Me and my friends loved this BNB!! The hot tub was amazing and the pool was an awesome addition. Instructions were clear and even called to walk me through everything. Plenty of places to sleep and loads of places to go!

This home was beautiful! It was perfect for our team away day. The location was perfect, the home was cozy and Danielle was always available to answer our questions.

Gorgeous heritage home with lots of space and 4 good size bedrooms. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay and within walking distance of downtown. The house is exceptionally clean and well maintained.

Excellent place to stay in New Waterford before riding the Cabot Trail. Pool is heated and views are great. About 5 mins from town but most restaurants deliver - and the new pizza and bakery place is great. Karri & Corri were very responsive and had the place ready within 24hrs notice.

This was a truly fabulous place -- my only regret was not staying longer. We found this listing after planning a trip to Five Islands Provincial Park, as part of a larger road trip around Nova Scotia. Had we known just how wonderful and peaceful the property and area were, we would have stayed longer and used the spot as a bit of a "home base" to do some more exploring around the region. The house is beautiful, and Jennifer and Barclay are really working to create a wonderful small vacation community, with a few other rental units on the property. Jennifer warmly welcomed us on arrival and gave us some local recommendations. The Five Islands Lighthouse Park, which is a 5-minute walk from the unit, is a fabulous place to watch the tide go in and out, and the surrounding residential community feels very warm and welcoming.

It was a place like more than a home. Feeling of residing in a resort. We liked very much. In future when ever we plan to visit this side we will see that we come and relax in the place

Loved this house, even though only two bedrooms it is a large house. Immaculately clean and pristine and it’s even better than photos show. Top rated furnishings and you feel at home straight away, and the appliances are first rate. Beautiful peaceful neighbourhood in the back of Grand Vallee but only a 3 minute drive back to town and amenities. Claudine was a delightful host and was always available to answer any questions we had, as the house is very technically set up. Would recommend this home to anyone who would love a luxury retreat feel.

This Spa like property had every self-care amenity you could think of, was more beautiful than the pictures reflected, spotlessly clean, had phenomenal views and was equipped with everything needed for a peaceful and restful holiday. Priyanka was an exceptionally responsive host, answering questions quickly and accommodating an early check-in. Will definitely return.

Really the perfect house for vacation. Great welcome and lots of little touches. The house is in a dream location, lovingly decorated and perfectly equipped. There's really nothing missing here. Super nice host with great tips and very good accessibility. If we come back to Nova Scotia, we will definitely book the Secret Beach House again. Dear Courtenay, Thank you so much for everything. Gorgeous home. A really comfortable, liveable, well laid out place. Clean and uncluttered. Ben was great to communicate with. We liked the peaceful, remote location. It’s near Panmure Beach which was nice. Didn’t try the kayaks the way our trip played out but the bay would be a gorgeous place to explore on a calm day. Great sunsets on the deck across the bay. Note that it’s pretty far from everything. Just under an hour to Greenwich Dunes or Charlottetown. But the remote location has its own charms. And Montague town nearby has basics like groceries, pharmacy (and walk-in clinic should you need it), liquor store etc. The house next door is close-ish but not too close. We like privacy and didn’t bother us. On the other side there is a house under construction but it looks like they have stopped building and we didn’t see any activity there when we were there. Could be something to ask about before booking though. All in all a fantastic stay. We would come back.

Lovely cottage with great location. Close to nature and amenities. Beautiful, clean and well decorated space. Time spent on the back deck enjoying the hot tub, water views and listening to the birds made it so relaxing and worth while. Julie was great and easy to deal with.

Beautiful view, intimate courtyard. The sauna experience while watching the sea is both relaxing and unforgettable. It was a memorable stay that we recommend to everyone.

If you want the back woods and privacy then this is the place for you!!!! It's Big - It's wood! It's magical! 9 of us on a trip to honor our grandmother's and spread our ashes and bond and it was the absolutely best place. Drinks, hot tub, walks, scavenging the beach for cool finds. Just a heads up...it's open concept so at night if you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs or a night mask with speakers to play white noise. Worth the trip!!!

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

What a Beautiful home and property!!!! Drinking coffee everyday beside a waterfall while watching the tides rise and fall was incredible!! The house was stocked with everything you needed and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed camp fires every night and the quiet soothing sounds of the ocean. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

Best place we've ever stayed. The attention to detail the owners have put in really shows. The location is a welcome relief from the world but close enough to go explore. Would give more than five stars if possible. We'll be back if we're ever on the island again!

The place was very organized and welcoming. It had everything we could need, it was in a very clean condition, and very well equipped. There was a guide with things to do and places for food. One thing to keep in mind is that there is an open roof so id recommend bringing eye masks. It was fun watching the wild life out the window.

The home is beautiful inside and the view is just wonderful. I stayed with my family of 5 adults and the place was spacious and cozy. I loved walking on the beach every morning and night. On rainy days, the games and pool table were great to pass the time. The hosts were also super responsive and even suggested routes with better roads and to nearby places we wanted to check out! Just a peaceful place for a getaway!

Our trip to Nova Scotia was a special celebration for our daughter. We chose the Den of Zen for a number of reasons, all of which exceeded our expectations: beautiful setting on a lake; clean and modern interior; an elixir of natural light from a wall of windows; use of great amenities such as a sauna, hot tub, and grill; close to Halifax/airport and easy access to routes for day trips; and comfortable beds. What was remarkable was the incredible hospitality of our hostess, Shelley, who made the trip THE best by offering attraction suggestions and keeping in touch to answer our questions. She was so attentive. We highly recommend a stay at the Den of Zen!

Christine’s place is gorgeous and a must see. If you like designer accommodations, this takes the cake! The location is gorgeous and has a lovely view! Christine was also amazing and extra accommodating with us given som trip interruptions. We very much appreciated it!

The hospitality of this place was fantastic. The place was spacious, light and bright. Everything you need was there. It was clean and perfectly laid out. A complimentary bottle of local wine and some chocolates was fantastic. Absolutely loved the place.

This is a really beautiful space in an even more beautiful stretch of woods and coast that gave us truly the best of Maine! Hosts were very quick and helpful with various requests and questions (even when we got locked out), and the space was a lovely honeymoon spot for my husband and I.
