The property was simply amazing. The rooms were big each with lovely ensuite bathrooms. It has a well appointed kitchen and a large dining room table that would sit 10 people very comfortably. An added bonus is the dining room table converts to a pool table. The area is extremely quiet away from the hussle and bustle of Johannesburg and superbly situated to get to the various golf courses we were playing as well as some great restaurants. It has all the facilities for entertaining outside including a swimming pool which would be amazing in the summer months, as well as a large garden. The house is kept spotless by housekeeping who came in every day (except Sunday) to clean and make up the rooms. Finally, I cannot say enough about our host Charmaine. Very friendly and responsive throughout the whole process. Thank you Charmaine, you were brilliant and we all thank you for letting us feel so at home!

An oasis of calm and peace. A large space as many have mentioned and also a bit dated. That doesn’t take anything away from the experience though. Marie is delightful and proactive with communications. Reaching out when the weather became cold to see if we needed extra blankets was very thoughtful. The gift bags were also a lovely touch. We felt very safe and had everything we needed as well as clear instructions.

We felt right at home during our stay - the space was warm, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed, including more than enough blankets to keep us cozy. Michael is very committed, friendly, extremely helpful and easily accessible! The house offers a lot of space for a large group, free space to enjoy and relax. The garden and the braai area invite you to linger for hours. The furnishings throughout the house leave nothing to be desired, everything is in impeccable condition, the rooms are very spacious, it just has a lot of space! The kitchen is very spacious and has all the appliances needed for cooking, baking, sizzling! The house has a lady who takes care of the rooms, the cleanliness and the care of the house twice a week, more on request. She is a very warm and kind person, always happy to help. The gardeners are very committed, keep the beautiful garden very clean and very well maintained. In short: a little paradise. For us as golfers all the more because the house allows the view of the Parkview GC…always exciting to watch how other golfers interpret the game for themselves.

We had the pleasure of staying at Stanley & Alison's cottage for a long stay, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Our cat, Meadow, was warmly welcomed, which meant so much to us. The cottage is nestled among stunning trees and abundant wildlife, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Its location is incredibly convenient—close to Melrose Arch, Rosebank Mall, Norwood Mall, and just about anything else we needed. The cottage itself is spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen, bathroom, and for linens. The weekly visits from the friendly cleaner and helpful gardener were a lovely bonus and added to the ease of our stay. Stanley & Alison were excellent hosts, and we truly loved every moment of our time here. We can’t recommend this cottage enough to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-situated retreat. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely 3-bedroom home! Our family of 6, plus our infant, were very comfortably accommodated. The house was exactly as listed—clean, spacious, and equipped with all the promised amenities. It felt very homey and perfect for a family getaway. The host went above and beyond—she was incredibly courteous and responsive throughout our stay. We were especially touched that she even purchased a baby bath for us, in addition to providing the cot listed in the description. Our reservation for the size of our group stay was super! The rooms were huge, private and super neat and clean. The ample bathrooms in the house eases the load and no waiting for others to finish. The entertainment and dining areas were so well planned which makes this house an ideal place for a huge family reunion, group or corporate outing or even a workshop for a small executive group. The kitchen is huge and had lovely amenities. Even the cottage was clean and neat, as our big group of 15 utilized all the facilities. We had a power failure in the house but was quickly attended to and there were daylight alternatives. Housekeeping is right up there.

This cottage is an absolutely lovely place to stay. Cosy, well furnished, with a private garden to sit and enjoy some quiet time among the beautiful tree ferns. We only stayed a night on our way transiting through Joburg but found the commute of abt 30 mins to OR Tambo perfectly manageable. very safe within a boom gated community and close to the shops at Four Ways amd Design Quarter. Quality bed linen, a jacuzzi style bath, and lovely welcoming selection of complimentary snacks were much appreciated. Deirdre and her husband welcomed us and made us and showed us around, making us feel instantly at home. we'll definitely be back! Thank you

I had the pleasure of staying at Caryn’s place for two weeks. Everything was as described, the place was spotless thanks to the lovely lady Vicky. It’s close to shops and restaurants. The garden was nice and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this place. Hope to stay there again.
