The bedroom now has a box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm / 5' 11" x 6' 6¾") and a children's travel cot can also be set up if needed. On our listed 300 year old farm we offer: two separate apartments for each 4 persons, with kitchen-living room, bathroom and bedroom with two floors each and about 50 square meters each. We are situated in the Südeichsfeld, a plush hilly low mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, a visit to the bear park Worbis or excursions to nearby half-timbered cities are popular excursion destinations.

Stylish historic half-timbered courtyard, combined with modern interior design and the latest technology. Hiking riders are welcome. The landscape invites you to hike (Kaufunger Forest, Münden Nature Park), cycle, but also to visit Kassel or Göttingen (e.g. World Heritage Site Kassel Bergpark). Both cities can be reached in a 30-minute drive. Bikers are also welcome. There is ample space for horses or motorcycles/bicycles.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
