Vacation rentals with lake access in York County

This is our THIRD stay at Sarah’s! We love it so much we are turning it into an annual thing! We never have more than 6 adults as we love having the extra space to move about and privacy. As for the home, it’s truly so peaceful and serene! We love being able to just relax and get out on the water on our paddle boards. This time we even ventured out to a restaurant in nearby Cornish (Krista’s) that was Fabulous! We truly love it here and are looking forward to booking again! Thank you so much Sarah for always making our stay an incredible experience!

Every year we pick a place on the lake between Mother's and Father's day to celebrate over a weekend. We love to kayak and visit the local eateries while relaxing in nature. This year we were fortunate enough to find Katherine's home in Acton, ME for Memorial Day weekend. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, and homey (and right on the lake)! Katherine and Nick were both very responsive and friendly with check-in check-out and we loved the places listed on their travel guide. The house is a short hour drive from Kennebunkport and Portland so we took some day trips during the rainy days and floated around the peaceful inlet of Mousam Lake when sunny. Leaving the inlet takes you to the rest of Mousam Lake where we saw motor boats, jet skis and one person wake boarding! Our old dog, Shaggy, had a blast and the long road leading to the property gave him the ability to run around without bothering any neighbors, who were all very friendly! Definitely worth a return visit!

We LOVED our weekend on Arrowhead Lake! Great house for families. We have three teenagers and loved having separate spaces for everyone, as well as places we could all gather together, inside or out! There was something for everyone! Perfectly set up for those who love to cook, fish, kayak, walk or just read a book outside! Nearby we enjoyed the farm stands, our first attempt at disc golf, my son's first catch of a small mouth bass and shopping at the Limerick Grocery Store (very well stocked!). We hope to return again soon!! Elizabeth was a wonderful and attentive host!

My family was looking for a place this year to just get away, and Michael’s place was the perfect spot to do so. Close enough to the ocean and Portland, but far enough away to for some much needed R& R. Michael is an excellent host, and is very responsive to all messages. Thanks for everything!

I loved staying here! Felt like we were at home and not just a rental unit. This is one of the most well-equipped airbnbs I’ve stayed in. The kitchen, bathrooms, and lake front had everything we needed for our stay.

Beautiful place in great location. Did a weekend trip that included Portland based activities and a lake day at Lake Sebago. This was right in between making both super easy! The house was beautiful, clean, and slept everyone very comfortably. The view on the water is amazing, and Timissa was very responsive, accommodating, and kind!

Fantastic spot. We stayed in the fall. It was quiet on the lake. We enjoyed SUPing and Kayaking. Was happy to find “one earth” natural grocer up the road a bit. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove every night. The Loons were a special treat too. It is steep and lots of stairs to the water but worth the climb. :) Lea was so accommodating and responded immediately to every inquiry. Hoping to book again next fall!

This place had everything I needed for a perfect stay. The bed was cozy, and every detail was so thoughtfully arranged—it felt like everything was exactly where I needed it. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure I was comfortable. Plus, the location is fantastic, offering easy access to both Portland and New Hampshire. I had a wonderful stay and would love to return!

Charming older home in a beautiful, friendly and quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views. Plenty of space, the loft area was a big hit for the kids. Both the upper deck and grassy area in front of the dock provided perfect outdoor dining. Spacious master bedroom and bathrooms. Open concept living area with plenty of seating. The kayaks and canoe were an added bonus. Great swimming and fishing right from the dock. Lots of amenities provided a stress free stay. Neighbors are very friendly. Host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend this place!

Before booking, I had a few questions that Dennis answered immediately. He was a very friendly attentive host & a pleasure to communicate with. The house was neat & clean and so much to keep everyone occupied inside & out. Everyone loved the arcade games & the pool table on the inside. The outside was like a piece of heaven. Nice large backyard leading down to a sandy beach with a dock, a fire pit & a peaceful setting. There were kayaks to explore the lake in, which everyone enjoyed. The only negative comment is it’s hard to leave…lol. Thank you Dennis for your great hospitality. We will be renting again!!!

