Farmstay vacation rentals in Alentejo

Wir waren zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Jugendlicher) für 10 Tage zu Gast bei Joana. Die Unterkunft liegt traumhaft ruhig und friedlich abseits von allem Trubel, noch schöner, als es die Bilder erahnen ließen. Toll ist, dass unser Sohn sein eigenes Reich bewohnen konnte- etwas abseits von unserem Appartment. Joana ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin, die uns mit praktischen und vor allem schönsten Ausflugs-Tipps und Restaurants etc. versorgte und jederzeit ansprechbar war. Wir haben einen Mix aus Ausflügen in verschiedene Städte (Lissabon, Setubal u.a. und Strandtagen gemacht und waren auch mal nur am Pool des Hauses. Wir danken Joana von Herzen (und ihrer Fsmilie) für die schöne Zeit und würden jederzeit wiederkommen, wenn es nicht so weit entfernt wäre….!

Cabaña entrañable para desconectar del bullicio de la ciudad. Cristina fue muy amable y nos recomendó varios sitios para visitar en Sintra, además de restaurantes para comer. Sin duda muy recomendable!

My husband and I recently stayed at the house as we were in Portugal for a wedding. As keen runners, we chose this spot as it was close to supermarkets and some really amazing restaurants, but also right by the park for exploring and some beautiful trails. It is a great base for running/hiking and not too far from the beach either. The house itself is very traditional and simple but that’s exactly why we chose it. It’s completely private, but close enough to walk for dinner (under an hour to several places in foot) or a short drive, so not a mission to pop out for anything. It has a cute garden and even deck chairs to enjoy the sun if you don’t want to lay on the grass. Pedro couldn’t be more helpful. From recommendations of trails, to being flexible with checking in/out he made everything about the booking a breeze and we’d love to return one day!

A Fady é uma anfitriã muito amável, simpática e atenciosa. As istalações são espaçosas e muito acolhedoras, com todos os itens necessários. A cozinha ao ar livre permite bons momentos de convívio à mesa, em contacto com a natureza num local muito calmo e agradável. Tive pena de não ter ficado mais tempo e se for possível, gostaria de regressar. Recomendo muito!

Das Haus und das Anwesen sind einfach ein Traum. Der Pool. Die Terrasse. Der Sonnenuntergang. Das gute Olivenöl. Castello de Vide. Für uns stimmt hier einfach alles. Und alles ist genau so wundervoll wie auf den Bildern. Wir kommen wieder! Danke liebe Susannne ///

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit im Vale da Palha! Die Unterkunft war sehr schön gelegen – mitten im Grünen – und es gab unglaublich viel Platz im Garten zum Entspannen und Verweilen. Ein absolutes Highlight! Unsere eigene Terrasse lag den ganzen Tag in der Sonne, perfekt zum Frühstücken, Lesen oder einfach zum Genießen der Ruhe. Die Unterkunft war perfekt ausgestattet, es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt – alles, was wir gebraucht haben, war da. Die Lage ist ruhig und man braucht für die Umgebung ein Auto, aber man kann sich auch wunderbar die Zeit im riesigen Garten von Xander vertreiben. Ein weiteres Highlight waren die fünf Hühner, die uns regelmäßig besucht haben – genauso wie die freundlichen Katzen und Hunde auf dem Grundstück. Wir denken gerne an diese schöne Zeit zurück und können einen Aufenthalt hier nur wärmstens empfehlen! ☀️🐓

Tudo impecável. Ambiente tranquilo, paisagem lindíssima e o espaço em si é muito agradável. Eu e a minha companheira ficámos na casa borboleta e estava tudo um brinco, para além de termos tudo o que podemos necessitar dentro de uma casa. Este foi o espaço ideal para passarmos uns dias fora do caos que é característico da zona de Lisboa onde vivemos. A única coisa que possamos apontar de menos bom (para algumas pessoas) é as redondezas que, apesar de muito bonitas, são algo monótonas, sobretudo se não tivéssemos carro próprio. Não era o caso, por isso conseguimos aproveitar muito bem aquela zona. Recomendo vivamente.

This beautifully updated traditional stone house exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way! It is quaint but with everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including good heat (which we used due to the chilly weather). We gave all 5s except one 4 because the house is right next to the road. The 18" thick walls in the house keep the noise to a minimum and the road is not busy at all, so no big deal. The host prepared a super-helpful booklet of nearby sights and restaurants that we referred to regularly (in both Portuguese and English). We can't recommend this place highly enough!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful countryside home. The house is incredibly cozy and peaceful—perfect for unwinding and spending quality family time. Everything was spotless, and the little farm with chickens was a big hit with our son. He loved watching them, and it added a special charm to our stay. Juliana and Axel were fantastic hosts—so warm, welcoming, and attentive. They really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. We especially appreciated the fresh eggs and orange juice waiting for us when we arrived—such a thoughtful touch! We wholeheartedly recommend this place to small families or couples looking for a quiet and authentic escape. We’d love to come back someday!

