Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Amelia County

A friend and I stayed here for a 24 visit to Richmond. This is a great walkable location.. lots of restaurants and bars. Parking was great. The house itself was even more charming in person. We loved the high ceilings, old hardwood floors and original moldings. The place was very clean and everything was easy to use. Kristin gave us clear instructions and she was very responsive. I believe there was mention of the noise from the restaurant across the street where there is a large outdoor patio and close enough to hear lots of loud chatting. However, it was not a problem whatsoever as it is not a ruckus-y bar and it also closes at 11pm. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful, charming place. So easy to find and check in. It was absolutely clean and tidy. Check in and check out were easy. I was a little nervous at first for street parking in Richmond can be difficult, but it wasn't an issue at any time of the day or evening when we returned to the home. Sitting on the porch enjoying the weather after a day of touring the city was so pleasant. The area is peaceful and quiet. It is perfectly placed for access to all activities in Richmond but quiet and restful in the evening and sleeping, away from the hustle bustle of the city. We will happily stay again when the need arises.

We had a nice and relaxing stay! We were in Richmond for medical treatment for my husband and we spent three weeks at the house. It was very clean, comfortable, and is in a great neighborhood. It is close to several Target and Kroger stores and many other shopping centers. It is also a close and easy drive to VCU. Cadu was always quick to respond to any questions we had and was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this house to stay in for any length of time!!

This home and this neighborhood is old and completely charming. Walking inside through the front door just feels good— everything is tastefully furnished and decorated with just the right touch of modern amenities. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Truly well done and a big thank you to our hosts! Blair was so responsive and helpful. We loved our time here and would absolutely stay here again.

What a lovely gem in Richmond! Nothing but good things to say about the house; lovely backyard, clean and modern interior, and a very comfortable bed. We were especially fond of the permaculture backyard; it's not something you see often, but it was a really lovely and unique aspect of the property that we enjoyed (and I'm supportive of the effort/theory behind it)!

My favorite airbnb to date!!! Such a beautiful, historic house with everything we needed to feel right at home. The 4 separate bedrooms and beds were great. Plenty of space for a family or group of friends to spend time together but still have privacy. The location was perfect too with ample parking. The playground right across the street was a nice surprise for the kids too. We absolutely loved this home and will definitely be back ❤️

We booked this townhouse last minute as we needed to be closer to the airport for an early morning flight, after spending a few days at a bed and breakfast in Mathews County a little ways away. It ended up being the perfect place for our group of five. Very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The check-in process was smooth, and the host left clear, easy-to-follow instructions, which we really appreciated. It’s those little touches and extra thoughtfulness that made our short stay feel so welcoming. Highly recommend!

Tim was a super communicative and responsive host, the house was great and easy to get into, and the location is great. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers staying at the house, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Tim also had items for our kids (a pack n play, high chair, etc), items to clean up messes, and laundry on site. Of note, in the description, the beds are all listed as queen-sized, but it appeared that one bed (the back right room closest to the stairs), was actually full-sized. Other than that, our stay was great.

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a peaceful place to stay where our dogs could get some exercise. Luke was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the trails with our dogs. The cabin had everything we needed but kept the rustic charm. I enjoyed watching the horses in the pasture from the back screened in porch. We will definitely return when visiting family again.

This place was great! The location makes it easy to get to many places in Richmond quickly and it was a perfect location for a family wedding in nearby Maymont. The house is beautiful and the furnishings very comfortable. The pool was a special bonus - lovely and relaxing with incredible plantings. Clearly a lot of time was spent considering what guests might want. I just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.

Shannon’s place met our expectations. The price for our stay was more than reasonable. It’s such a quiet and calming space. Everything was super clean, and the neighbors were super friendly. Would 100% recommend it!

Absolutely wonderful! The house was beautifully decorated. We used this for my partner’s birthday trip and it exceeded our expectations! We were mindful it is still an active horse ranch so there were ants but we were prepared. Other than that everything was exceptional and the horses were beautiful too!

Edna's condo was a cozy place for us to stay while visiting/supporting new parents as they welcomed another little one. Having two bathrooms was helpful, the kitchen had everything we needed for our meal prep. It's a quiet location and when the weather cooperated we enjoyed walking the trails accessed from the back of the complex. A treasure!

This house is awesome. It's huge and priced very competitively. It did have issues, but they didn't bother us too much. If you're expecting perfection from a home this size, at this location at this price, you're not being reasonable. For our needs, it was PERFECT.

Jordans place was cozy, clean, comfortable. Clean linen beds were amazingly comfortable quiet are nice surroundings. We were here for my daughters graduation and no fault of our host we had to disturb him but he was there in less than 30 minutes to help our sleepy family. Thanks Jordan. The place smelled amazing, well kept and modern everything. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked with everything and not the cheap stuff but quality. Look if i ever need a place here or anyone i know i will highly recommend this beautiful place.

We stayed 3 nights at Stonewall Manor and it was perfect while we were visiting family in the area. We loved the serenity and openness of the property and enjoyed the horses as well. Our dog Alfred loved being able to run in the large front yard. Our host Tina was friendly and quick to respond from the booking process to checking out. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay in a short period of time. It was nice and peaceful. We really enjoyed the space. Everyone commented on how peaceful and homey it felt. Overall great experience. Violet communicates very well and is very responsive. If you are visiting RVA this is a great place to stay.

Our family stayed for a beautiful weekend we called a "tree-cation," and this cabin was a perfect spot! everything was exactly as described, and the beds and couches were so cozy. It was the perfect home to slow down and enjoy each other's company, and we enjoyed puzzling on the game table as much as our peaceful evenings on the back porch! Our kids loved the cocoa treats! Its close enough to Richmond to have everything we could need, and yet it felt private enough to feel like we were "getting away from it all." highly recommended!

This place was so cute and the owners were so nice! Our dog had a wonderful time rambling around their property and the bed was remarkably comfy.

We had an awesome time staying at the cottage, perfect location near tons of restaurants and shops with a quick drive to Richmond. We booked specifically for the dog friendly aspect and everything was better than described, LARGE fenced in yard with tons of space and outdoor community seating area with tables/chairs to enjoy the sounds of nature right outside. We loved sitting under the porch listening to the birds while our dog roamed the yard getting in all the smells. Cottage has comfy king bed with full fridge, easily controlled AC, microwave and any dishes/utensils that you would need. Owner was SUPER sweet and spoke with us on the way out asking to pet our pup and if she could have treats. We would recommend this cottage to those who have pets and still want to be able to explore the variety of dog friendly places around the Richmond area while also feeling at ease leaving them at the cottage while doing activities without your pet. We would stay here again!

We’ve stayed with Lynne on several occasions and it’s always been great. Through the years, updates have been made and we appreciate the care for the property. Very easy and accessible location. Beautiful and private backyard ♥️

Our stay here was great - we have never stayed in a tiny home before so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our experience at Hannah's place was wonderful. Even before we got there Hannah reached out to see if there was anything special we needed and she was available during our stay if any needs came up. The tiny home is well stocked with all the little things you might not even think of - general cooking supplies, coffee and creamer, toiletries, puzzles/games, markers and coloring books, even roasting sticks to use with the fire pit - and does not give the feeling of being small. You can tell a lot of time and attention was put into the place to make it as enjoyable and relaxing for guests as possible and I would say it was a job well done! On top of that it is very conveniently located in a smaller neighborhood that is also just a few minutes from food/shopping and the interstate. I would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we're in the Richmond area!
