When my friends and I arrived, we walked through each room shouting, "Wow!" We originally planned for a day trip to Asheville, but this place was so beautiful we just decided to stay in. The highlights were the view from the porch, the hot tub, and the rec room. Highly recommended stay and I wish I could've stayed longer

This was a really nice cabin to stay in with fantastic proximity to Hendersonville, tons of restaurants and shops. The outdoor space was lovely and we made good use of the fire pit! Really loved the bathroom space and the shower was very nice and clean!

had a great, peaceful stay at this cabin!! the hosts were amazing - there was a power outage in the area and they reached out several times to provide updates. I really appreciated their responsiveness and care about our stay. the driveway gave us absolutely no problems. we drive a Toyota corolla. I loved sitting out on the porch and listening to the birds sing. felt like I was in the middle of a forest. area is very tranquil but fun amenities are just a short drive away.

We had such a lovely time! It was perfectly located and the house and surroundings are so peaceful. We will definitely use this home again.

This is a 5 star review only because there’s not an option for more stars. This place is incredible. The cabin has spectacular views of nature. Everything in the cabin is simple and beautiful. Jessica has thought of everything from welcome card and wine to robes and shoes for the hot tub. The cabin is a short drive to Asheville but don’t miss out on what Weaverville has to offer. Lots of local spots with great food and vibes. Our three day stay was absolutely amazing and we did not want to leave. Cannot recommend this place enough! We hope to visit again!

We loved our time at the cabin and would totally come back again. It was uncluttered, super clean, very cozy, the bed was amazing, kitchen stocked with essentials. We cooked our own dinner over the fire and in the stove and it was perfect. We loved the record collection! Such a fun touch. We hope to come and stay again soon.

My time here was all that I expected and more. The house was both comfy and beautiful. I'm a city gal from Baltimore but in-love with nature. The location was great with amazing views. The old fashioned rocking chairs made me just want to sit on the porch all the time. Whether it was evening cocktails watching the sunset, afternoon lemonade moments or morning coffee with the sunrise. Nothing about your stay here will be disappointing. Oh, they even went the extra mile to contact us to let us know we forgot a pair of sandala and ship them for a small fee. Thank you Mike and Cate for a memorable stay!

Fantastic stay for my husband’s 40th birthday! This place is gorgeous! The pictures do not do the views justice! It’s private but still close to everything you might need. It was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies, as well.

Even when we encountered a brief power outage, our host went above and beyond to assist us promptly and ensure our comfort — their attentiveness and care truly stood out. The home was cozy and well-maintained, providing an ideal setting for quality family time. We especially loved doing yoga together in such a peaceful setting — it was the perfect environment to unwind and reconnect. The location was also fantastic: just a short drive from Asheville and surrounded by amazing hiking trails. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

I would recommend Alison to anyone. She was our first host this being our first time using Airbnb. We couldn't ask for anyone better. Not to forget the beautiful house and view. The house is a very cute out in the mountains! The creek in the backyard and the sauna are easily the highlights!

We stayed at this location for 3 nights with a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 young kids). The moment we checked in, we fell in love with the place that was private surrounded by the nature. The sound of the nature and creek was so peaceful throughout our stay. The host went Extra mile and provided access to Internet, DVDs, a lot of games to keep us entertained. We took an advantage of the trail on the property and it was totally worth it. The host really helped us recommend some places near by to visit which was very helpful. The picture doesn’t do the justice of this great property. We’d be back.

We all liked the rustic cabin. It was very quaint, comfortable and a great location. The porches are so nice and relaxing. Enjoyed the place with our family very much. Great memories and exercise made on our NC Mountain trips always!.

Four-wheel drive is a must! The cabin is beautiful and tucked away in the forest on the mountainside. Glen and Min provided clear, detailed instructions for locating the property, including a helpful photo of a map with options for entering the driveway. Check-in was simple—just entering our code into the deadbolt. The cabin itself was peaceful, cozy, and incredibly clean—spotless, really. As mentioned in the listing, the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Our hearts go out to the community, and we appreciate the efforts of North Carolina and its residents to keep things running smoothly and open to visitors. We hiked the breathtaking Bearwallow Mountain Trail—absolutely stunning at the summit. It felt like a scene from The Sound of Music. Glen and Min were friendly and responsive both during our arrival and after. We’re already looking forward to returning as soon as we can.

This is one of my favorite stays. I like to do pros/cons to give a balanced review/not come off as a shill, so I'll list some negatives (that I kinda have to reach for) but bear in mind I'd rate John's place a 9-9.5/10. I think the only thing that would bump it to 10/10 would be something extra extra like a hot tub. But let me emphasize: this was a great place to stay, and I hope to stay here again. Pros: -seclusion! lots of peace and quiet. -internet was excellent. -bed was comfortable. -very clean. -very good value. Cons: -it is about 30 min away from groceries/food, so plan accordingly. -driveway is gravel/a bit steep, certain vehicles may have issues. -limited reception, so download maps before coming/watch for road debri Really liked this place. If you want a weekend in, choose this spot. It's not as ideal if you want to go to bars, etc., but you can't beat this place for a weekend staying in watching movies, reading, etc. Hope to stay again. John is a great host.

Nick went above and beyond to make our time at the cabin as special as possible. He allowed us to use the space for my sister’s tiny, family-only wedding and it was perfect! The views are absolutely gorgeous up there. Nick communicated thoroughly, answered any questions, and went out of his way to add special details, like a full length mirror for the bride’s getting ready room. We’re super grateful for all of his help and couldn’t recommend more his cabin for a peaceful stay with beautiful views.

We had an AMAZING stay at this cabin. We originally planned on going out to see the surrounding area, but after arriving and seeing first hand how lovely the cabin and grounds were, we ended up just going to the grocery store and staying in, except for one dinner out in neighboring Tyron NC. From the location to the amenities to the responsiveness of the co hosts, it was just amazing. We will definitely book this cabin again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's cabin! It was so peaceful to eat outside on the deck while soaking up the beautiful mountain view! The cabin had everything we needed including dishes including a well stocked kitchen. The only thing that might be helpful for other renters to know is that the parking area is tight and you need to be comfortable backing out of the steep drive down by the house. We did not need 4-wheel drive to get in or out of it, but we were here in June. There is a parking area at the top, but it would be a decent walk to carry bags, etc down to the house. It was also tight for us to turn around up there but doable in our Ford Explorer. If we had driven our Dodge Ram 2500, we would not have been able to turn around up there, and we would've had to back out a very long gravel drive down to the road. This does not impact my five star review. Amanda is an amazing host! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful--wonderful views, very well-appointed and maintained, and a super comfy bed. The location is also great, it feels like a mountain tree-house retreat but it's just a 10 minute drive from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this sweet and cozy spot in Flatrock. Our family of 5 had pleanty of room and woke up to the most beautiful views. The furniture and decore were beautiful and thoughtful. What a charming spot close to all of our favorite things.
