The Walkers rest

Close to an area of outstanding natural beauty that is West Oxfordshire. A pretty and easy space to relax or use as a base to explore on foot, cycle or beyond, by rail. On the edge of the Cotswolds in one direction and not too far for shopping in the other, you could consider your options while walking across the countryside for a meal in one of the nearby villages. We don’t have a shop or pub here, but a twenty minute walk or five minute drive will get your essentials we haven’t thought of.

It is the perfect place from which to explore the rolling Cotswold countryside whilst still being close to the market towns of Witney, Woodstock and the City of Oxford. The cottage has underfloor heating , a log burner, and 2 cosy sofas. Bedrooms have Hypnos mattresses, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and White Company toiletries. Akeman cottage is located on a peaceful historic 430 acre farm which now houses stables. Walks around the farmland are welcome. The kitchen, dining & living area are open plan, French doors lead to a private garden. The cottage has two bedrooms one double & one twin. The twin room is on the second floor. Both the double room and bathroom (bath only) are on the ground floor. Parking is directly outside. The highly rated Bird in Hand country pub is a short walk away.

A lovely, well-appointed guest suite in the garden of our main home at the Oval. Perfect for short stays, this annex provides privacy while remaining part of our property. Self-contained for convenience with en-suite shower room, open living/kitchen area, and log burner for cosy winter months. Guests have private parking allocated opposite the house. Please note: This annex is part of our main residence and is available for short-term lets on an ad hoc basis

When you are in the cottage you could be anywhere as it is so peaceful.
