Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Atlantic Beach

This was our first time in Atlantic Beach and we all really liked it and would like to come back. We would gladly stay at this property again. It is in a quiet, private location, yet very close to the action. We were very comfortable with the size and furnishings. The owner even arranged a sign and balloons in the kitchen wishing us a happy anniversary. The back decks and yard were great for our dogs. We like things as quiet and uncrowded as possible, so we went to the beach at the New Bern Street public access point. There are restrooms and an outdoor shower. Once you are on the actual beach, you can only see big beach houses and no businesses, hotels or condos. We also enjoyed the aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, and Cape Lookout National Seashore, and highly recommend both. Having a Dollar General right down the street was very convenient, and there is a Food Lion not far down the road. There are also plenty of beach/souvenir shops close by. Paul’s house was perfect for a long weekend get away. House was clean and bed was very comfortable. Little notes told what needed to be done. Paul was responsive to messages. Just a note… it is on a corner of very busy main road and the side street was used a lot. Not sure how noise was in front bedroom at night but we had no noise in back bedroom. We were only there to sleep so it didn’t bother us. There is a great screen porch that we did enjoy. A great location for the beach. The bridge is right across the street. Convenient for grocery/ pharmacy, etc. would definitely stay again for the price of a beach get away

This place is gorgeous and Tammi is the perfect host. The house is beautiful and accommodating, and the pool and easy beach access were awesome for everybody in my family. Tammi is super friendly and quick to respond to any messages, so beyond the awesome vacation we had here, she made all the logistics clear and easy.

We loved staying here! It was close to everything, but in a really nice quiet location. The house was clean and well stocked. The disco ball was a fun touch! Chris was extremely responsive and was super easy to work with. We highly recommend this property!!

The host was very thoughtful and went above and beyond with providing a lovely gift basket and extra toiletries in case we forgot anything. She was willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Being in walking distance to the beach was nice, but the heated pool was the cherry on top. Only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

What a beautiful, cozy cottage. I LOVED the vaulted ceiling and skylights in the living room/kitchen. The cottage is located in a rural area, but is close enough to Beaufort, Harkers’s Island, or Morehead City that there is plenty to do. The hosts were extremely friendly, left thoughtful complimentary gifts, and left tons of information about the area. I would definitely recommend Laura’s cottage and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Comfortable 2nd floor apartment in a quite neighborhood. Ample parking. Has 3 beds: queen and single in the bedroom and queen-size sofa bed (pretty comfortable) in the main room. Full kitchen with all the necessities, bathroom with shower. Nice open deck - was great to dry out diving equipment. Everything was clean, in good shape and matched the descriptions / photos. A few restaurants within 5 min drive; we found a couple within walking distance. Overall, a nice and clean apartment and a good value.

Incredible!!! Whimsical Whale was perfect for our family! We felt as if we were staying the week with a distant relative. We felt welcomed and wanted but were given space even though they live upstairs. It was a beautiful, convenient and safe location. They do fail to mention in the listing that they have just about everything you think you need for a beach trip. A storage shed full of all the beach necessities, even a grill we were able to use. I believe out of all of the beach gear we brought, we only used our wagon. She even brought us assorted chocolate covered pretzels, they were delicious. They do have WiFi, and televisions. Although the only way to stream is through the blu ray player. I would suggest bringing some dvds if you have little ones coming along. 10 out of 10, 5 stars across the board!!!

We loved this place. It was clean, comfortable, it had everything that we needed, it’s walking distance to nice places to eat and drink, that are right on the water and it has a pool!!!

Had a great stay - Steve and Marcy were very friendly and responsive, and the place was a clean, comfortable getaway. Had everything we needed there, and we really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

Beautiful place, amazing location and great host. Everything was provided for us to enjoy our stay near the beach, chairs, towels, flip-flops and even outdoor showers. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again next time we visit the area.

We had a great time staying here on Atlantic Beach. The beach was never crowded, and we enjoyed the proximity to other great places like Fort Macon and Beaufort, so it wasn't just the beach every day. The resort itself is wonderful. Check-in was easy and the office staff friendly. The resort is also staffed with people who keep the common areas clean and in working order. The interior of each building feels like summer camp cabins (in a good way) with walls of cedar, then you go into the unit, which is clean and comfortable, and step through to the balcony overlooking the pool and with a view of the beach. My kids have said several times this was their favorite place to stay, and their favorite trip ever.

We just completed our third stay with Marilyn. Our family absolutely loves this spot. It's so nice that our family of 6 can fit fairly comfortably and it's especially great that there are two full bathrooms. We also love how well kept the property grounds are, as well as how easy it is to get to the beach. We just got home a little while ago and my 4 teens are already talking about planning our next trip! Thank you Marilyn!

Albeit the space is a little small, its perfect for a couple trying to have a close spot to the beach. Its easy to get in and out, relaxing, good amenities. There is a washer and dryer available in the main building, but we didn't press for that because there was a laundromat in town we could use. They really try to make use of every space in the condo.

Fantastic spot right by the beach with access to two pools. Loved that there were games, towels, kitchenware and toys for kids.

Great stay with such close beach access. Fort Macon is very close has beautiful trails surrounding it. The space was perfect for a long weekend and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay here! The condo was very clean and spacious. We had a newborn with us and were able to easily fit her pack and play in the bed room. It is a short walk to the beach and a nice peaceful area. We will definitely book here again! Thanks for a great weekend!

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. From the provided guidebook with all the information you need to the cleanliness of the home and the fact that all you need to bring is yourself/family, clothing, toiletries, and any food you want to cook, everything else is provided for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return!
