House vacation rentals in Bat Cave

Our family felt right at home at Michael's A-frame. My husband commented that it felt as though we had stayed there before, and it really had. It has every amenity and creature comfort you could want or need, including a nicely stocked spice cabinet, plenty of linens, board games and puzzles, and a place to do laundry. Michael was friendly and helpful. Our family had an awesome time, and we hope to be back to enjoy the property in the summer months!

We enjoyed our stay! The space fit our needs for 5 adults and we enjoyed utilizing the backyard space.

Wow this place was absolutely amazing the pool and the hot tub were definitely the highlight of the stay but the house was also very homey and clean and it’s was a fun time

It was lovely, the communications with the manager were perfect and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Linens could use a little refreshing, however.

We rented this house for the week of Christmas. It was the perfect space for us to spend time together. The view of the lake was great! The house was as described and met all of our needs from the bedding and towels to the kitchen cooking accessories. Would love to rent this in the summer to enjoy more of the outdoor space.

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

We have stayed at a lot of airbnb homes and this was by far the cleanest! The screened in porch was so relaxing, especially during a rain storm. We even saw a double rainbow! The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed! Great host, beautiful home, and beautifully landscaped yard! We had a great time.

It was cloudy and rainy most of our stay but it didn't matter. The house is so big and very comfortable. The indoor pool was wonderful. (They are very strict about kids not being allowed in the hot tub though.) We were able to use all of the outdoor amenities, too. The house is charming! The kitchen was well stocked. The kids loved the room with the bunk beds and being able to play with the balls on the pool table. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful cottage in serene surroundings. It somehow feels like a charming old log cabin even though it’s a new and modern home with all amenities. Open the windows and you’ll hear the sound of the nearby river. Good idea to have a 4x4 but we managed without one.

We had a wonderful stay at the Canopy House! The sauna was a perfect way to unwind after exploring Asheville, and the saltwater hot tub made for relaxing evening soaks. The house felt tucked away in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, yet was conveniently close to Asheville. The Bela and Spencer were incredibly polite, helpful, and quick to respond to any inquiries and check-in/out was a breeze. Every detail of the home was thoughtfully designed—the décor was truly picturesque. A peaceful retreat with all the right touches!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. It is private and in woods with the creek right there. From the time you get out your car, you can hear the water and feel a sense of calm/peace. The inside of the house is beautiful and comfortable. Love the fire pit and eating breakfast on the porch in the cool morning air. Cicily is very easy to get in connect with and quick to response. Love the fact that she reached out the day before to give us extra instructions about getting to the house and about going to get groceries before getting to the house. She was absolutely correct about grocery shopping first bc once I was at the house I didn’t want to leave.

Cloud 9 Cabin provides a serene retreat for those seeking a break from urban life. Its peaceful ambiance, stunning natural beauty, and breathtaking views are truly captivating. Kaitlyn is a very responsive and courteous host. However, the place is well-prepared for guests, so you likely won't need to contact her. Unrelated to the house and host: please be aware that some roads and areas remain closed due to last year's hurricane. But there are still plenty of places to go.

The view was amazing, and the whole reason I specifically booked this house, and I was certainly not disappointed. The house was as listed, felt very comfy, was clean, everything as expected. I would highly recommend this rental and plan on coming back.

LOVED our stay! Beautiful view, loved the fire pit, very clean, well stocked kitchen, great location. Would absolutely stay again if we make it back to Asheville. The drive up is a little intimidating but nothing the Jeep Wrangler couldn’t handle.

Jason and Michelle have an awesome property, with house and surrounding land. Comfortable beds, spacious kitchen; the living room, den and back deck are great places to hang out and relax after a busy day. Plenty of throw blankets and comfy couches to stay cozy. The land is beautiful and serene, I barely had a chance to explore and I want to do it again and dedicate more time to it! Interesting native plants and insects around, things I've never seen back east in NC. Jason and Michelle were incredibly kind and accommodating. Thanks for a great visit, hope to come again soon!

Naren’s place jumped to one of our favorites within hours of arrival. It is clean & thoughtfully designed & decorated. Wrap-around deck is nice & we used the fire pit & grill daily. Kitchen is one of the best we had in functionality & being well stocked with tools for cooks. Loved open floor plan, but spacious enough that the upstairs is its own space if traveling with kids or another couple. The view! ❤️ The “library” is a thoughtful touch with books & games. Truly a relaxing setting. They had one of the most helpful host books I’ve seen. Please DO NOT forget to visit the small businesses that reopened in Marshall (e.g., Zadie’s, Zuma, Mad Co., etc.& shop for food at Madison Natural Foods) then go to supermarket. It’s a wonderful town. Easy drive to Asheville & many other towns. Always take the scenic route when time permits. We will be back! ❤️

Creekside Hideaway truly provides the mountain serenity in the woods that it promises in the listing! And so for our entire stay, we just ‘kicked back and relaxed to the water sounds!’ Thank you so much!

Fantastic view, pictures can't quite do it justice. Nice little house in a great area. Apple trees were blooming in the valley. Very quiet and peaceful area.

Black Mountain is one of our absolute favorite places to visit. We had a quick weekend there to look at property in Asheville so we were gone all day. Comfortable and super cute. In a great quiet neighborhood.

Our family of four (including two older teens and two dogs) loved Diane’s place. The location could not have been better. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from all of the many decks and outdoor living spaces, and were in an ideal cove for swimming and paddle boarding. The house has everything we needed and much more. We never needed to leave except for groceries. Our kids preferred it to our usual beach vacation. The kitchen and appliances were spotless. Throw blankets, pet protectors, pool towels, life jackets and every kitchen item you could imagine, the home provided it all. Diane was extremely gracious and proactive in communication. If we plan a future lake vacation, we will certainly look for this lovely Lake Lure home again, and anything Diane is hosting.

We had a fabulous stay in this amazing place! We felt right at home and the amenities were top-notch. Everything felt super luxurious and the space was beautiful. What a great experience! Such a fun find!!

Charles and Becky’s place was beautiful and very peaceful. It’s the perfect gateway from the city. Becky and Charles were amazing hosts. They were very responsive, friendly and always worried about us. My favorite part was finding a welcome note for us at the cabin. Will recommend 100%.

We normally do a beach vacation but found this house and decided to change it up. House was great for younger kids. Plenty to do inside to keep them entertained. Rumbling Bald was beautiful and the amenities there were great. Jackie was wonderful to deal with, she spent time to send us recommendations for things in the area based exactly on what we were looking for. Best host for sure! We will definitely make another trip out to Lake Lure. They have a long way to go to get back up to 100% after the hurricane, but everyone there was super friendly and welcoming despite what they’ve been through. If you are thinking about going to the area, do it! Support local businesses and help them to get better than before!
