THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD. No, not quite but nice away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Our holiday property ( house with 2 apartments with respective separate entrance ) is located on the outskirts of Benneckenstein , right on the Rappbode. 4500 sqm property also leads to the campfire , camping and in winter for tobogganing on your own toboggan slope. The house only serves as a holiday property So it doesn't have a permanent tenant. Since dogs are allowed in both apartments, we ask to be considerate to each other.

Our apartment is located in Hohegeiß, a district of Braunlage. Hohegeiß is centrally located in the Harz Mountains at 640 meters above sea level. It is a place of relaxation for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, ski resorts are available in the village and nearby. There are excursion possibilities, for example, to Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. The guest fee of €3.00/night for adults is charged in cash on site.

On 90 square meters, the cozy apartment offers everything a family could wish for on vacation: a large bedroom with a king-size bed and baby crib, a large children's room for up to four children with board games and books, a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table for up to eight people (incl. 2 high chairs), a large bathroom with shower, bathtub and washing machine and of course step stool + toilet seat for the smaller guests.

We stayed 3 nights in this super cute place to start the new year quietly and stress-free - the place and place were perfect for that! The host is very friendly, super helpful and gave us good tips for the area. All in all a very enjoyable and beautiful stay. If you like it quiet and in the middle of nature, this is the place to be. Many hiking trails are both within walking distance of the property and by car. Thanks for everything! :)

As some others have already written, you should not be fooled by the external appearance, the apartment is beautiful, clean and has a great view. From the apartment you can take some beautiful hikes, other typical sights are reachable by car in 20-60 minutes.

Well-facilitated comfortable and complete house and a welcoming reception. With a kitchen that really has all the utensils. We are very fond of the special construction of the house and natural materials. Atmospheric as if we were in Switzerland. Still, the cottage is on the outskirts of the village with all facilities such as bakery and supermarket within walking distance. The neighbors who do the key handover are extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you for the good care Maximiliaan.

Vacation home "HAGEBUTZE" with sauna and swimming pool

We were the first but certainly not the last time in the Hagebutze. The location is perfect for us as enthusiastic motorcyclists. It is nice and quiet, but there are still shopping facilities nearby. The rosehip is small, but has everything your heart desires. I find the very comfortable sofa bed particularly worth mentioning. Completely removed, it measures 160 x 200 cm. This is pure luxury for such a small apartment. Everything is very lovingly but also practically furnished. Every corner was used perfectly. The kitchen is quite small, but since we were out all day anyway, it didn't bother us at all. The bathroom is relatively large and tidy. From the balcony you have a beautiful view. The icing on the cake was of course the pool and the sauna. We only used both once, as we had such nice weather and preferred to spend the time outside. It was a very successful holiday! We will definitely be back!

The stay was really great. We were able to relax very well. The terrace has plenty of sun in the morning and some shade in the afternoon. That was really perfect for us! We were always able to eat outside. A dream! We enjoyed the hiking trails in the area very much. We walked directly from the cottage several times. Ulrike was very friendly and easily accessible. Thank you!
