Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Alnwick

Beautiful home which was more than adequate as our coastal base for a week of exploring. Gary was helpful with tips and advice in the build up to our stay and throughout when needed. we have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and there was excellent baby proofing through the entire property. Highly recommend for families wanting to be right on the coast. loads to explore in both directions.

We’ve just had a fantastic bank holiday weekend at Selby Cottage. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5. All the rooms were really clean and we were greeted with fresh flowers, biscuits and milk in the fridge (along with a bottle of wine) on arrival. The location is perfect for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding areas. We could easily walk to Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle. We also walked into Alnwick for our evening meals. We enjoyed a day in Bamburgh which is just a short drive away. Karen answered all our questions prior to arrival. We would thoroughly recommend this host. Rebecca and Ben (plus 3 children)

Fantastic stay at Ian’s place in Amble, amazing location for everything in Northumberland as well as plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in Amble. Super property for couple or families as well we’re with lots of games and children’s books as well as all the amenities you could need for a long or short stay. Would happily stay here again if we were holidaying in the north east of England again.

Immaculate property. Lovely big kitchen/ dining / living area, with an additional living room- well equipped with beautiful old books and lots of games. Gorgeous garden, very private, and amazing views. Extremely comfortable beds and lovely linen and towels. Very clean and tidy. Everything we wanted and more. We were a group of 8 ladies on a walking / yoga weekend- and we loved everything. We can’t wait to return.

Loved this place and would go back, we were very well looked after and the small touches were great like the chocolates and milk in the fridge. The BBQ area outside was great. It’s right next to a train line but it didn’t really bother us. Dogs are welcome and the only slight improvement would be to make the garden secure as dogs can get out onto the road so we had to keep them on leads. Even a temporary security would be most welcome as it makes for a more relaxing stay. Jenn

We had a wonderful few days staying at Church View. Lovely touches like the welcome basket for both humans and our dogs! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and enjoyed visiting Northumberland

Well positioned for NE coasts and the Scottish border region, plenty to do both locally and further afield. Accommodation was perfect layout and immaculate - super clean with everything you could need for your stay. Helpful and friendly hosts.

beautiful place, pristine throughout, everything you need, kitchen excellent, shower beautiful, gorgeous rooms. very comfortable. 15 minutes to coast, 30 mins to Cheviots with amazing hikes. A beautiful stay.

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

Loved our stay. Beautiful cottage. So homely and well equipped.

Sue greeted us at the lodge on atribal and is such a kind hearted person. When she opened the door to let us in, we were blown away at the sheer size of it!! The photos do not do it justice at all - the lodge is one of the biggest we have stayed in with walk in wardrobes in both rooms. An en-suite to the master and a bath in the bathroom!! The decking got sun from mid day through night and it was tucked away in a quiet spot with a grassy area outside - probably in the best spot on the site by far!!! We went with 3 children (1,6 and 11) and were so happy to see there is a cot/high chair/ baby bath/bouncer/toys/books and lots of games for all ages - we could have left half of our stuff at home. The lodge has everything from air fryer to everything you could imagine needing from home. Sue - you have a beautiful lodge and we were grateful for the stay! Any message was responded to quickly and we would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone!!! Thank you so much ☺️

Had a lovely stay at Tumbler Rocks. The house suited our group size and young children perfectly. It was very comfortable, clean and cosy with high chairs, stair gates and a cot. The location was great too with Seahouses a short distance on foot (and stunning views along the way!) There were great options of things to do further afield too!

A lovely property with plenty of space. The listing photos are great but the house is better than the photos provide. Great location for local food, drinks, walks etc.

We loved this cottage it had everything we needed and could not ask for more. Joanne was a brilliant host, and provided plenty of information prior to our visit. The cottage was spotless and very homely and we would love to return again. I would highly recommend this beautiful cottage and Joanne if you are thinking about staying in Seahouses. We hope to come back soon.

Great location. A really cosy country retreat. Very well appointed kitchen...equipped for real cooking! Very responsive hosts before & during our stay. Lots of helpful pre-visit information supplied, especially good places to eat like the Fish Shack at Amble & The Angler's Arms in Weldon - both dog and dog owner friendly!

This was our third visit to Karen’s ‘Hollyhocks’ which I think says it all. A Co-Op near by, Lidl easily walkable and close to the wonderful Barter books. The town is also an easy walk and my wife and I are well retired!!!!! Plenty of small independent shops to visit and numerous restaurants and pubs/bars. The Ale Gate a nice place to stop when retuning ‘home’. Many beaches and interesting places to visit within 30-45 minutes drive. Then there is Alnwick Castle……I could go on, thanks again Karen .

Suzy's flat is excellent, with imaginative and lovely decor , a great location and an attentive host who kept in contact before our trip and was on hand by text message to deal with any queries during the visit. The photos speak for themselves , the flat is a very special and ambient place , also very practical being so close to local amenities including the bus station , supermarket and pretty much everything else that you might need in this lovely town. The flat is at the top on a three story building so there are views down the main street if you want to keep an eye on what's going on! We highly recommend The Book Nook as a place to stay in you are visiting Alnwick.

Beautiful and peaceful place! Really well designed to give privacy. Loved the pod it was homely and really easy to manage the temperature. Although not much around the pods, it’s only a couple of minutes to the A1 so it was really handy for all the sight seeing we did whilst there. Also, we enjoyed walking around the pond and through the vine yard for a drink in the bar. Highly recommended this beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset in our hot tub and listening to the birds. Thank you!

A home from home. This stay was fantastic. Attention to detail was fabulous, stunning views and little gifts for the children, snack box, everything we needed was there. Quiet and relaxing. We hope to venture back in the future. Genevieve was also really responsive to any questions, very kind and helpful.

Really lovely little annex!! In a sweet little village, so easy to explore Northumberland!!

A quaint and well equipped shepherds hut in a beautiful, peaceful spot. The wood fired hot tub is recommended. The homemade scones, jam and juice on arrival were a lovely touch. Don’t hesitate to book. We’ll definitely come back.
