Charming private room in a farmhouse

Our farmhouse is situated at the famous black forest western hiking trail and on a hill with views overlooking three countries. Our guest room offers a small kitchen unit with a fridge where our guests can prepare breakfast and cold meals. There is no water supply in the bedroom but in the spacious bathroom opposite. You can find restaurants from vegan, traditional to haute cusine within a less than a mile. There are buses to Basel, Lörrach and Kandern. By car it takes 20 minutes to Basel.

A modern kitchen area features a breakfast bar with four stylish high stools. Light wood cabinets and a sleek countertop are complemented by natural light streaming through large windows. Decorative green plants add a touch of freshness to the inviting space.

Recently built guesthouse on the property of an old mill. We (two families) live in the main building. Both apartments have a seperate entrance and a terrace showing to the little creek which gives it a romantic touch. The place is 10 km from Basel which can be reached by bus or train in about 30 minutes. In the village nearby you´ll find a supermarket and other stores. Good starting point to explore the Black Forrest. The mixture of nature and civilisation makes it a special place!

We lacked nothing, everything was clean and cozy. In addition, there were wonderful views. We can highly recommend the apartment! Communication with Sabine was also straightforward and very hospitable in advance and during!

Fantastic place! We loved it, the house and surrounding are just amazing. Sonja is a very polite and fantastic host. We definitly recommend this place if you want to stay in peace and quit close to Schwartzwald.

We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s place — it was just what we needed for our few days in Kandern. The apartment was cute and cozy, well-equipped with a washing machine and all the kitchen utensils we needed. Everything matched the description perfectly. Communication with Sarah was excellent. When we felt a bit cold, she quickly brought us extra blankets, which we really appreciated. She was always easy to reach and kind in her responses. A sweet bonus: I was even allowed to keep two books from the little bookshelf that caught my eye — such a thoughtful gesture! Thank you so much, Sarah. I’d love to come back one day.
