Luxury Cotswold cottage at New Yatt Farm

This cosy cottage was converted from an old dairy at New Yatt Farm. Situated a short distance down an unmade track. It is the perfect place from which to explore the rolling Cotswold countryside whilst still being close to the market towns of Witney, Woodstock and the City of Oxford. The cottage has underfloor heating on the ground floor, a log burner, a sumptuous Wesley-Barrell sofa, comfy Hypnos mattress and bed, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and White Company towels and toiletries.

Close to an area of outstanding natural beauty that is West Oxfordshire. A pretty and easy space to relax or use as a base to explore on foot, cycle or beyond, by rail. On the edge of the Cotswolds in one direction and not too far for shopping in the other, you could consider your options while walking across the countryside for a meal in one of the nearby villages. We don’t have a shop or pub here, but a twenty minute walk or five minute drive will get your essentials we haven’t thought of.

Close transport links and the A40 is on the doorstep to explore Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds

Akeman cottage is located on a peaceful historic 430 acre farm which now houses stables. Walks around the farmland are welcome. The kitchen, dining & living area are open plan, French doors lead to a private garden. The cottage has two bedrooms one double & one twin. The twin room is on the second floor. Both the double room and bathroom (bath only) are on the ground floor. Parking is directly outside. The highly rated Bird in Hand country pub is a short walk away.

Self-contained for convenience with en-suite shower room, open living/kitchen area, and log burner for cosy winter months. Guests have private parking allocated opposite the house. The Old Corner Cottage is the perfect cosy hideaway to return to after a day of sightseeing and exploring the wonderful Cotswolds. Being period it has all the lovely features you would expect from a cottage of this age including a lovely inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove and exposed ceiling beams in the sitting room and dining room. When you are in the cottage you could be anywhere as it is so peaceful.
