Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Athens

Our home unfortunately flooded and I was completely distraught since my husband was out of town. I reached out to this place on the lake to see if we could stay that same night since our home was being torn apart. Danelle responded right away and we were able to check in within a couple hours of booking. What a relief! We booked 4 nights since that was what was available. Then, when their weekend booking canceled, she reached out to me immediately and offered for us to stay through the weekend. We very much needed that since our home was still being worked on. The home had everything we could possibly need including things we didn’t need but it was nice to have (sonic ice? Heck yes!). The lake was exactly what we needed after all we had been through. The kids loved the kayaks and jumping off the docks! The roof deck was perfect for laying out in the sun. We had all the beach towels we needed and the couch was super comfy. We couldn’t be more grateful for Buffalo Inn. 10/1

Very well kept home and had everything you would need on your stay. Beau was very responsive and friendly to all our questions. House was right on the water in a very peacefully cove free of all the boat traffic. Kids had a blast on the kayaks and fishing off the dock. We will definitely come back if we get the chance. Highly recommend this place!

As a disclaimer, I was in the area for a funeral after a fairly large rain storm and then it was very warm (hot). I think under cooler conditions, and less rain the night before, this would be a great "couples" getaway. I would have loved to have sat out on that front porch and watched the animals. Instead, I watched them from inside where it was cool and comfortable. There were treats to give to the animals but, again, I did not make it out there. Again, the amenities were great and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable!! I did not want to get up and leave the next morning. Of course, remember, you are on a secluded ranch so there will be wild life. Birds and I think tree frogs (I never saw them only heard them) were extremely happy and singing away. Lisa was quick to answer any questions I had and I am sure would have responded to any issues. I just did not see any issues that needed to be addressed. Thank you!

Stayed here almost a month with two coworkers. Beautiful, peaceful place with a great deck out back to enjoy the views and the water. The only downside were the roads to the Airbnb for a couple miles were extremely rough and bumpy.

10/10 would recommend! When ever we visit Lindale again I plan to return to this house. It was spacious, generously stocked in both the kitchen and bathrooms with lots of extra towels and blankets. Extremely family friendly with games and puzzles! AND you would never know it was a pet friendly house. Not a spec or a smell of animal, I was extremely impressed! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Kids loved the house, hard trouble getting them to come with us to the lake will all the fun they were having in the house.

Our stay was heaven. This was the most peaceful vacation I have ever taken AND we have five kids. 😂 I could not have imagined a better place. Our hosts were super responsive to any questions and the house/location was a dream. Would recommend 10/10!

The home was for my son and his groomsmen, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Brian was extremely communicative and friendly and easy to work with. I totally recommend this home!

Susie was a fantastic host, very communicative and clear with her instructions, she checked in with us and made sure everything was good for our single night stay. As a full-time host myself it was nice to have a host who does a great job and doesn't just do the bare minimum for the reservation to be completed. Beautiful property with lots of animals surrounded by nature and a very clean little bunkhouse. My wife and I were quite happy with the spot and do recommend staying here, a slice of country instead of just overpaying for some hotel in town.

Cute little tiny house, great for a fishing getaway! Comfy king sized bed with nice linens. Boat dock nearby to see gorgeous sunsets over the lake. I reserved this location because I was traveling to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, and could not get a reservation in Canton. This was a lovely place, but a little further drive from Canton than I would have preferred. All that to say, if I were planning a fishing trip to Lake Fork, I would definitely book Off the Hook again!

The home is incredible and the host /Nicole was helpful and quickly responded to all messages before and after trip. There is nothing I can complain about. I wish it was my home!! I would love to go back!

Great tiny home right by the community pool and boat dock. It has a pier for boats. The house was perfect! The screened in porch was a big bonus for being in the sun all day.

It was perfect for our quick weekend to Tyler for a baseball tournament. The pool was very convenient on our off time when it was hot. Very quiet complex and it was very nice being able to bring our dog with us.

We couldn't have asked for better hosts. Usually I hear negative things about guest houses, but we had plenty of privacy. Our dogs had just as much fun, if not more. They swam and ran to their hearts content. Their dogs were friendly through the fence. Los Hermanos is a delicious Mexican restaurant they recommended. It's not far from the rental. Perfect for a date night without the fur kids. The covered dock (with floats and a swim latter) and the firepit were my highlights. We made burgers and tacos with the smoker. Super easy to use. We had plenty of choices for movie night because they have a wide selection of streaming services. We will definitely be back. It's a GEM!

We had a wonderful time and loved this spot so much! Kristi was amazing with any questions and the house was fully stocked with whatever we needed. Outside the lake was wonderful with kayaks and rafts to keep you busy for days. We will definitely be booking again. We enjoyed every minute of it!

We found the house to be extremely quiet with the beautiful lake right outside the window. Deyon was a delightful hostess. Because I told her I loved birds, she bought a feeder for me to use and I really enjoyed the birds - Northern Cardinal, Blue Jay, Tufted Titmouse, House Finch, Eastern Phoebe, Red-headed Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, etc. That was extra special. My husband said that this is the best Airbnb we ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot. I highly recommend Deyon’s place.

This stay was such a dream! The property is absolutely beautiful, and the experience felt like having our own private petting zoo. We loved getting to meet and feed the animals in the evening it was such a unique and fun experience, especially for the kids (and honestly, the adults too!). The owners were so kind, welcoming, and clearly love what they do. It made the stay feel extra special. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something peaceful, memorable, and full of charm. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

There was 4 of us and it was an unbelievable stay. Using the kayaks and just being by the lake was amazing. The deck had a bbq with most things provided for. Wish we stayed for longer. Such a peaceful stay during the day and the property was not far from the shops. At night and sunset, it was stunning. 10/10 stay

My stay was perfect! Wonderful little cabin with beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful and quiet. The owner was very nice and the property was easy to find. The cabin was super clean and looked like the photos. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a Peaceful stay and enjoys nature. The ducks were very cute and the trees were beautiful :). I will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful visit at Tina's lakefront casa! While the weather created a snag and an early departure, we still enjoyed what time we had! The property location is definitely a hidden gem! Very serene and calming in a beautiful cove type setting. The house had everything we needed to grill out & enjoy all our meal preps. We were able to bring both our dogs and the fenced yard was perfect for them to run around and enjoy it too! We had the extra treat of meeting Tina and her family. So friendly and welcoming! The entire stay went without any glitches (outside of Mother Nature) and will definitely be back to view some meteor showers in next coming months! Thank you Tina for being a fantastic host! You are the best!
