Modern stylish villa: My Amsterdam Houseboat
Modern, design furniture, very light and bright, huge equipped kitchen, fireplace, great balconies and floating terraces New designed houseboat, 2 layers in the centre of Amsterdam. Houseboat has 2 layers and is 150m2. It contains a big modern kitchen and living room with fireplace. Outside it has 2 big terraces and 2 balconies. One side is glass and the houseboat is very light. The master kingsize bedroom has like everywhere heated floors, a modern double showered bath room also with a bubble bath. The second kingsize bedroom has a sink and a shower as well. There is a second toilet on the hallway. A third toilet at the entrance. There is a third bedroom with a kingsize bed. decoration is design furniture and all is brand new. Public transport is nearby and you can walk into the Jordaan in 5 minutes. The houseboat is located 500 meters from the heart of the Jordaan, in the historic center of Amsterdam. The Jordaan is an area full of small restaurants, terraces, fun shops alternating with beautiful canals, small streets and with a variety of wonderful historic buildings. The Jordaan borders on the well-known shopping area the Negen Kleine Straatjes (literally: Nine Little Streets) were you can also find many small shops and cozy restaurants. Within walking distance you will find highlights like the Anne Frank House, the Westertower, the Dam square, theRoyal Palace and the Amsterdam Historic Museum. The houseboat is easily reachable by car and public transport (see below under “Accessibility"), but once you're here, the easiest means of transportation is by bicycle (see tab “Bicycle rental"). The houseboat is a 10 minutes walk from the nicest shopping street in Amsterdam (and awarded second best shopping street of the Netherlands 2011): Haarlemmerdijk and about 15 minutes from Central Station or the Leidseplein. It is a mere 500 meters walk North to the beautiful, and recently fully renovated Westerpark, also known as the “Culture Park" of Amsterdam. In Westerpark you will find a classic Victorian style park section, a large center section for cultural events and a more rugged part with trails for walkers or runners. Centrally located in the park you will find the Espressofabriek with simply the best coffee Amsterdam has to offer. Enjoy a superb breakfast in the nearby Bakkerswinkel. Every Sunday of the month there is a farmers market in the park. If you're looking for something very close to the houseboat, we recommend the Paviljoen. In summary, a peaceful but central location in a nice neighborhood in Amsterdam. ACCESSIBILITY: From the airport you can take a train to central station (20 min). From there you can either walk (20 minutes), take a cab (approximately € 13) or take bus 21 (less than 10 minutes). To take bus 21. When you arrive at Central Station, exit on the city side (main Exit). Take bus nr 21 and get off after 5 minutes at the stop “Kostverlorenkade". At a little square in front of a gym. Take the road left of this square and then walk towards the end until you see houseboats ( 300m) ten take a left to number 22 You are in front of my houseboat! When you decide to come by car. You can park your car almost always near the houseboat. However, Amsterdam is not very “car friendly" as the city charges rather high rates for parking. Alternatively, go to Park and Ride Amsterdam for cheaper parking options. The Park and Ride that is closest to us, is the “P+R Sloterdijk". The cost for Park and Ride is € 8 per day. They offer return tickets for public transport free of charge.
