Fjellgla treetop cabin

Here you have the opportunity to spend the night in the top of the trees and enjoy the tranquility and wildlife of the forest. Here you can meet birds and squirrels, and there are good opportunities to spot deer and elk. In the summer months, there are alpacas grazing around the treetop cabin. The cabin is 30 sqm with a bedroom with double bed and two double beds on the loft. It has electricity, hot and cold water, bathroom with toilet and kitchen (Note! No shower). There is a terrace around the entire treetop cabin. There is a fire pit in the outdoor area by the cabin.

Behind the house (20 metres) you'll find the river Hallingdalselva, where you can fish for trouts. You may borrow a canoe or a small rowing boat. Cozy student courtyard on farm. The house was built in 1905 and has interiors from the turn of the century to about 1970. Large, light and airy bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Kitchen and living room with wood stove and fireplace on the 1st floor. The house is close to Hallingdalselva with great swimming and fishing opportunities. You may borrow a rowboat or canoes. Fjellsyn is located 1110 m above sea level and is a beautiful log cabin/granary on Haugastøl, with a stunning panorama view overlooking Ustevann and Hardangervidda National Park. Hallingskarvet is seen to the North. Here the sun is from early morning to late evening. The cabin has Rallarvegen and magical Hardangervidda as the closest neighbor. There is a short distance to Geilo and Ustaoset in the east, and Hardanger in the west. The cabin has nature right outside the door, and you can use the countless trails and tracks in the area

High and low climbing park is only 300m away, and about 500m away is Strandafjorden swimming area! Ål ski center is 8 km away and Geilo only 23 km. Hemsedal ski resort is 56 km from the cabin. Hardangervidda about 35 km. In the surrounding mountains you can pick and choose from fantastic ski slopes in winter and hiking trails in summer! The activity opportunities are just as good in winter as in summer!

Our cabin was renovated and extended in the fall of 2022, and we can warmly welcome you and your travel companions! The cabin contains three bedrooms with double beds in addition to a loft/living room with a double sofa bed. Large bathroom with washing machine/dryer and well equipped kitchen. In the attic living room there is a TV that is connected to broadband, so you can stream what you want to see. Large porch with outdoor furniture and fire pit. Possibility to charge an electric car.

The house is located at the end of a farmyard, with great views, an outdoor area and proximity to nature.

Located at 930 meters above sea level, the ski conditions are guaranteed in winter, but there are also plenty of activities and swimming opportunities in summer. Well suited for families with children of all ages. Winter road up to the cabin, and ski in ski out (cross-country skiing).
