Cute clean house. Comfy beds and a clean hot tub. Enjoyed the deer walking around outside. Whitney was extremely nice and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

This home had all of the little touches that take a rental from four to five stars: comfy beds, quality linens, well-equipped kitchen, games, throw blankets, etc…We had a lovely stay, and the hosts were very communicative and gave clear instructions for everything in the house and a great guidebook for local activities. The home was exceptionally clean, and the location was peaceful. We had a fantastic time connecting as a family, spending as much time just relaxing at the house as out and enjoying the local area of Harper’s Ferry.

The cottage was exactly what we wanted for our family mountain getaway. We loved the Mountain View, hot tub and surrounding scenery. WiFi worked perfectly well. It had basically everything we needed. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the river because it flooded prior to the stay but that would have been icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this rental for a scenic outdoor WV getaway!

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. It was comfy and very well styled. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and it was the perfect amount of space for us. Sitting outside was very peaceful and between the basketball court, hot tub, swingset and firepit, there was no trouble keeping the kids off the screen! Always a mu h appreciated bonus for me, was the drawer full of coffee on our arrival :)

This was a nice place and great location to Bear Chase Brewery (walkable) and hiking trails. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with recommendations in the area. They provided early check-in and late check-out which was very accommodating and appreciative. On arrival, we were surprised to see how close the house was next door and didn't realize this when booking the property. The hot tub was a great amenity even though we weren't able to use it much due to nasty weather. It was dirty on arrival but was cleaned quickly after informing the host. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

My wife and I had a wonderful time getting away from our busy lives. The house was beautiful with tons of space for us to relax and enjoy the scenery. There's plenty of wildlife to watch and the hot tub was a huge plus!!

If you are looking for a secluded little get-away with a great host, this is the spot. Unfortunately these reviews only allow 1000 characters otherwise I would write a novel of a review for Rachelle and The River House. I stayed for 6 weeks with my dog in April and May watching Spring bloom. How beautiful! I was able to float down the river, see wildlife, go fishing, get fresh free-range organic chicken eggs, eat outside in the fresh air, hangout with one of the neighbor dogs, watch hummingbirds, and enjoy fires at night in the firepit and more! They recently added Starlink for the internet wifi and it was blazing fast. It is perfect for working remotely (video calls) and streaming. The beds and pillows are comfy. The water is hot. The place is clean. Rachelle is a top-tier host and super friendly, considerate and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues and she resolved them ASAP. If you're not used to the buggy woods keep that in mind, especially during the warmer months.

Jen's place was clean, comfortable, quiet and well stocked. It truly felt like our "home away from home". We stayed here when our daughter had twins and due to unexpected circumstances we needed to extend our stay...2 times. Jen's communication, response time to messages and her willingness to help is the best I have ever experienced on Airbnb. We look forward to our next trip to see our daughter and we will definitely stay at Jen's again. Thanks again Jen!!!

We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

No surprises as the home matched the pictures & description quite well. Driveway was easy to find but a bit tricky entering & exiting but offering plenty of parking & privacy too. Outside setting offers plenty of opportunity for cooking, recreation & relaxation too.

My husband and I stayed 2 months there, my daughter and son-in-law with their pet visited us a few times during our stay. The back deck view was our favorite, especially when the days get shorter and temperatures drop, yellow, amber, orange...colors were in the leaves. It's amazing to see the foliage happening. Thank you, Julie! She was a phenomenal host, the best Airbnb host I've ever had . She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns and give us great recommendations on where to eat and what to do while we were in Rio. The house is clean, beds were comfortable, surrounding is beautiful and the environment is peaceful. We enjoyed our stay, would definitely book again while we are nearby.

We had an incredible experience staying at Zeb's place! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described—if not better. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to hiking, restaurant, bars and historic district, yet peaceful and quiet at night. The cottage was right in middle with lots to do less than a half a mile each way! He even left a great welcome note with some of the best popcorn! Communication with Zeb was seamless. They were responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay.

Only needs a weekend spot to attend a wedding in Winchester. The house is way up on the mountain, so going in/out was a bear. Pretty much get what you need before heading up. The morning view across the valley is beautiful. The house had everything I needed. Bring bug spray if you’re going to go walk around.

The place is super sweet and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again. Beautiful high ceilings upstairs and a very pretty property. The bedding and mattresses were amazing! When Jennifer saw we were traveling with an 18 month old toddler she provided a crib and high chair. It was a thoughtful touch.

“The Lovely Cottage” is well-named. The space is a perfect size for a couple’s getaway. The living room has a comfortable full-size couch and loveseat, and the wall -mounted TV is easy to move on its mount if you want to watch in the kitchen. It is streaming-only, so bring your password to watch other than live TV. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, and flatware, as well as pots, pans, skillets and tools. It was easy to prepare meals with everything conveniently located in the kitchen. You can adjust the heat and AC for your own comfort. We made use of the propane grill on the back patio for two dinners. We felt like we had nice privacy as the cottage is off the main street, which is a quiet street anyway. The owner provides bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which is a nice touch. They also provided toilet paper and kitchen paper towels. The TP is a big deal; we have stayed at a place which did not, which is an unpleasant surprise when you arrive late at night.

Great place to stay. Felt cozy and fit 8 people comfortably. Was visiting the area for nursing pinning and graduation. Home is only 6 minutes away from Allegany College. Family came and everyone was comfortable. Bonus was the pool table, board games, etc and family area in the basement. Took lots of pictures at sunset and pictures came out beautifully. Mark and Becky was very responsive with texts and Mark even took time out the morning to assist with pictures of the entire family. Very friendly and would recommend place to anyone.

Dina and Kev were both responsive and friendly. Kev shared some local history and good towns close by to visit. The porch at night was really beautiful to watch the sun go down.

This was a great, peaceful place to stay and Morgan was a great host. The location is nice and quiet, with an amazing bakery and a couple restaurants around the corner, and walkable to town. Morgan was a great host, went the extra mile to make sure we were right at home and gave lots of great recommendations.

We had been to Loudoun the previous year and really enjoyed the area. While stopping at Good Spirit for wine, we noticed that they also had an Airbnb cottage on the property and we thought it would be a great setting for our next stay. Our weekend at the cottage this year was excellent. It is very well furnished and maintained. The kitchen, for example, is stocked with sharp knives, good cookware, and ample plates, glassware, utensils. Luanne is a great host, and the location means you can walk over from your front door to enjoy the winery tasting room and easily drive to other wineries, towns, and outdoor activities in the area. The cottage is a peaceful and enjoyable spot to savor a few days away. We hope to return to Loudoun and will plan to re-book the cottage when we do.

Paola was and is an amazing host. We needed a last minute booking as our previous reservation had us stranded on the side of the road for 4+ hours. Paola was VERY responsive prior to booking the listing, during our stay, and after our stay. The communication was very much appreciated as we felt very well taken care of and in good hands. We received clear and complete instructions to check in as well as how to navigate the accommodation. I HIGHLY recommend closing Paola to host you. We were there during snowy conditions and Paola was very proactive in communicating the plans to make sure the driveway was cleared as well as even offering us groceries if needed. We felt very much appreciated and I want to publicly thank you Paola for actually caring for your guests. Wishing you many successful bookings and please continue being an awesome person.

We have a lovely stay. It was very scenic and peaceful! Karyn made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She left us lots of goodies in the kitchen which saved us from going to the store as soon as we arrived! There is so much to do in this area of VA! We hope to visit again. Thank you!!!
