Farmstay vacation rentals in Amarante

Lovely manor-type setting approx. 35 minutes from Porto. Lots of greenery, tasteful arrangement of houses where you have your privacy but also the benefit of other people (guests) around you. The house itself is compact but will comfortably fit 5-6 people (we were 5). Georgina was a great host and promptly helped us out with out requests. The pool is great especially for relaxing after a hot day. And one can eat outside on the inside porch next to the fountains, which was very relaxing. Highly recommended!

Antonio's house is located in the countryside, exactly what we were looking for to rest. The house is comfortable and spacious. The pool is a serious plus, the whole family enjoyed swimming after visits and activities in the Douro Valley or Porto. Antonio is very welcoming and accommodating. We loved discovering this pretty region of Portugal. Thank you for everything;-)

The property is a little paradise. There's everything you need. You can relax by the pool or work out at the paddle court. Breakfast is delivered to the apartment and is great. I'd love to come back.

It's been 3 days and with hosts like Mr. Carlos and D. Alice everything gets better. We love all the moments that were lived there and recommend this local accommodation to everyone at 100%. We hope to return soon

Susana's house is perfect for big groups! We were 21 and there was plenty of space left. The bedrooms are big with ensuite bathrooms. The living rooms are spacious and kitchen as all the conditions. It's a modern house.

This little farm is a true haven in the middle of nature! The outdoor space is simply magical — spacious, full of beautiful nooks and crannies and with animals that delighted the children from start to finish. They were days of great peace, fresh air and smiles, lulled by the wonderful sound of water always running in the pool. The house is very well-equipped, cozy and designed for all ages. Inês was an exemplary host, always available and attentive, and Dona Doras also deserves a special thank you for her prompt and kind help. We will treasure this experience with great affection! Our stay at the Lemon Farm was nothing short of unforgettable. Nestled just outside Porto, this peaceful retreat offered the perfect mix of nature, comfort, and charm. The setting was serene and full of character—from the citrus trees to the rustic elegance of the property. But what truly made our visit special were the horses. Their calm presence and gentle nature added something truly meaningful to our experience. Whether we were watching them graze at sunset or simply being near them, they brought a sense of grounding and peace we didn’t expect but deeply appreciated.

Great stay with our two dogs! The scenery is beautiful. The house full of stories. The swimming pool is a real plus. The neighborhood is very friendly. There are two many walks to do in the area and many with swimming nooks. We recommend 100%!

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Great value! My family and I stayed here for five nights. While it wasn't ideal for our family with a toddler due to the many stairs, we still had a fantastic time. The place is incredibly quiet—perfect for a relaxing break! The pool area is a huge plus, with all sorts of toys that kept our kids entertained. They were never bored! We stayed in Casa Alambique, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. However, the downstairs bedroom has an old, small bed, so I'd recommend it only for kids or teens. The team was amazing! They offered lots of recommendations and the place was spotless. We had a small issue, and they took care of it immediately. Better than 5-star hotel service. Highly recommend!

Spacious & clean with a great view + pool

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

Spectacular farm. All spaces were comfortable, from the bedrooms to the living room and kitchen, as well as the leisure space outside the house. Super tidy, with incredible views of the banks of the Douro River. Good living areas to enjoy with family or friends. Host always helpful and in communication about any questions about restaurants in the vicinity. Farm with the right to bread and fresh cakes in the morning, as the baker goes to the farm to deliver.

This was the most magical place for our family of five. I now want to come back and try all of Miguel’s other properties. A true highlight was taking advantage of the connections to local vendors that come with the hosts recommendations. Private dinner at the Pinta Lounge was amazing . I said to my husband at one point , “ I am so happy I could cry” - that sums up this cottage.

Amazing property and view. We had a terrific time. The property worked great for our group. Best sunset! Marco and his crew were extremely responsive. Driving in the Douro Valley is not for the faint of heart. We had a ball!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!
