three weeks working remotely and I didn’t want to leave.

Stunning view of crashing waves and Surfers was a delight. Deck at big wide window area where you can drop mattress and sleep with that view was USP of this place. Would loved to have another bath with shower but it was fine for our stay of 2 days. Overall I would recommend this place for typical San Diego vacation and relax.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Obviously, we stayed here for the ocean view and roof top terrace which did not disappoint. It is within walking distance to fun activities and places to eat. It is also close enough to some great restaurants within 2-3 miles (we used Lyft which averaged about $6-10 each way). The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was ample space for 3 adults and a teenager. There were plenty of things to do with a nice mix of peace (from the absolutely wonderful roof top terrace) and entertainment (groups on the boardwalk, Belmont Park, SeaWorld, and the Zoo). Any questions we had, Erin or Christina were quick to respond. We had an issue with hooking up the AC unit due to a piece missing that was apparently being cleaned. Within 1 hour Erin arrived with a new piece and hooked it right up for us. Amazing service! If we found ourselves in SD again, we'd definitely stay here and recommend for others!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location is absolutely perfect—right on Mission Beach with beautiful views and just steps from the sand. The home itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with multiple balconies and a front deck that made relaxing easy and enjoyable. The hot tub was a great bonus—nice, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The garage was definitely a tight squeeze, but our car fit. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did have an issue with the fridge and freezer not cooling properly, but the host responded quickly and sent someone right away to repair, which we really appreciated.

This place was completely spotless, completely clean. The view in the yard is great, we ate all our meals on the table in the back. Awesome place!

The only thing better than the location was the overall experience with the host! Our car battery died as we were leaving and Erin was quick to give us a jump start. Lifesaver! This place is definitely on our list to come back to!

We stayed here for 4 nights with our baby and had a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. Parking was a breeze with plenty of spots available right outside the entrance. The location is excellent - just a short drive to the beach and close to great restaurants. Rowena was an exceptional host, always responsive and helpful, even late at night. We accidentally left behind an AirPod, and she kindly mailed it back to us at no cost - such thoughtful service! Highly recommended for anyone visiting San Diego.

Treetops is an amazing place in La Jolla, away from the crowds, but near enough for easy access. The space is restorative, quiet and peaceful. The ocean breezes through the deck sliding door are so refreshing. Stepping through the front gate, there is a beautiful garden on the way to the stairs for the hideaway….it just is a special find. Nancy is a host in the true spirit of Air B & B, welcoming, helpful and gracious about sharing a spot in a kind of magical setting.

This was a great house. Brian was a wonderful host and was very quick to respond. it was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. The house is on a very quiet and private block with beautiful views of the ocean and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We loved it and hope to come back again!

Spencer’s place was amazing!! Beautiful home and a great overall location for visiting San Diego. Very comfortable. Easy to get to all of the fun San Diego activities. Would 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay
