Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ydre Municipality

We visited in end of May. The area was very peaceful, open green surroundings, and farm nearby. The host was very responsive and friendly. We also received extra duvet, pillows, etc. on request. The house and surroundings are nicer than the pictures. It is worth spending sometimes to enjoy peaceful countryside.

Nice place by Lake Sommen. Large spacious house where we accommodated 8 people for a fishing weekend. Great neighbors who made our stay even better.

What a great place. The house is beautiful, peaceful and private. It's even bigger than we thought. The garden is amazing and all you hear are bird sounds and the wind in the trees. We would gladly come back.

We had a most wonderful stay at Rönnäsgården from start to finish. Magnus is the best AirBnB host I’ve ever had hands down. The home is spectacular: the setting, the grounds, and the interior. It’s remote but also surrounded by many summer homes and some attractive villages and towns. It was our first visit to Sweden and we loved everything. And it’s true: nearly everyone speaks English and it’s a cashless economy. Excellent roads as well. Highest recommendation with no hesitation.

We spent a fantastic vacation in Franck's house as a family of four. The house is beautiful with lots of charm and very well appointed. We lacked nothing and we felt very much at home. The beds are wonderfully cozy and overall everything very clean. The garden with the creek was a big adventure for our children and they could spend hours there. The surroundings are very picturesque and quiet. We were able to take nice trips to the Astrid Lindgren places with our children, hike in Norra Kvill National Park, visited the old town of Eksjö and the moose park and enjoyed the great views in Askeryd's quarry. There is so much to discover, we would have liked to have stayed longer. Many thanks to Franck for the friendly and uncomplicated communication and the loving care on site by neighbor Gertrud.

We were allowed to spend a week in this absolute paradise. The house is secluded directly on the lake. We were greeted with handmade and local treats by Ann Cathrine. We were swimming in the lake every day (already waking up in the morning) and traveling by boat. Ann Cathrine gave us many tips and was always quickly available. A highlight was the sauna on the other side of the lake, which can be rented. The house is lovingly decorated and stocked with everything you might need. The kids found the extra room at the top of the tower. The four of us missed a dishwasher😂🙈. In the master bedroom, only the large window can be darkened, so it is relatively bright in the morning. The garden is full of magnificent seating areas, from the terrace you have a fantastic view of the lake and can see breathtaking sunsets. We say thank you for an incredible week.

Upon arrival, we received a warm and familiar welcome, which immediately gave us a good feeling. The hosts were extremely friendly and supported us with many helpful recommendations about the area, which enriched our stay. The cottage itself exudes a cozy, rustic atmosphere and is easily accessible. The quiet location in the middle of the forest offers a wonderful opportunity to relax and is perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We were particularly enthusiastic about the short walk to the nearby lake with a beautiful swimming spot. The surrounding area also offers a variety of outdoor activities, so there is something for everyone.

We had a very nice week in Bart's Villa Kunterbunt. Our 2-year-old son loved the garden and the play area in the attic with play kitchen and wooden train. The house is small but well suited for 3 people. There was a baby travel bed for our son, as he was still too small to sleep in the alcove. Bart was very kind and helpful, phoned us before arrival and explained everything to us. The house is a bit lonely, there are only a few neighboring houses. Nearby there is a lake with a beautiful swimming area, it is 15 minutes to Eksjö and an elk park, and about 50 minutes to Vinmerby, Katthult and Bullerbyn. We will be happy to come back!

Had a super nice stay. There is a large BBQ available that worked really well and a jetty with boats. The owner has tips for fish. Especially pike is easy to catch! Ver stay is very spacious and the bed was very nice. Beautiful location, even more beautiful than in the photos!

Good accommodation for a visit to ALV. Clean and as described. Easy to communicate with the host.

We had a fabulous stay with Patrik! Sadly we only had the late afternoon until the next morning, since we were just driving through but we would definitely stay again! Patrik has a dog himself and my pup had a friend while we stayed there! The little house has everything you need and if there is anything you need to ask, Patrik and his family are right next door! Thank you Patrik for the very nice welcome and I hope to come visit again 😊

We really enjoyed staying at this place. Johan and Jenny were very clear about the instructions and were very welcoming. The house was very clean and perfect for our family of 3. They have a large garden and games both indoor and outdoor. My toddler was very happy to get all the color pencils and books to read :)

Very nice house. We rented the ground floor so the only negative was that it was a little sensitive to the neighbors above but otherwise a very cozy place

Great service and nice host!

We felt very comfortable. The apartment is very spacious and you can easily stay there for a few days. Kalle welcomed us in a very friendly manner and helped us perfectly with all questions.

The apartment is super convenient for a small family and Jennie was so sweet to put things out for our kids. We had an easy way to find everything and the check-in worked smoothly. The apartment is nicely located and it was easy to go for a walk in Vimmerby from there or to Astrid Lindgreens World.

It was a nice vacation and communication with the landlord went smoothly.
