Lake side house rentals in Balsam Lake

My 3 daughters and I came for a quilting getaway. The house was spectacular and clean. So peaceful and private. The perfect place to recharge. We all enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning off the lake. There were a few boats to watch as they fished. The deck seating was ideal for having some meals

We had an amazing time at Tamara’s beautiful cottage. Everything inside this little gem was perfect —the furniture, the decor, the appliances, the bedroom, the front porch. We absolutely loved the location and had a great time walking and biking around the lakes, and also just hanging out on the porch drinking some & listening to music thx to nice BT speaker Tamara was a perfect host, made us feel very welcome immediately. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I just stayed at FishTail Lodge! It was Perfect! Pictures were exactly how the cabin appeared. Tom is an amazing host who responds to any question quickly. Check in and Check out was easy. The Cabin is in a Wonderful location and is spotless. There is so much to do within the property itself. From Relaxing at the fire pit, to the screened in porch or on the pontoon. There is a pool table, darts, and ample games and movies. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We have rented other cabins in the past, I would say, without question, this is the best place we have rented in every aspect. If you are reading reviews in order to help decide if this is the place. . . This IS the place! Rent it! You won't be disappointed.

I spent the weekend at their cabin and really enjoyed the stay. Did some cooking in their kitchen and they had every kitchen utensil I needed to make a quality 3 course meal. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was everything we were looking for plus some additional amenities! It's hard to find a place that can accommodate our dogs and feels safe for our 2 year old but this cabin was fun and relaxing for everyone. We will definitely be coming back

We had a wonderful mom and daughter weekend at this gorgeous home! The location and lake view was beautiful - within an hour of arriving, we saw swans, eagles, a heron, loons and an otter. The open living space and big windows made it a great spot for relaxing inside, and the furniture and beds were super comfortable. We also enjoyed kayaking on the lake, drinking coffee on the dock and sitting around the bonfire. Like other guests have said, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and the appliances were top notch. The hosts were responsive and the house guide was comprehensive and clear. We would absolutely stay here again!

Grey Duck Lodge is beautiful and peaceful—the home is spotless and comfortable. There are so many nice touches—a blu tooth speakers for music, cozy blankets to wrap up in if the weather turns chilly, all the kitchen utensils and dishes you need to cook for a large group—a big table for meals and board games, which my adult kids and grandkids love. I loved the lakefront—lovely trees everywhere and easy to rent a pontoon for cruising Deer Lake. The area is full of things to do—hiking, quaint small towns, restaurants, wineries, and new pubs—on top of the water activities. I was there for week and need to go back because I could not do it all. The deck is an unforgettable place for fun conversations and quiet reading. And the home office let us do whatever we had to attend to even when we just wanted to play. Many thanks for the great hospitality. I will definitely return.

Cabin was exactly as descibed. Plenty of space for 6 adults to relax for a weekend, cook, and socialize. We went in winter/early sping so not much activity in the lake but the deck is a great spot to take in the view. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay again.

Loved your cabin!! so peaceful! loved seeing the eagles all day, catching small mouth bass, and lots of deer! your place is perfect for families with small kiddos, lots of toys, movies and games. he thought of it all! definitely will stay there again if we're in the area. thank you again for opening up your home.

Quaint and beautiful cabin setting. Lots to do around the area especially for avid climbers, hikers and nature explorers. The sauna was a blast and the beds were extremely comfortable. The aframe was very cozy and a great place to unwind and unplug. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area. Kayla and Josh were extremely responsive and flexible.

Our stay at Keith’s was great! Views of the water were wonderful. Check in was easy with the keypad, kitchen was well stocked, Keith was quick to respond when we couldn’t find things or needed help with the grill. As noted in the pictures and his description, one of the bedrooms does not have a door on it, and the walls don’t go all the way up to the ceiling. It gets all the noise of the living room/kitchen but it worked for us. We loved the kayaks and Keith even had a child life jacket! The water quality in the lake varied - not as appealing as I was hoping for swimming on our first two days but we had fun kayaking around the lake and after it rained on our last night, the water was much clearer the day we checked out. Note that part of check out is put all towels and sheets into the washer and start the washer. I don’t love that because inevitably I realize one has been forgotten and then have to figure out how to stop the cycle and add an item, but this is minor. Great stay!

It’s a roomy lake cabin with lots of spots spread out or get together! It’s has a beautiful view of the lake and very comfortable beds and furnishings! We enjoyed our time together with our granddaughter. There are plenty of places around the area to explore 😀

We stayed here for Mother's Day weekend and it was everything I could have asked for. Private and peaceful with beautiful lake views. Jeff was very responsive and sent us all the necessary instructions prior to checking in. The house and property were exactly what I expected from the pictures.

Host responded quickly to our questions. The place was clean and comfortable, perfect place for us to stay while exploring the area. Great parks, hiking and shopping in walkable distance.

Our family had a wonderful time! Absolutely loved the scenery, and all of the sounds of nature. Everything was perfect for a perfect birthday weekend. Kitchen was stocked with whatever needed for home cooked meals and loved the bonus canoe and kayak. Will be back again! Thanks again

This is a great spot for a quiet getaway. it's a nice private place close enough to restaurants and parks but enough away for peace and quiet. we would stay again!

Such a beautiful getaway! You can tell Jessica put a lot of love in creating this space. The place was immaculate and so beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable and we really enjoyed meals and coffee on the patio. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area!

My spouse and I stayed for a long weekend and found the location exceeded our expectations. There are beautiful trails on the property, including a short hike to a beach river access. We read books and relaxed on the front patio and stayed up late watching episodes from the big comfy couch. We explored many of the local towns, Stillwater, Osceola, Taylor Falls, and Sioux Falls where we found nice walks, hikes, restaurants, and activities. The house had luxurious bedding and nice touches like fun art, playful colors, and retro (but nice condition) furniture. We definitely recommend!

Carol’s place was perfect for our weekend stay while in Siren for a hockey tournament. Incredibly clean, private, peaceful, and perfectly laid out. She was a great host and made sure all our q’s were answered throughout our stay. Highly recommend anyone stay @ Carol’s cabin!

Trisha is a top notch host who is highly attentive and responsive. The cabin was clean, secluded, peaceful and exactly how described. The fishing was great, the lake access was on the property with a pier to fish from. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Cami was excellent. Our family had a great time and we would stay with this host again. This was a great property for fishing, seclusion, and access to lakes / a small town with options. Jack told Rose about this town for a reason. All good vibes.
