We had a great time at this lovely secluded home. The living area was really spacious and the kitchen was amazing and well equipped for cooking and serving a diverse range of meals - an entertainers delight. We will certainly look to rebooking in the future. Dawn even found a little bunny that one of the girls left behind and kindly got it safely home.

Absolutely loved our stay at Andrew’s, it was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful native bush, meaning the bird life was bountiful. The house was everything we needed, the fireplaces made us feel at home and cozy. Communication was great, and Catherine was super helpful and always available for questions. We’ll be back for sure!!

Great location, easy walk into town, best view from the patio. Beds were very comfortable and house has extra amenities. Host was very responsive and helpful when we ran into a hiccup during our stay. Our only regret was not having more days to stay.

The house was well-kept and cozy; it had everything we needed to have a great stay. The fire kept the place perfectly warm, and the extra heaters were great inside the rooms. With fresh and comfy bedding and hot water running on gas, there were no worries about everyone getting in a warm shower. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials: even spices, which meant we could make some great mulled wine. All of the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, with towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Perfectly located on a quiet street, just a short walk away from the local restaurants and Four Square. The ideal location for doing any of the wonderful hikes in the Tongariro National Park. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay, and would happily come back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jodie’s place for a special family reunion. It fit all 11 of us easily and didn’t feel cramped. It was tidy and clean, and when we accidentally locked ourselves out at one point we were able to call and get back in within minutes! We all talked about coming back one day, as we enjoyed the space so much. Thanks Jodie.

Great home for families with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The living space was very comfortable, and the addition of a range of family boardgames was great. The home is set in a quiet tranquil area overlooking forest/bush which provided lovely walks. Easy 10mins walk to Carrotland which is an an awesome adventure playground and activity area with pump track, bike tracks, playground etc. Our 7yr old loved it. We had some issues with running water when we arrived but Charlotte was super responsive and helpful and it was all resolved within an hour...and Charlotte provided a wee gift basket (nibbles and wine) in acknowledgement of our being slightly put out. Charlotte was very thoughtful and responsive in managing the whole issue. We will absolutely stay again. It was a lovely comfortable home.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Clint was a great and helpful host. We used this place as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing hike. A quick 20 minute drive to the car shuttle parking lot for the hike. Clint also suggested some nice beaches nearby. It was great to have the whole house to ourselves.

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

Great family week in Whanganui. Our place was amazing, comfortable, great vibe, relaxing, loved the pool and deck with outdoor bath. Wished we could stay longer. Ken and Jess so helpful and responsive, very friendly. Would love to stay there again.

A great spot. Walking distance to the beautiful lake and gardens. The place was very tidy with beautiful decor, comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom. Private with a seperate entrance except just one bathroom. Also no running water in the kitchen which I assume is work in progress. Jude was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely could return.

Spacious but intimate at the same time. The pool & spa was a luxury. Te Whio Retreat will be among our favorite top 5 Air bnb places in the north island. The retreat offers a private home away from home close enough to everything in turangi. Beautifully presented warm home. Large master bedroom with enough space for our baby to run around in his walker while we got ready in the ensuit. x3 showers with great pressure and heat, all able to be used at the same time. The backyard was enough room for our adult husky, fencing was high and kept her well enclosed and private from view of strangers if they were to approach the property. This home is situated in the rear end of a shared driveway, allowing for maximum privacy from public view. the two neighbouring properties on both sides of Te whio are also Airbnb/holiday homes and we're empty during our time at Te whio, we didn't have to worry about our kids causing "too much noise" whilst they made the most of the pool & us the spa.

Peaceful weekend, super friendly hosts, we were welcome to walk on the farm with our dog, the house was fully fitted with everything and was warm. Peaceful surroundings, went for two good two hour walks. Plenty to do inside if it's raining.

This house was perfect for our family group of 9 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking large meals, and it was great having two full bathrooms. The fire and some heaters kept us warm at night.

The home was amazing, clean, modern and private as well as the added bonus of the spa pool. The beds were very comfy with pristine high quality sheets and blankets - thank you! The home was very warm and cosy, there was plenty of room, great big TV screens, the setting was very peaceful and it was such a bonus to be able to bring our fur baby as well and she just loved the Riverside Ohakune bush walks! The Powder Keg was handy for meals and playing pool, plus the Old Coach Road bike ride was fun! We all had a lovely break away from the city!

Had a fabulous stay! A wonderful place to relax and unwind. There is much to do in the area and is also good shops etc. We had good contact with the owner and was helpful. Thank you for the stay.

An amazing place, great decor. Peaceful setting. Great amnesties. Responsive and friendly host. Really appreciated the touches like passion fruit and apples.

We had a wonderful night at John’s place!Our one regret is we only stayed for one night. :) the place was cozy, clean, and had an unbelievable view. It was also a short drive (~30m) to the car park for Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Would absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing container home. The space has been so well thought out with attention to detail throughout. Everything you can need and more for a relaxing get away. The deck is a fantastic place to hang out, with a breathtaking view. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus. We appreciated all the little touches, ample towels, kitchen supplies, laundry facilities. Clear instructions and great communication.

Beautiful little cottage, great for a weekend getaway and to go up the mountain to throw a snowball or two.
