Spacious seafront house in historic fishing town

This stylish place to stay is perfect for group trips. Directly on the waterfront, the newly renovated property has beautiful uninterrupted views across the Taw-Torridge estuary and out to sea. The house is fresh and open plan, ideal for a sociable atmosphere. We are a 5 min walk to the great pubs, cafés and restaurants on Appledore quay, and a 30 min picturesque walk to Westward Ho! beach - 2.5 km of sand dunes and surf. You can swim off the Lifeboat slipway just 100 yards down the street.

Mariners Cottage, a beautiful two bedroom house

Mariners Cottage is a beautifully restored traditional cottage, nestled between colourful cobbled streets in the charming fishing village of Appledore, North Devon. Our newly renovated dog friendly cosy cottage is the perfect base to explore the local area, the fine eateries and the stunning coastal walks. The log burner is perfect to relax in front of, after a day out. We live locally, and are on hand to help with any recommendations or questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you.

A bright spacious open plan 1 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment. Within easy walking distance of the village,shops and beach of Westward Ho!. Plenty of cafes, restaurants/bars to dine in or takeaway. Long sandy beach is great for surfing, swimming or walking. Coastpath/golfcourse 5 min walk away. Cycling -Tarka trail, 2 miles. Ideally suited for couples or with baby/older child.( click/clack small sofabed with topper is fairly basic but OK for short stays for 1 or 2 people for an odd night or two!)

Badgers’ Holt is a spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable family home with secure garden, offering outstanding views of the estuary and beyond. The property boasts its own dedicated parking space, a shared, second parking space and ample on-street parking. Fully equipped home including dishwasher and washer-dryer. Only a five minute walk into Appledore village with its wonderful cafes, boutique shops and restaurants. Up to 3 (well behaved!) dogs are welcome at no extra charge.

Dummett Cottage is a Grade 2 listed 3 bedroom fishing cottage with an incredible garden backing directly onto the Taw-Torridge estuary. Sit on the patio and watch beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic as fishing boats and yachts sail by. Set on one of Appledore's oldest streets, and dating from around 1700, Dummett Cottage is one of the original houses built in Appledore. From the inglenook fireplace to the exponses beams and arches, this cottage is full of character and history.

Bimbos is originally a 17th century cottage with the drang (alleyway) even older It is a quirky cottage with lots of interesting original features. It has estuary views, easy access to walks and several pubs and restaurants close by. The cottage is equipped for a family or 2 couples to enjoy with both bedrooms having their own en-suite bathrooms. The property also has a separate dining room and kitchen and the lounge looks out on to the garden which has a seated decking area.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Olivia, Sam and Tobys cottage it's a lovely unspoiled part of the country with polite people and beautiful surroundings, plenty to do and see, lots of very local pubs and eateries (dog friendly too) local amenities only a 5 minutes car trip away, car parks a couple of mins walk, the cottage is as described very clean and everything you need including bbq, bed is very comfy too as some rented hol let's are awful, all in all very pleased and would go again in future, Best regards Jack & Kay.

What a beautiful holiday Chalet. Where do I start.. it’s a perfect setting for a peaceful break away. Instow Beach is just 2 mins walk away. Bridget has thought of everything in the chalet, the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are all fully equipped, everything is new and the Chalet is brilliantly laid out with high ceilings and velux windows. Such lovely light and airy rooms and it has under floor heating! excellent home from home x I will be looking to book it again very soon x well done Bridget, and thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Sea View Cottage Dream By The Water

We had a lovely little stay at Dream by the Water. It’s a stunning house with a view that’s unbeatable. We had an issue on arrival but Natalie responded immediately and rectified the situation quickly and professionally which was great. The beds were SO comfy, the kitchen well equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay. I’m not sure anything could top the view from the lounge. We had all weathers during our stay and it remained the focal point. There’s lots to do in Appledore, when you’re not sat on the balcony mesmerised. We enjoyed a fabulous steak at Flame Factory, and cannot recommend enough the excellently run Instow Ferry! We will be back I’m sure.

We had a lovely stay. Great location so close to the quay. We were there walking the south west coast path and it was perfect. The house was great, the photos don’t do it justice, and the beds were really comfortable. We loved it, thank you!
