San Biagio Suite in the Sassi

Located in the Sasso Barisano, the San Biagio Suite is completely carved out of the tuff rock and offers the unique and magical experience of sleeping in the Sassi of Matera. Small cottage with large private pool

The small cottage in the hill is a pleasant place and in perfect, harmonic tuning with the nature. The house features the great advantage to be warm in winter and cool in summer. It is a walk away from the town cente, the old town and shops; just 5 minutes away. The SITA bus stop for Bari is 150 ms away from the cottage. The pool is for the exclusive USE of guests. However, due to its size it is not possible to heat it. Therefore, it can be used from June 1st to September 30th.

Inside a popular hotel in the Sassi di Matera, this cave room is accessed from the common terrace through a large French door. It's an alcove entirely dug into the tuff. Extremely welcoming even just for the conformation, hollow and rounded it looks almost like a mother's womb. The bathroom, although small, has a bidet and a shower.
