Welcome to our oasis of tranquility. Being located on a historical and green location in the Achterhoek, you can fully enjoy the nature. Centuries ago, a castle called ‘Huis Ulft’ was located on the premises. It used to belong to the sister of one of the Netherlands most important historical figures. Nowadays, the location still resembles a fairytale’s beauty. The cottage is comfortably equipped with facilities as a large private terrace, multiple unique bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Around Winterswijk, nature sometimes seems to have stood still. In the farm "Pasman" (1340 first mentioned as Bovekinck) formerly part of Kasteel het Waliën, we have created a vacation home. Using old elements and applications of recycled materials in a modern jacket but with the comfort of today.

Guesthouse de Grenspeddelaar

Right across the border from Woold-Barlo is the Grenspeddelaar. In front of it is a shop and gas station, which is where it all started. Meanwhile, the gas station is unmanned and the former shop has been converted into a charming and comfortable guest house. The Grenspeddelaar is located in a special place: there is sometimes commotion, but there are also grazing cows across the road. Every guest, holidaymaker or passerby is welcome!

On the grounds of the vacation home is a semi-open shed with terrace, so you can enjoy the outdoors in all seasons. Here it is still dark enough to see stars at night. Ideal starting point for walks and bike rides. The cozy Winterswijk is 6 km away.

Enjoy the tranquility of our stylish B&B. Within a few minutes, you are in the heart of downtown Enschede. Ideal for exploring the city and surrounding area on foot or by bike. A garage is available to safely store any (electric) bicycles. Optionally, a breakfast basket can be ordered (€25 euros), which we then prepare for you to prepare and use at a time of your choice. Towels/kitchen towels are provided.
