Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Westport

The cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped and great to have en suite bedrooms. On arrival, we were so grateful for the milk, butter, soda bread and jam to have with a cuppa. The wine was an unexpected bonus!! Newport was a great location for us to investigate Achill Island and the surrounding area. The Centro shop just over the bridge is very well stocked. There's a nice walk around the harbour road and back to the village with great sunsets. Despite being next to the pub and road, there was no noise. The pub had live music on our last night which was great. The Museum of Country Life is worth a visit and is free! Communication with Lourda was excellent. I would definitely recommend Waterfront Cottage and like to come back to Newport.

Often we stay in airbnbs to do laundry and save on meals. There’s always so much to see and do. Paula’s cottage is a place to just relax and enjoy the view whether in the kitchen or bedrooms or living room.

Adorable Irish cottage with everything you could ask for and more. If the weather allows you can enjoy your meals outside having a great view of the mountains on Achill Island. Great location to explore county Mayo. Super friendly and responsive hosts ☺️

There were 6 of us on a hiking trip. The house was perfect for what we wanted. The location is fabulous for going out at night, but nice and peaceful. Parking right outside the door. There were plenty of sheets, towels, cutlery, crockery etc. The house was very clean.

We had a magical time with Richard at the Wild Atlantic Bus. A truly spectacular place. Has to be one of the most unique places to stay in Ireland. Forget staying in a castle when you can stay in a double decker bus! Richard was a great host. So friendly and informative about the area. Thank you Richard we hope to return again.

Majella’s place was perfect for my family of 5. It had every amenity listed. The location was beautiful and private, it was easy to find. If we’re able to come back we would love to stay here again.

Husband, myself and 2 sons had a fabulous stay. The house was beautiful; even better than the pictures. It sits high up a country road with fantastic views. It’s off the beaten path but it only adds to its appeal. The furnishings, kitchen/baths,beds are all high quality and comfortable. From the moment we entered the house and walked into the gorgeous back garden, we fell in love with this special place. Rachel is an exceptional hostess and soon we felt like dear friends rather than simply house guests. She responded quickly to questions and asked if there was anything that we needed to make our stay more comfortable. So many thoughtful touches --- fresh bread, tea and milk in the kitchen, and books, Netflix, and a turntable with vintage vinyls for entertainment. Each room was super clean, and the bed was so comfortable! We relied on bikes and bus so the Stone House was a perfect location with an easy walk to town and the Burrishole Community Center, where we played pickleball with the friendly members of the Newport Pickleball Club. We biked the nearby Greenway to Achill Sound, Burrishole Abbey, and Wild Nephin National Park. We already are planning another trip to Newport and there is no place we’d rather stay than Rachel’s Stone House.

We would certainly recommend Valerie as a host, easy to communicate with, appartment was nice and clean.

When I think of a warm welcome to Ireland, Eileen's place comes right to mind. The home is so beautiful and kept so clean! Eileen is VERY wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and kind. And the views from her home are just breath taking! Absolutely LOVED that horses were just right there in the backyard Thank you Eileen for an absolutely unforgettable stay!

What can I say, it is a wonderful property, the views are spectacular. Very comfortable bed. Mary was so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting looking out at the wonderful view, seeing the lights across Lough Corrib, I’m sure that image will stay with us for a very long time. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Our stay was fantastic. The house was wonderful, nicely designed with lots of space. The beds were comfortable & the bedrooms had ample space. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies & the kitchen table was big enough for a large crowd Deidre was so very helpful & kind. She helped us with securing transportation to Galway one day. She gave us tons of suggestions for activities & restaurants. The house was perfect.

Amazing location by the sea, lovely to watch the island ferries coming and going from the pier, from the comfort of the sunroom. We were unlucky with the weather but the views of the wild sea were stunning and the house is very spacious, we never felt cramped, even after a few days of being indoors. It’s a very well-equipped house and so relaxing, not burdened with loads of rules, just a few basic sensible requests. And it’s dog friendly, always important! Nicky answered our few queries promptly. Looking forward to staying again, the sooner the better!

Located in a private forest, Finola's estate is a living history. It's my first time staying in such an old building. A quiet country road takes us into the woods, then the fountain welcomed us, just like entering an elegant Victorian film. The house is equipped with all modern facilities and even a bathtub. The first day, the wifi was not functioning, but Finola helped promptly. Minor flaws: the cups were not cleanly washed, and providing toiletries would make it even more perfect.

Great apartment: spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Gerry and family were very helpful and responsive. This was our second visit to the apartment and it was just as good as the first. Highly recommended.

Incredible house and surroundings. Definitely the nicest place I have ever stayed in. We all had an incredible weekend here in Westport. Rachel was an excellent host and gave us great local recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Breath taking views out over the bay from the house. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Westport.
