Lovely traditional cosy cottage, ideal for a break. Very well set out with attention to detail and the perfect welcome pack to get you started. Nice area with lots of walks or cycling routes. The Croft/small holding looks like it’s very well cared for and is a credit to Alison and family. We will return.

Great stay, great location, everything we needed. We recommend a walk or two on the Speyside Way, Mash Tun in Aberlou is a great place to refuel, as is the Highlander right across from the cottage. And very nice of Michelle to provide a wee jug of whisky in the cottage

Islas Cottage offered a lovely cosy space for our grooms accommodation for our wedding. Forbes was incredibly friendly and proactive in getting in touch beforehand, there was a really lovely care package of some essentials in the kitchen and some nice sweet treats too! The property was clean and well appointed, we would come back again!

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

RachelRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Cosy, secluded, little beauty spot. the hosts were super welcoming, we loved this spot as it is both remote and connected at the same time. The accommodation is exactly as pictured, super cosy, warm, lovely aesthetic and spotlessly clean. The grounds around the house are a delight, with views for miles. Breakfast was lovely, and was nice to have chats with David and sample his excellent cooking. very generous hosts, we would love to return.
