The Farmhouse

TamaraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Idyllic cottage for a countryside getaway! We stayed at the Farmhouse for 3 nights as a group of 7 adults and 2 children. We loved our stay here, can highly recommend. Clean, peaceful, comfortable beds, fast WiFi, big TV. The large kitchen was perfect for a big group with 2 ovens and dishwashers. The heated pool and game room were around the corner - technically shared with the other cottages but we were always alone when we went. 5mins drive to picturesque Bakewell. Only cons (which are not really that critical): Hosts are not responsive through Airbnb, but thankfully instructions for check in were very clear and there’s a booklet in the house with all necessary info. Kitchen could be stocked with a few additional cooking essentials, like oil and a few spices.

Peak District Manor: Pool + Hot Tub + Fire Pit

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house was absolutely incredible and excellent value for money. It was in stunning surroundings, the hot tub was amazing and the exclusive booking system for use of the pool was a lovely addition. The house was spotless and full of character and the private garden was also wonderful. The beds were really comfortable and there was just the right balance of charm, space and comfort. We definitely struck gold when booking this gem. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this a trip to remember!
The charming farmhouse is framed by tall trees and is approached through a gravel pathway. Lush greenery surrounds the entrance, enhanced by flower beds. The stone façade with its rustic charm features multiple windows, inviting natural light into the welcoming interior.

Haddon Grove Farmhouse - with pool & lots of heart

OliverRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.
An indoor swimming pool with a gentle curve and a clear blue surface reflects the surrounding light. Lounge chairs are positioned nearby, and plants are placed in the corners, contributing to a serene atmosphere. Soft lighting illuminates the spacious area.

The Manor House

EiraRating, 5 stars38 months ago
What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.
A quaint courtyard is visible, featuring a wooden table set with a bowl of mixed fruits and drinks. Green doors frame the stone building, while potted plants add greenery to the gravel area. Wicker chairs provide seating options around the table.

Badgers Wood

JackRating, 5 stars46 months ago
Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

Delightful Cottage in Picturesque Rural Village

TraceyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have just returned from a week in Dalemore Cottage and could not have wished for more. The cottage itself is set in the most glorious location and the inside is just as good. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and beautifully furnished. Pru and Chris were the most welcoming of hosts and Pru’s home cooked meal service was excellent, I even asked for some of the recipes. If you are looking for a quiet spot, in a fabulous location with excellent hosts this is the place for you.

Cheerful 2-bedroom home with free offroad parking

MeganRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Me, my partner and our dog stayed at this home mon-Fri and it was amazing! We loved having the sheep around us, the garden was well fenced in to keep our nosy dog contained. The views were just amazing. Beautiful walks close by and not far from Bakewell town. Emma was quick to reply and fast to help with the issue we had with the hot water (fixed within hours of contacting her.) There is a quarry close by, and as stated by others the road outside could sometimes be a little noisy with the large trucks going by, but honestly it didn’t make much difference to us. We’d definitely stay here again! A lovely little property😊

Beautiful house in the heart of the Peak District

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Excellent property, fantastic location, great local pub, lovely walks! Jo was an excellent host. The one hiccup was checking in, we didn't have access to the code for the key lock on arrival. The app said contact the 'host', so we did. The problem was, 'Jo' was on her hols too, so not immediately responsive. Jo said this was an issue she had not experienced before, but was able to sort the problem immediately. We couldn't have asked for more than that. Thank you for letting us stay at your home Jo.

Lee and her partner were so friendly and helpful, she suggested places given the weather which we greatly appreciated & meant we saw more in the area than initially planned. Their place is so cosy and homely, it has everything you need for time in the Peak District and I would return again as its a great base for exploring the area further and place to relax after an adventure. Thank you!

The Old Chapel Luxury Retreat

CatherineRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The Old Chapel is absolutely stunning with high quality fixtures and fittings, it's beautiful! Hannah has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, plenty of storage space, lots of crockery and cutlery and a high quality coffee machine (and coffee provided). The bathrooms are well designed and the complimentary toiletries are lovely. The whole space is well designed, quirky and comfortable. We loved the fact that some of the features of the old chapel had been retained, Hannah provided a lovely welcome pack for us and the house is stocked with games and books. We were 3 couples staying for a walking break and it was a lovely welcoming place to return to after a day of walking. We were very lucky to have amazing weather too!

Cottage in Ashford in the Water

MartinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Beautifully appointed place, very clean and very comfortable beds, in a great location. Super easy walkable access for Bakewell and a seriously good meal at the Bulls Head in Ashford (which has access to a great kids park). Smart TV so easy to login to Netflix if you wish to. The ‘car parking space’ to the side of the property is essentially triangular, so not really suited to anything but the smallest of hatchbacks/sports cars, however plenty of parking space at the start of the lane the house is on. Our only recommendation would be that they provide bubble bath, but that’s very much a nice to have, given the shampoo, shower wash, fresh flowers provided! A lovely base for hiking in the Peak District - we did Dragons Back, Kinder Scout and Chatsworth House.

The Coach House : Cosy Cottage Retreat

JustinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Staying at this lovely place in Bakewell was nothing short of awesome. The location is PERFECT. Right at the top of town, just a stone's throw away from the beautiful old church, and with a private spot for our car. It was very nice. We parked, got in just fine, and then walked everywhere in town. The house itself was very clean, easy to get to, and lovely. No complaints. We really appreciated the list of things to do in town - they had it all listed. Restaurants, pubs, hikes, etc. Thanks for a great a place!

Pudding Cottage in Bakewell

AshleyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was such a cute place! It was very close to the downtown shops and restaurants in Bakewell. The house was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was wonderful and the bathroom was very large! My only pieces of feedback would be- -there is definitely not on site parking. There are two sports that are fairly close (up a steep hill and down a street) but all other spots were are fairly far walk. -some of the places are really cozy (small). One of the bedrooms upstairs has a side table in front of the door for the only usable wardrobe. Otherwise this is a fantastic spot and we would love to come back to Bakewell!

Charming 2 Bedroom Cottage in the Peak District

PennyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An absolutely perfect cottage for a Peak District weekend. Victoria’s friendly communications meant we had no worries before we arrived, and the cottage itself was a delight. It has everything one might need, and feels very homely and welcoming. The kitchen is well-stocked, the sofas very comfortable, and the beds and bedding ensured a good night’s sleep. The location was great too; lots of things to do locally, and numerous opportunities for great pub meals without driving far. I’d happily recommend this property and its lovely host to anyone looking for a break in the Peak District.

Bakewell charming cosy quarryman's cottage

LisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Having previously stayed at Faye’s beautiful cottage, nestled in lovely Bakewell, I found out what a wonderful attentive host (and person) she is, and how perfect the place was for my needs. I knew I would definitely return! This time I was lucky enough to have the whole cottage to myself as she was away, and I can’t recommend her home highly enough. Comfortable and beautifully appointed, spacious main bedroom, plus a lovely second bedroom with a sofabed that could be used to accommodate two more guests, or use it as I did, as a sofa and extra space to relax. The lounge is so warm and welcoming, and there is a lovely bathroom with a full size bath and shower, and everything you could need in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a lovely spot to sit out the front with a cuppa (it is SO peaceful there you can only hear the birds), and it’s only a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. Parking is on the main road just a few steps away, and Bakewell is fantastically located for Chatsworth.
