Farmstay vacation rentals in Amarante

Lovely manor-type setting approx. 35 minutes from Porto. Lots of greenery, tasteful arrangement of houses where you have your privacy but also the benefit of other people (guests) around you. The house itself is compact but will comfortably fit 5-6 people (we were 5). Georgina was a great host and promptly helped us out with out requests. The pool is great especially for relaxing after a hot day. And one can eat outside on the inside porch next to the fountains, which was very relaxing. Highly recommended!

La maison d’Antonio est située en pleine campagne, exactement ce que nous recherchions pour nous reposer. La maison est confortable et spacieuse. La piscine est un sérieux plus, toute la famille a apprécié se baigner après les visites et activités dans la vallée du Douro ou à Porto. Antonio est très accueillant et arrangeant. Nous avons adoré découvrir cette jolie région du Portugal. Merci pour tout ;-)

Das Anwesen ist ein kleines Paradies. Es gibt alles was man braucht. Man kann am Pool entspannen oder sich auf dem Paddelplatz auspowern. Das Frühstück wird einem vor die Wohnung geliefert und ist großartig. Gerne wieder.

Susana's house is perfect for big groups! We were 21 and there was plenty of space left. The bedrooms are big with ensuite bathrooms. The living rooms are spacious and kitchen as all the conditions. It's a modern house.

Beautiful farm and house! Being able to wander the farm and pick fresh produce to cook was a highlight. If you’re looking to stay out in the country visiting Amarante, this is wonderful!

Foram dias de muita paz, ar puro e sorrisos, embalados pelo maravilhoso som da água sempre a correr na piscina. A casa está muito bem equipada, acolhedora e pensada para todas as idades. A Inês foi uma anfitriã exemplar, sempre disponível e atenciosa, e a Dona Doras merece também um agradecimento especial pela ajuda tão pronta e amável. Our stay at the Lemon Farm was nothing short of unforgettable. Nestled just outside Porto, this peaceful retreat offered the perfect mix of nature, comfort, and charm. The setting was serene and full of character—from the citrus trees to the rustic elegance of the property. But what truly made our visit special were the horses. Their calm presence and gentle nature added something truly meaningful to our experience. Whether we were watching them graze at sunset or simply being near them, they brought a sense of grounding and peace we didn’t expect but deeply appreciated.

Super séjour avec nos deux chiennes ! Le paysage est magnifique. La maison pleine d'histoires. La piscine est un vrai plus. Le voisinage est très amical. Il y a deux nombreuses balades à faire dans les environs et beaucoup avec des coin de baignade. On recommande a 100% !

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable chez Florbela et son mari José. Le lieu est privé et calme. La piscine est à notre entière disposition. Les hôtes sont chaleureux et ont mis plusieurs petites attentions à notre disposition. Nous avons même pu déguster de leur vin et porto. Chaque chambre possède son propre air climatisé de même que l’espace central. Un gros plus ! Nous recommandons cet hébergement!

La communication avec Paulo a été très fluide, nous avons reçu un très bel accueil, il a été très sympathique, nous a donné les bonnes adresses autour. La maison est fidèle aux photos et la vue est à couper le souffle. Tout l’équipement nécessaire est disponible, cafetière, casseroles, draps piscine, clim hyper agréable par cette période et chambres hyper grandes et agréable. Nous avons dîné deux fois dans leur restaurant juste en bas, je vous le recommande, c’était vraiment très bon! Rapport qualité / prix parfait! Nous y retournerons sans problèmes!

vous recherchez le calme et la tranquillité loin du brouhaha de la ville, alors cet endroit est parfait. Vous pourrez admirer un beau coucher de soleil avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée, faire des balades sympa de villages en villages dans la vallée du Douro. L'accueil était parfait et surtout chaleureux. Le feu avait été préparé dans le logement et des cadeaux de bienvenue nous attendaient (vin et préparations à base de myrtille). Un grand merci pour ces marques d'attention.

Great value! My family and I stayed here for five nights. While it wasn't ideal for our family with a toddler due to the many stairs, we still had a fantastic time. The place is incredibly quiet—perfect for a relaxing break! The pool area is a huge plus, with all sorts of toys that kept our kids entertained. They were never bored! We stayed in Casa Alambique, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. However, the downstairs bedroom has an old, small bed, so I'd recommend it only for kids or teens. The team was amazing! They offered lots of recommendations and the place was spotless. We had a small issue, and they took care of it immediately. Better than 5-star hotel service. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

Quinta espetacular. Todos os espaços eram cómodos, desde os quartos à sala e cozinha, como também o espaço de lazer fora de casa. Super arrumada, com vistas incríveis para as margens do Rio Douro. Boas áreas de convívio para se disfrutar com a família ou amigos. Anfitrião sempre prestável e em comunicação sobre alguma dúvida de restaurantes nos arredores. Quinta com direito a pão e a bolos fresquinhos logo pela manhã, pois a padeira vai à quinta entregar.

This was the most magical place for our family of five. I now want to come back and try all of Miguel’s other properties. A true highlight was taking advantage of the connections to local vendors that come with the hosts recommendations. Private dinner at the Pinta Lounge was amazing . I said to my husband at one point , “ I am so happy I could cry” - that sums up this cottage.

Reservei o espaço para uma despedida de solteiro. Posso afirmar que todas as 11 pessoas ficaram extremamente contentes com a casa, disponibilidade do sr. Marcos e restante equipa, limpeza, comodidades e principalmente a localização da casa. Era exatamente o que procurávamos, para o tipo de férias que queríamos fazer. Fomos sempre muito bem aconselhados, informados, bem recebidos, não nos faltou nada. Uma terra linda, com atividades e locais de visita obrigatórios. Uma boa relação preço-qualidade para quem procura um bonito refúgio da vida de cidade. Muito obrigado. Voltaremos.

Was een heel fijne, rustige en vooral mooie locatie. Weg van de drukte, maar toch niet ver als je iets nodig hebt. En Silvio was heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. Een heel goed verblijf gehad!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!