Monsaraz is such a charming hilltop village in the Alentejo region! Jose Luis' accommodations is in the heart of the village, on the main street and just below the castle! The accommodations are very spacious, with the living, dining and kitchen areas feeling very homey! The views of the castle and the valley below from the rear terrace are amazing! This is also a haven for cat lovers, as we had several feline friends hang out on the terrace! Just be mindful of not letting them inside! This is truly the best accommodations in Monsaraz!

My friends and I had an incredible few days at the Farm House- surrounded by lemon tree’s and vines the house is private, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous secluded pool all which was even better in person than in the photos! The host was friendly and responsive before and throughout our stay and provided helpful recommendations for surrounding vineyards and shops. We would definitely come again!

Marcia’s farm stay was charming and delightful. It was quiet and very peaceful with beautiful surroundings and chickens. The place was extraordinarily clean and beautiful. Márcia and her husband were extremely friendly and welcoming. Marcia made us lovely fresh eggs for breakfast each morning and booked restaurant reservations at excellent places. We highly recommend this delightful place!

Esta casa é uma verdadeira jóia, experiência impecável, desde a natureza exuberante até a qualidade do azeite oferecido aos hóspedes. E como se não bastasse ainda nos ofereceram alguns itens essenciais para o café da manhã além de um pão delicioso que chega de manhã durante a estadia.A Mariana foi muito gentil e nos ajudou com tudo que foi solicitado. Eu e meu namorado amamos tudo e queremos retornar muitas e muitas vezes.

What a peaceful and lovely place. I was greeted by the hosts upon arrival and got a tour of the property, including meeting the friendly animals. Then I got to take a fresh salad right from the garden! In the morning, there were sheep accompanying me up the driveway, and the night skies were great for stargazing. If you’re looking to get away from it all with formidable hosts, kill no further.

A truly peaceful and special place. The home is beautifully maintained, tranquil, and in a perfect location—close to the city but quiet enough to fully relax. I’ve never shaken off jet lag so quickly. The hosts were kind, communicative, and made everything easy. The friendly cats roaming the property added a warm, homey touch. Part of me wants to keep this gem a secret, but it deserves to be shared. Highly recommended

Ein ganz besonderes Airbnb für Natur & Vogelfreunde. Super herzliche Gastgeber. Reitmöglichkeit in der Nähe. Wunderschöne Sandstrände mit dem Auto ca. 15min entfernt. Supermarkt & Restaurants in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

One of my favourite AirBnBs I've stayed in!! Joao was extremely responsive and helpful, the house is even better than depicted, everything was perfectly clean and brilliant for a big group. the bathrooms and bedrooms especially all felt clean and modern, and the pool was just lovely. great to have privacy yet be so close to the city center! I honsetly couldn't reccomend this place more 🙏 Thank you for a lovely stay!

Passamos uns dias maravilhosos! A Maria (e a sua familia) foram muito simpaticos e acolhedores. Conseguimos desligar da correria da cidade e recarregar baterias. Recomendo e esperamos voltar um dia.

Ich kann die Unterkunft nur wärmstens Empfehlen. Wir waren vier nächte bei Ruben. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer schönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Mit dem Auto braucht man ca. 50 Minuten nach Lissabon. Andere Ausflugsziele wie Sintra sind auch sehr gut zu erreichen. Der Bauernhof mit dem Pool ist wirklich toll und ein Besuch Wert! Für Kinder mit Familien auch sehr geeignet. Es gibt zwei Hof Hunde und zwei Katzen in die man sich nur verlieben kann 😍 Ruben und seine Frau waren sehr herzlich und haben uns noch viele Tips für unsere Reise gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

An idyllic place to spend a week with close friends. The house was made for both relaxing in gorgeous spaces and easy exploration of the area. Meal prep for a large crowd was a breeze in the well equipped kitchen. There is a great market close by and there are several restaurants within a short distance from the house. João was an incredible host, checking in a few times to make sure we were comfortable and well supplied. We felt fortunate to have landed in such a wonderful place. Thank you João!

Our group had the most amazing time staying at Andreia's place and we'll definitely book again if we can!

Stayed for 7 nights and the villa was exceptional in everyway. Private and accommodation was top quality with a beautiful heated pool. Car is essential. Host was very helpful.
