NB: LINEN, TOWELS & TOILETRIES NOT PROVIDED! Snug little mid-terrace property in a tiny village on Hadrian's Wall on the English side of the Solway Firth. Rather shabby but full of character & very cosy. Port Carlisle has a faded splendour - built on the site of a fishing village, for a brief time it was a major port serving Carlisle, with its own canal & later a railway; in the 1850s the Firth silted up so ships could no longer get in. Birdwatchers, walkers, fans of history, dogs will love it!

4 Bedrooms. Sleeps 12 without using the living room. Loved by holidaymakers and working groups. Close to excellent restaurants, take-aways, pubs and shops. Cockermouth's wonderful historic town trail starts less than 20 metres from the front door. Unlimited parking in the car parks behind and opposite 12 Kirkgate costs no more than £25 month (correct price March 2025). Unrestricted free parking is less than 10 minutes away.