Thank you Valerie for a great stay. Made us feel right at home and was very communicative with helpful direction. Visited friends in the area, and Valerie's place was a perfect peaceful location to be close to our friends as well as amenities. Lovely town.

Was a great place, not often that you get host that personally greet you on check and give you gifts and make homemade stuff for you. Best hosts yet.

My airbnb stay at Keri-Ann’s was wonderful from start to finish. Communication prior and during the stay were great! The unit was super cute and decorated really tastefully, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Unit was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Keri-Ann went out of her way to make sure I had an easy and lovey check in, even going out of her way to provide gluten free snacks and fruit, and provided great info about the concert venue I was attending during my stay. She and Blaine were fun to talk to in the evening around the fire. Everything about this rental experience was top notch! Great rental experience!

Convenient to Portland Maine, Concord NH, and Vermont; all places that we visited. The apartment was suitable for the price. Grocery store close by.

My husband and I spent 6 days here for our anniversary. I wanted a location on the water and close to visit all the major coastal towns in Maine. This was perfect! The home, felt like home, and everything was clean and beautiful. Adam was very helpful whenever I had any questions. Sipping coffee every morning on the back porch and watching the sunrise over the lake was so peaceful. Grocery store close by and great hiking/walking areas right out the front door. Can’t wait to come back and bring the family.

A great spot tucked away!! House was cute and as shown in the pictures, is right on the water and has some great views! It rained the majority of the time we were there so didn’t get to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities, but would have if better weather! Host was very friendly, communicative and responsive!

This Airbnb is an absolute hidden gem! It is a peaceful spot surrounded by nature in an convenient location. Inside, it's cozy and feels just like home. It’s very clean, the bed is extremely comfortable, and it’s very quiet. The spacious outdoor area is a dream, offering so many spots to sit with loved ones right by the water, from the fire pit to the dock and deck. The photos don't even begin to capture its beauty. We made lifelong memories in the backyard. The surrounding towns are packed with natural beauty and history, there is so much to do and so many lobster rolls to be eaten (I probably gained a few pounds exploring all the delicious food in Portsmouth). Andrew was an incredibly responsive and helpful host, full of good recs and making the whole experience seamless. The check out process was especially easy compared to some of my recent Airbnb’s, it was really nice being able to check out of an without having to do a laundry list of chores first 😅

Dianne’s place was just right for my small family of three! The place was clean and well kept and had all the amenities one could need and even more than we expected. There was some construction going on at the house next door, which was a bit disappointing, but just a reminder that the house is in a community and not to expect complete silence at all times. Dianne was very responsive and kind, and all in all we had a very lovely time.

Lori was a wonderful host for our trip up to Maine. My girlfriend and I enjoyed doing yoga in the entrance room when it rained and a nice sunrise kayak trip out on the lake across the street. My in-laws stayed with us too and we all had great laughs together and enjoyed good food all weekend long.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Debbie’s cabin. The interior is tidy, simply furnished and decorated with Debbie’s nice paintings. The heater worked well, but it was a little noisy. Luckily we didn’t need it through the night, so we were able to enjoy the peace and calm of the quiet lakeside location. Nothing like waking up to the view of that pristine lake. Some mornings it was so still it reflected the trees. We loved that. Water pressure was a little touch and go, but overall not a problem.

We came here to visit the southern part of Maine. Clearly this location is one of the best airbnb we’ve been at. House is lovely and is even better in reality than on the pictures. Everything was super clean and tidy with all you would ever need for your stay. We came here with our 3 kids and they had a lovely time thanks to all the toys, books and board games at disposal. Place is quiet and very nice during fall season so great for a peaceful time away from the city. Didn’t get the chance the practice the canoe by lack of time but it was very tempting. We will be definitely be back!

The Loon's Nest exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake. It is well appointed inside and out so that you have everything you need for an amazing lakefront getaway.
