Vacation rentals with a kayak in Bastimentos Island

We enjoyed our stay at Casa K (2 families, 4 adults, 4 kids)! The house is lovely, with ample seating and an amazing porch with hammocks to relax on. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and eating meals at the house. Kids enjoyed playing ball in the front yard. Property manager Tyson was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had- he set us up with a local taxi driver that we used multiple times during our stay there. While there are a few great restaurants within walking distance to the house, a grocery store is a taxi ride away so keep that in mind. The way the house is arranged is that the two bunk bed rooms are on the ground/entry floor with the laundry room and bathroom. If staying with a family & children, the downstairs rooms are likely better for slightly older kids (~11 & up?), who don't mind the separation from parents/others. We had a great time & would stay again!

The house is lovely but I think it’s worth noting that it’s very remote meaning that it’s literally on the water and you need a water taxi to get to the main island ($25 each way). My advice is to have food and drinks with you as well as toiletries such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner etc because it’s not provided and since the house is on the water you can’t easily leave. If you are looking for privacy this is definitely the place to be.

Escogí La Caribeña entre tantas opciones porque me llamó la atención el deck , las habitaciones y el poder tener salida al mar desde este espacio. Puedo asegurar que no me equivoqué. ¡Qué lugar tan maravilloso! Es un paraíso sobre el mar. Joy y Edu hacen un gran trabajo como anfitriones, están pendientes de todas tus posibles necesidades, siempre te brindan recomendaciones, y por si fuera poco tienen un restaurante hermosísimo a una distancia caminable desde el hospedaje. Son unos anfitriones tan atentos que hasta te obsequian shots de cortesía en su restaurante Ohana, fui todos los días porque la comida era bastante adictiva. Este hospedaje lo tiene todo! Usé los kayaks que se alquilan en el hospedaje y pude recorrer los alrededores de la isla. Finalmente, una lancha me recogió en el deck gracias a la gestión de Joy, quién organizó un tour para mí. Experiencia 10/10 Volvería mil veces ☺️

We had a great stay at Steve’s house on Isla Carenero. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything you need for your stay. The deck was great to relax and enjoy the view. We also enjoyed using the included kayaks several times during our stay. Steve was extremely helpful with anything we needed and called our water taxis for us. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Steve!

Nuestra experiencia en general con la casa y el host fueron extraordinarias, nos sentimos super bienvenidos en todo momento, Aristides nos ayudo en cada momento, nos dio recomendaciones excelentes de los comercios locales, nos brindo mucha ayuda con el transporte y en general fue una persona extraordinaria, quedamos encantados con el lugar, todo fue muy cómodo, limpio y tranquilo. Estamos encantados tanto con el lugar como con el anfitrión y esperamos poder volver pronto.

This airbnb has been one of the best airbnb's we've ever stayed in. First of all, the location is pretty great, not too far from town but also far enough to feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. Less than 2 minutes from the ocean as well. We saw so many monkeys from the balcony during our stay, it was so cool! Secondly, its extremely well equipped. We had all sorts of kitchen appliances, and utensils we never even knew we needed. We had tons of beach towels, snorkel gear, big TVs, desk setting, smart toilet, reclining beds, great wifi. Lastly the hosts were extremely communicative, and super helpful with everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft. Sie liegt auf einer wunderschönen Insel in Mitten von Mangroven und klarem Wasser. Die Unterkunft war sauber und gut eingerichtet. Mit der Stromversorgung hat auch alles geklappt. Man ist mit dem Boot mobil, dazu steht Li jederzeit zur Verfügung. Li war sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Man verfügt außerdem über ein Kanu für zwei Personen und zwei weitere Boote, mit denen man das umliegende Riff erkunden kann. Auch Steven war bei Fragen gut erreichbar und konnte Tips und Auskünfte geben. Alles in allem ein super Aufenthalt.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Serena and can't say enough good things about the house and all of Marcela's attentions with our family. It was our first time visiting and it can be overwhelming planning a trip like this one and Marcela was so kind and gracious to make recommendations for tours, transporting our rental car, etc. The house is exactly as pictured and so spacious for a large family. We can't thank you enough!!

Beautiful bnb in a stunning, tranquil setting! Lourdes was an attentive, communicative host and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this home for single travelers and couples wanting a peaceful and private vacation. With that said, we had no problem visiting other islands that were more populated. We kayaked to the Red Frog marina and walked to Red Frog Beach, and we also had no problems getting water taxis to Boca Town on NYE. Be sure to stop at the grocery store before you arrive at the Air BnB, as there are no restaurants on Isla Solarte. :)

Maravillosa cabaña en medio de la selva y con vista al mar desde toda la casa. Tiene un muelle privado donde tomar sol y bañarse en agua cristalina con vista a la selva y a la bahía. Elena es una excelente anfitriona, nos dio muchos datos de qué hacer y cómo movernos en la isla, además de invitarnos a una clase de yoga dirigida por ella en un lugar hermoso. Lo pasamos increíble, volveríamos sin duda a quedarnos allá.

Excelente Lugar para relajarse y pasar unas buenas vacaciones!
