Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Barnstaple

My family and I had a wonderful stay for a wedding last weekend. The house is great place to relax and just a short walk from the beach. The garden is really secure for dogs and has a side gate with a hose to wash off the sand after fun at the beach. Nic and Rick sent loads of really helpful information before our stay and were flexible with timings for check in and out. They are so friendly, are very responsive to any questions and left some lovely personal touches for our arrival (scones and jam, eggs, bread and milk!). Thank you for a great stay. We had a lovely time and hope to be back soon!!

Easy check-in/out. Marina was very responsive. Short walking distance to town - close to shops and restaurants.

We had an amazing family weekend. Our hosts were fantastic Communication was fab with quick and extremely friendly responses. The accommodation was spot on. Marvellously decorated and amazingly clean. Plenty of space to relax and socialise. Garden was very private and secure so we were able to confidently allow our young four legged friend the freedom to roam. Barnstable town only a short walk with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Views from upstairs are stunning looking over the river. We absolutely loved it and hope to return again sometime. Thank you again for an opportunity to make some quality family memories. A lovely lodge in a small holiday park, the pool was an added bonus (outside and unheated but nice for a quick dip!)

We had lovely stay ! Beautiful, comfortable home in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped, had everything we needed. Venetia was very welcoming and helpful. Incredible value. Would visit again in an instant!

This place was perfect, we stayed here in May 2025 for 3 nights before our wedding with our 4 year old and 2 year old and our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer! Pollyanna offered us an early check in as soon as it was ready and greeted us upon arrival. She sent lots of recommendations when we booked which was very helpful too. It’s completely private, perfect location, situated on a farm in the country side, lots of wildlife to look out for whilst relaxing in the garden having a bbq or using the hot tub. It’s safe and secure for young children to play and there is a beautiful private lake just through the gate with a boat, paddle boards and a summer house with a ping pong table. It’s very nicely furnished inside, well equipped, easy parking, bathrooms and showers are great and we found the beds very comfortable. It was a pleasure to meet both Ian and Pollyanna who wished us well on our wedding day. We hope to come back again someday soon!

We had a lovely stay. Sabrina & rich were fabulous host. The only thing I would say is we thought everything would be free to use like the pool table you need to pay 50p the hot tub and sauna £1 for 10 minutes . Which of course we did not mind at all. Would have been nice for that to of been advertised on the booking page. The cottage we had was beautiful the views breath taking. We had two little birds nest out side our door which was our alarm in the morning. lol. For the price it was so worth it. I will definitely book again.

This is a wonderful place. We felt at home immediately. The barn itself is stunning - beautifully decorated, super comfy beds and an absolutely stunning cinema room. The grounds are also top notch - the tennis court and swimming pool did not disappoint even in the rain!! We had a lovely break and plan to return as soon as we can. Thank you!

Well, it’s safe to say we will be returning! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were made to feel at home. Sarah and Bee were incredibly welcoming hosts, taking us for a tour of our lodge as well as explaining in detail where all of the facilities were on site within 15minutes of arrival. We had everything we needed and more. Our one requirement was that we felt we could relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of a city. That we did! Located in a dark sky reserve, we had the pleasure of spending the evenings under the stars, listening to the wildlife, and spending quality time together. We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

We loved our stay at Anna’s place. It’s in the beautiful North Devon countryside but well situated to explore the rest of the area. We enjoyed using the pool but meeting the animals was definitely a highlight! We’ll be back to stay again :)

Excellent stay, very friendly host and brilliant amenities! We felt very welcome, including our dog and toddler, and enjoyed using the swimming pool and wandering round the grounds. The location was great for exploring Devon - we enjoyed some lovely days out as well as walks along the beautiful beaches. Would highly recommend Sharron and Stuarts cottages!

We loved staying at the Coach house it was just as in the pictures, and clean/comfortable with many mod cons. The Cream tea provided was delicious and the milk from the Milkiosk was fun/special. Our spaniel loved the field to run round in, although he was a bit naughty on occasion straying with the excitement. The pool is heaven, especialy as it is timetabled per unit meaning we had it all to ourselves for our turns (what a great idea). Just a great location with some lovely beaches and walks along the coastline. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

We had a great stay here. I’d actually say it’s better than the photos, the bedrooms are really cosy and beautifully decorated. There were lots of nice small touches and everything was done to a really high degree of thought. Everything from the bbq to the kettle was of very good quality and matched the decor really well. The pool was lovely and they even came and gave us cushions for the loungers while we were out there. Highly recommend we had a lovely stay.

Such a neat and cozy place to stay! Within walking distance of all things necessary, quaint and quiet little private garden area, great for post-beach relaxing. Extremely well catered; Most certainly felt like a home away from home. Will love to be back soon

Kevin was a great host, really quick to respond and he kindly pushed our check out time back an hour which meant one more swim in the sea for the kids! The site itself is quiet but very clean and tidy. Located straight off a dual carriageway which meant we weren’t safely able to walk off site however it did prove to be a good base to explore the area. Easy access to Woolacombe and Croyde and the Tarka trail which leant itself to a lovely bike ride along the water! The van was really clean and comfortable, plenty of cooking equipment and hot water on tap! We had a really lovely few days away!

suited my family as we were at our daughters wedding and could all sleep in the one house. very clean house , very convenient to have it's own parking space. very comfy beds.

We booked for one night as we were attending a wedding at ash Barton estate, being pregnant I was worried about finding a comfortable place to stay close by. This was perfect, about 4 minutes drive and super comfortable and clean. Had some nice little games and Amazon fire stick to easily watch tv. Also some lovely touches of tea/ biscuits and even a dash of milk for the morning. Would definitely recommend

5 Stars a perfect countryside getaway! We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Lanes End Cottage in May. The cottage was exactly as described, clean, cozy, and well equipped with everything we needed. One of the highlights was the lovely private and secure garden, which was perfect for our dog, Dexter, to enjoy safely. The location was ideal, easy to find and a great base for exploring the area. We especially loved being just about 25 minutes from Saunton Sands, a beautiful and dog friendly beach. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful, pet friendly retreat in a great location. We’d definitely stay again!

The Linhay was lovely and in the most beautiful and peaceful setting. The only sounds were the wind in the trees, the birds and the lambs in the distance, it was pure heaven! The apartment was lovely, no expense spared and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. There was private outside space with bbq provided, no light pollution crystal clear view of the sky. Lovely welcome pack, would definitely return x

when we pulled up we was welcomed straight away and told to have a lovely time and of we needed anything to let them know which was immediately reassuring we walked into the building at it was open modern and clean and spacious with so many nice features with a gorgeous view would definitely stay again
