Family (2 adults & 2 kids) loved our stay, very well equipped and a lovely place to stay. Football goals and football was a good addition - the playground is no longer there but kids enjoyed their stay.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this property. The local surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice addition and communication with our host was excellent from start to finish. I would happily recommend a stay here :)

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Perfect stay from start to end. It rained when we stayed but that didn’t matter as we spent time in the hot tub under the shelter and the barn was really cosy. Very clean and felt like home. I can’t wait to come back :)

Booked for our 20th wedding anniversary and used for a base to explore Skipton and a day out in York. Close enough to Skipton to enjoy the town and the night life. The Granary was immaculate. Hot Tub amazing and already planning a second visit. The location is stunning, peaceful and we enjoyed every minute .

we were very impressed with Nicholas house very clean and equipped every thing we needed was there and more Location was great close to restrauants and Thirsk where we had lunch . could not fault it Will definitely go again

Sally and David’s place was beautiful. It was decorated tastefully and was just the right size for the two of us and our border terrier We were welcomed by a box of goodies for the three of us! There was a great pub and a cafe in Hebden, both within easy walking distance and the surrounding countryside was just lovely.

Stayed for a couple of nights to explore the Dales. Lovely, cute cottage with everything you’d need. Private garden was ideal for the dog to stretch his legs and some fantastic walks literally from the doorstep. Carole was always on hand for advice and local knowledge! Would definitely come back and stay again

What an absolute gem we found in Apple House. The pictures really don't do the whole place justice! A cosy, romantic house set in beautiful, serene surroundings. It really was the perfect location for our mini moon! Was lovely to be greeted by the chickens and Russel the dog each morning <3 We were treated to some tasty welcome gifts and the place was spotless, very comfy bed and just the most charming decor. Thank you so much Emma and Craig! We will definitely be returning with more of our family!

We absolutely loved The Hideaway and wished we'd been able to stay for more than one night. Louise was so friendly and helpful, and although we didn't get to meet, we had everything we wanted and quick help when we messaged her with questions about where to eat etc. The Hideaway is immaculately clean and so stylish. The bed was super comfy and the shower fantastic. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked with utensils and crockery and Louise had kindly left us fresh eggs (from her gorgeous free ranging chickens, who came to say hello as we arrived), fresh milk and bread and a bakery treat each. It's a light, bright and welcoming apartment with beautiful views over Nidderdale. We had complete privacy and even a little garden space with picnic table and fabulous view. We were delighted to wake to the gentle calls of the curlews in nearby fields and we felt truly 'on holiday'. The sad part was leaving .. we really hope to be back soon and to explore this amazing part of Yorkshire

A fabulous stay. Beautiful, fully equipped, cottage. The little balcony with its view was something else - great spot for an early morning cuppa! The 6 of us had a great time for a special weekend, visiting The Piece Hall and Hebden Bridge. We would not hesitate to recommend and would love to come back.

Perfect! Exactly what we wanted, the cottage was pristine and equipped to a high standard with everything you need. Although dogs are welcome you would never know that a dog had been anywhere near. The location is secluded and peaceful with great views with horse stables next door and horses in the field. Swallows nesting in the stables constantly flying around. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs to wander freely safely. Joanna is a great friendly host responsive and only too happy to help. Would highly recommend!

Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was a perfect haven for a relaxing holiday. The scenery was breathtaking, and we spent much of the time gazing out of the window at the dramatic weather and wildlife. We wished we could have stayed longer! Deb & Tim were amazing hosts and the cottage is an absolute stunner. Perfect size and layout for a trip to the stunning pendle district. Great help with everything and the 3 pubs all within 20 minutes are fantastic. Will definitely be back to visit again.

Great ground floor cottage in a beautiful village. We used this property as a base for work with a nearby hotel and it suited us perfectly. Very well equipped, clean and cosy cottage. My only minor negative is the location pin took us to another property further up the road, but we soon found the cottage!

We had a fantastic stay at David’s beautiful and unique accommodation. David was responsive to all queries and made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s clearly passionate about the space he has designed and built — it’s thoughtfully planned, exceptionally well designed, and full of character.The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. We had the best night’s sleep in the enormous, super-comfy bed, and the large walk-in shower was a joy to use. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The views from the living area and terrace are lovely. It’s an easy and scenic walk into the centre of Marsden along the canal towpath or a quiet lane, and both the Standedge Tunnel and North of England Centre for Music and Arts with its cafe are just a couple of minutes away on foot. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay. 3 nights here and we wished we had longer. The home was clean and comfortable with a nice sized kitchen and dining area. Two nice sized en-suite bedrooms with comfortable beds too!. You’re Surrounded by lovely views no matter where you sit in this home. The host Paula was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Paula offered and set up a travel cot for us prior to our arrival which was very much appreciated, especially when you have to pack so much with a little one. We all loved our weekend here and would book again!.

So lucky to have found this gem, thank you Pat for being such a wonderful host! Pat's place has beautiful views all round and it was a treat to see all the moorland birds. There was even a snipe one morning on the lawn, cuckoo, woodcock and short-eared owl in the adjacent fields. We enjoyed the remoteness and not having a mobile phone signal was a bonus. Pat was super helpful, the cottage is very generous with gated driveway, well equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms.

Wonderful stay. David was a great, welcoming host, lovely arrival gifts of cake flowers, bread and the biggest choice of hot drinks available I've ever seen! Lovely inside , comfy lounge, wonderful bedding and robes. Great shower. Beautiful outside space. Really pleased with our choice to stay here.

What a fabulous hideaway tucked in the Yorkshire Dales. Many great walks of distance from the front door, a nice village pub and wonderful accommodation. Very snug and a genuine feeling of home from home. Impeccably clean ! We are returning. Thank you Sarah. Saff.
