Our beautiful mountain home is nestled between Durango and Pagosa Springs Colorado. Whether you are looking for a quite, private and secluded vacation spot or a home between two local ski resorts (Purgatory and Wolf Creek) this home offers the best of both worlds. This is also a great hunting spot, less than a quarter mile walk to public hunting property held by BLM. You can walk right out the door and hike, snow shoe, or sled down the driveway. We are not present when the home is occupied.

The Perfect Place

This log cabin style house has great views with deck, hot tub, fenced in back yard, backyard chickens, and is walking distance to Lake Simpatico and two playgrounds for children. The location is great for those wanting to enjoy Durango (20 mi) and Pagosa (50 mi) . If you are into fishing, hiking, hunting, paddle boarding, etc. this spot is perfect (there are many lakes nearby). The house is also right between Purgatory Resort (one hour north) and Wolf Creek Ski Area (one hour south).

This Hidden Gem is conveniently located but peaceful and relaxing. Only 1/4 mile from the highway, 3 miles outside of Bayfield, 25 minutes from downtown Durango and 15 minutes from Ignacio, you’re conveniently located when you stay here. This spacious studio has 1 bedroom with 2 king-size beds, comfortably sleeping four. A pack-n-play is also provided if you have a little one. Enjoy a full kitchen, walk in shower, laundry, coffee bar, comfy couches & lovely views at the HG.

We've equipped it with everything you might need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The neighborhood offers a lake (with a walking trail) right across the street, National Forest access, and wildlife (deer, turkeys, the occasional bear). We do live onsite and are here should you have questions or need recommendations.

Secluded Comfy Cozy Getaway

This is an extremely private high-end place in an area which deals mostly in rustic comfort which was surprisingly lovely. The beds & sofa set were the most comfortable we'd ever experienced. We did have some confusion about a couple things like if there was AC (there is not), if we could move the picnic table & BBQ which had migrated off the large patio to smaller concrete areas near the main house & what exact "check out" activities the owner was expecting us to perform before we left (the checkout sentence was a little vague) but I feel these could be easily remedied by expanding the description area of the house online & leaving a hard copy inside the house for the guests. I will definitely recommend this listing to all my friends who stay in this area in the future. ☺️

Penny’s home was amazing! It was perfect for our family of seven, very spacious and clean. Any questions that we had were promptly addressed and answered. There is a guide provided in the home, filled with restaurants, breweries & activities around Bayfield and Durango. Which was nice for those who did not have the Airbnb app! We were also provided with chopped wood, fire starter and a lighter for the fireplace. It was definitely needed and much appreciated! The location is perfect and the scenery.. beautiful! We’ve never truly experienced such peace and quiet, like we did here. This was our family’s’ first Airbnb experience and they were very happy with Redbone Ridge. The main comment was how ‘at home’ it felt. We will definitely return to Redbone Ridge in the future! Thank you, Penny & Chuck for a great stay 🫶🏼

Views were amazing from sunrise to sunset. Everyday we would see deer grazing as the fawns chased each other through the trees. The stay was peaceful and relaxing. The house was comfortable and felt like a second home. The stay was perfect and would book again in the future.

We had a great stay at this cozy mountain cabin! While it’s definitely on the smaller side, it ended up being just right for our family. The space is used really well, and we loved the modern design and thoughtful touches throughout—it felt clean, fresh, and comfortable. The stairs are a bit steep, so something to be mindful of if you have little ones, but as long as you’re paying attention, it’s no big deal. Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing spot that gave us exactly the mountain getaway we were hoping for. Would definitely recommend!
