Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Athens

Our home unfortunately flooded and I was completely distraught since my husband was out of town. I reached out to this place on the lake to see if we could stay that same night since our home was being torn apart. Danelle responded right away and we were able to check in within a couple hours of booking. What a relief! We booked 4 nights since that was what was available. Then, when their weekend booking canceled, she reached out to me immediately and offered for us to stay through the weekend. We very much needed that since our home was still being worked on. The home had everything we could possibly need including things we didn’t need but it was nice to have (sonic ice? Heck yes!). The lake was exactly what we needed after all we had been through. The kids loved the kayaks and jumping off the docks! The roof deck was perfect for laying out in the sun. We had all the beach towels we needed and the couch was super comfy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Buffalo Inn. 10/1

Our stay in Tyler was nothing short of perfect! The home is nestled in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just minutes from some of the best restaurants and shops in town. The location truly couldn’t be better for exploring everything Tyler has to offer. The host was incredibly responsive and made us feel welcome from the moment we booked, always quick to answer questions and provide helpful local tips. What really set this home apart were the spa-like amenities—the private sauna and hot tub turned our getaway into a true relaxation experience. After a day out, unwinding in the hot tub or sauna made us feel like we were at a luxury spa. We can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of indulgence in Tyler!

Fantastic stay at Sunset Shores with my family! We grew up on Lake Athens and knew the area well. This is such a beautiful lot and the home (and dock!!) have been spectacularly renovated. Plus, the hosts clearly use the space because it has everything you could possibly need. I always favor lived in AirBnBs for exactly that reason. We will be back. Thank you, Shane!

Chris and Andrea were attentive and very responsive hosts. Their lakefront escape was nicely furnished, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with needed items and there was ample room for our family of six. The deck was comfortable and inviting with the outdoor dining table/chairs, grill and sitting area. The A/C and fans kept us cool while we were inside enjoying the nighttime movies on the TVs with streaming apps. The best aspect overall for our family was the outdoor space and the lake. It was very private and we absolutely enjoyed our time fishing, swimming, paddleboating and relaxing surrounded by nature.

This was our 2nd stay and I can now say it’s one of my happy places. We love the peaceful location and the house has everything we need to make it an enjoyable stay. The owners have really made an effort to have everything you need at the house. No need to run to town if you forgot something. I truly appreciate that attention to detail. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved this spacious and wonderful home. It fit our large family and gave us privacy. Peaceful while still being close to town for a quick store run. We loved the swimming pool and billiards table. And our favorite is the large dining table we were all able to sit at together.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakefront home! The space was incredibly comfortable, clean, and well-appointed — perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The location is great with stunning views and direct access to the lake. Even though we don’t have a boat, the private dock was a great bonus — we enjoyed morning coffee by the water, sunset views, and easy access for swimming. It was peaceful, private, and everything we hoped for in a lake getaway. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

The question was it worth the price, I've learned a couple things after staying in these places. Hotels are not ok past one night it's for traveling you have family Air B&B is only way. I believe prices are comparable to others in the area. I've stayed here before because I know the place is well worth it. I think others say it well in that the place has things to function we always seemed to find a well stocked kitchen with things.

Betsy was extremely quick with responses and very helpful! Think of the place as a small, but very cozy and humble abode with everything you need! If you want some peace from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, then this is the place to be! The balcony is perfect for night-time reminiscing and storytelling 📖 It's definitely a bonus if you like hearing the nature that surrounds you. Betsy was even kind enough to let us overstay a little for our checkout time since no one had reserved the place the following day yet. While me and my partner were still prompt on leaving in a timely manner, the offer left us not feeling rushed to get our butts out of there. This was an especially pleasant feeling when it came to having to pack everything up to leave. ☺️ Haha. Would definitely come here again! Heck, my girlfriend is practically begging to come back here again, she enjoyed it all so much xD

We were very pleased with our 6 night stay. Our GPS took us right there but we were also given clear written directions. Any questions we had were promptly answered . The apartment complex borders on the city park which gave us privacy and a quiet environment . Our little dog had a great area to have daily walks. The apartment looked just like the pictures and had all the comforts of home. We really liked having a laundry available to us in the building as well. We could continue our travels with clean clothes. That was so convenient. We had a great stay . We highly recommend this Airbnb.

I’m so glad we went. It was one of our best weekend trips. Needed some peace and quiet. The property was well maintained and they really made us feel at home. Constantly making sure we had all we needed. We got to see their homestead and the beautiful craftsmanship and love that Doug had put into their home. It’s a place that you can go and spend some quality time with God and be near His beautiful country. We really feel like we made some great friends and will definitely return again. We originally went there to go to canton first Monday. Honestly we were only at Canton for around maybe 1 1/2hrs and spent the remainder at Connie and Doug’s place. It was so much fun staying in the studio apartment above the barn, just like in heartland! Thanks again for great conversations and friendship! Go check it out you won’t be disappointed!!

Although it was smaller than places we normally rent, it was sufficient for our needs. Close to work, convenient to many restaurants and stores. William responded quickly to messages and accommodated with any concern we had.

We really enjoyed our stay! Our family has property on Lake Palestine right around the corner to visit with family during the day. It was very convenient and comfortable to come to each night for a peaceful night. I really like the natural products provided for us - hand soap, lotion and cleaning spray. Our host responded quickly to some minor needs. We plan to stay here next time we are in the area.

It was perfect for our quick weekend to Tyler for a baseball tournament. The pool was very convenient on our off time when it was hot. Very quiet complex and it was very nice being able to bring our dog with us.

We brought our two young children to this condo for a long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. It was super easy to check in and the condo was so welcoming and clean! We felt like we were staying at a friends house instead of a rental the whole time. It was very cozy. We endured a pretty serious storm while we were there and never lost power even though that storm was wicked! The pool was absolutely fabulous. We barely were out of it. The harbor restaurant next-door has some of the best food we’ve ever had. We tried tons of stuff on their menu and it was all so delicious. The beds were comfortable and did I mention how clean it was?! Melissa was wonderful and was only a text away the whole time. The only thing I would make sure of is the elevators working. They were semi functional during our stay and we made do, but it was difficult. It would be hard if not impossible for elderly people or some others to physically get by without the elevators. Absolutely will be back!

Great condo located at the holiday in vacation villages resort! Clean and lots to do for the whole family.

It looks just like the pictures had plenty of beds, very clean, very peaceful, the host was easy to get in touch with answered questions promptly, the driveway was rough getting into, and no access to the water. Had a great stay, would recommend.
