Woodpecker Cottage (Dog Friendly)

LianeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Peter and Hilary were very friendly and approachable with good local knowledge. Woodpecker cottage was beautiful it was spotless and had everything we could possibly have wanted, the welcome pack was perfect and much appreciated as we had traveled so far. The village was lovely and quiet, well situated to visit the Lake District and the Pennines. The village pub was a two minute walk and served good food, the local shop was a five minute drive away and was well stocked. On Hilary’s recommendation we tried the bakery in a nearby village it was fantastic. Thank you Peter and Hilary for a fabulous stay in a wonderful cottage.

Klaina Cottage, Nth Pennines ,Golf, Walking & Pub

Really lovely stay and we were made to feel very welcome not only from Lilia, but also from the locals, especially at the local pub! We were visiting for a friend’s wedding in Hayton and one of the locals offered to take us there the following day. The cottage was lovely and Lilia was an amazing host. Thank you!

Herdy Lodge - Cosy Family Getaway

ReenazRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you are looking for a place for rejuvenation and away from hustle and bustle of life, then book this place without a second thought.. this property completely exceeded our expectations from start to finish..!! Where do I even start.. place is spacious, surrounded by beautiful views.. hosts are very friendly.. we had come to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and they had set up a nice decoration for her.. so thoughtful of them.. we absolutely loved every minute of the stay there.. wish could stay longer.. little one had the best birthday experience watching so many animals around.. really looking forward to come back.. just s little advice would be to carry groceries and other stuff if possible as the nearest superstore is nearly 4 miles away and that too isn’t very well stocked.. you do get basic stuff though.. this was the only issue we faced..

Delightful 1 bedroom studio in Armathwaite

SueRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A perfect place from which to visit Appleby Horse Fair. Easy walk to the station and only 28 minutes down the line from Appleby. The Teahouse is snug and has everything one woman and her dog could need. The covered decking area is perfect for sitting out even in the rain, and the views across the valley are superb. Carol and Tony were friendly and welcoming and the garden with it's bonsai trees is a delight. The home-made cake was delicious and leaving breakfast for guests is very thoughtful. Thanks for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend.

Helen's place was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. The location was ideally situated close to the A road into The Lakes, and a short walk into the centre of Penrith for restaurants and shops.

Ghyllie Cottage

Paul's place was lovely, cosy on cold days and cool on hot ones. Little front yard with seating to enjoy the afternoon sunshine. Set in a lovely picturesque village with great eateries within walking distance. Great location for getting to Carlisle and also the surrounding countryside.
