This 2 BR/2 BA unit has a sleeper sofa, so it can sleep six in a pinch, though the sofa would be best for 1 adult or 2 kids. It is in downtown State Center, 20 minutes W of Marshalltown, 25 mins E of Ames/ISU and 45 mins from Des Moines. Located on a beautiful homestead in the 'Bohemie Alps.' Walk up the hill to our 24' yurt, set with beautiful views overlooking the farm and Iowa countryside. Furnished with 2 full/queen beds, pull out couch, clean linens and towels. Set up with electricity and temp control. A true glamping experience in the heartland. With breathtaking country views out every window you are sure to find this country retreat relaxing and enjoyable with many things to do close by like fishing, hiking, and a bike trail. Cute little towns to explore or cuddle up with a book & enjoy relaxation that comes with a deep breath in the country. Come as a family, some couples, or a little getaway, this home sleeps 7.

Cabin Cove By the River

Take a step back in time when you enter our little log cabin by the river. Built in 1949, this cabin is a replica of the log cabins built by the gold seekers of Alaska. Though modern in most aspects we have retained the native charm of unfinished wood, rough, hand-hewn logs and naked beams. The inspiration for the cabin was found by my great grandfather who spent time in Alaska working on the Alcan highway.

The Ranch House - Entire Lodge at the Wolfe Ranch

Peaceful stay on an active working ranch near Marshalltown. Guests reserve the entire Lodge living space (kitchen, dining, fireplace, coffee bar). Please note: staff maintain office space within the Lodge and are present in designated areas during business hours (M-Th & Sat 11–3). The Lodge also houses our Cat Lounge in a separate area. Ranch activity and animals are part of the experience.
