What a lovely place. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. we arrived and met Carol and Pete, who were lovely and friendly. Everything was as described. There weren't many pub open on a Monday, so we popped to Waitrose and bought some pizzas. So glad there was an oven in the premises. Would recommend to anyone, and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Cosy cottage with log burner, a hidden gem

NancyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked a 3 night stay in the week. Harry’s place was fantastic. He supplied enough breakfast items to feed a few people, which was such a bonus . The house was lovely, really homely and comfortable. Our pooch was catered for too. Some really beautiful walks from the house into the woods, which we all enjoyed. The coast was about 30mins drive, which we did visit. One thing to note, some of the local restaurants/takeaways were not open until midweek which wasn’t a deal breaker but good to know. The Pig at Combe was a great place to visit and eat, dogs allowed in the Folly, highly recommend. Communication from Harry was great and we did get to meet him as they only live next door. We would definitely like to visit again.

Counting Sheep Shepherd Hut

Great spot, loved the hot tub and the thoughtful touches. Very peaceful area. Worth noting for those with mobility issues that parking is down a farm track and you can’t park near the Shepards hut so need to get a lift with Karen/carry luggage and food up the track if she’s not available.

The Studio

StephenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Always loved loved this part of the world so I knew what was coming. However, the place you stay on holiday can make a big difference. The studio is a really nice accommodation. Nicely decorated and kept very well - couldn't fault a thing. The Studio has absolutely beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our time there and will be recommending it to our family and friends. Thankyou Sarah

Finest Retreats | Hillfarrow Hideaway

AnitaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The Hideaway is outstanding, spotlessly clean and a real home from home. Hosts on site are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The company managing the property were also friendly. The courtyard garden was great for our 3 dogs and very safe. It was nice that the dogs were made to feel welcome as some Airbnbs upon check in hit you with extra rules!!! There is actually a 2 ring hob in the kitchenette which we didn’t see mentioned in the description so that was a bonus. We will definitely be going back and cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic 2 nights. Peaceful and secluded and beautiful surroundings. Hot tub is excellent, spent lovely evening looking at the stars around the firepit. Felt like we were the only people there. Perfect getaway. Becky the host was very friendly, with easy to follow directions to the farm. Would love to stay again.
