Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Western Montana

My 80-year-old father had never stayed in an Airbnb. He was very pleased. He used to travel with a camper or choose the cheapest motel- with subpar quality. He felt very comfortable at Down Home Acres. We each (3 adults, 2 kids) had plenty of space. We enjoyed cooking for ourselves. We enjoyed all the amenities. We enjoyed the open space, including a visit from a barn cat. Home & amenities was well put together. I was grateful to have not upset my Dad’s normal routine & diet while staying away from home.

We spent the first four nights of our honeymoon here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The home is perfectly located—close enough to explore Glacier National Park and visit Whitefish, yet peaceful and private for relaxing at home. The house is well-stocked with everything you need, making it just as easy to stay in and unwind as it is to head out and explore. A truly wonderful stay!

Dirty Pete’s had everything I needed to simply relax by the river. Bathroom was only a few steps away and was spotless. Tish was very proactive and quick to respond. Highly recommend this to all the nature lovers out there. Already looking forward to my next trip.

Kameko's place was hands down the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! You simply just have to see it in person because pictures don't do it any justice! Spotless house, very comfortable beds, amazing shower, relaxing hot tub with an incredible view of the valley. We enjoyed a home cooked steak dinner on the deck after a day of adventuring. Plenty of wildlife to spot at dawn and dusk too! Do yourself a favor and book this place, you won't regret it!

Jenna's cabin on flathead lake was incredible! Truly peaceful and blessing to get to stay there. My family truly loved it. We would love to return sometime in the future. Her Airbnb was the most furnished Airbnb I have ever stayed in. (Bug spray, bear spray, spices, foil (etc), soap, shampoo and conditioner, even tissues and Laundry soap!) The paddle boards, kayaks and paddle boat were truly bonus features! We love our time at the lake. Thank you Jenna for being very responsive. Truly a great host!

We loved our stay at the Casita! This home is immaculate, a beautiful custom-designed home. We loved visiting the private beach and sitting out by the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable!

This place felt like it was straight from my dreams. We looooved the fireplace and gigantic windows. We would look out at the stars at night and the elk everywhere during the day. We would love to return one day.

Truly one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had! Piper went above and beyond as a host—sending us fantastic recommendations before our arrival and making sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. We were just minutes from Georgetown Lake and got to go paddleboarding with our dogs before heading to the local brewery for a pint with some friendly locals. It was a peaceful and memorable Memorial Day weekend, and we’re already looking forward to booking this lovely spot again in the future!

This place was great and everything we needed! Walking distance to town and such a cozy space. Our pup loved having the little fenced in area!

Chantelle and Patrick are very nice people, their property is very nice and well maintained. I highly recommend their accommodations, you will not be sorry. Clean and nice, you can't beat that. There for a quick night. Worked perfectly for me. Clean, beds really comfy so bonus points for that.

The appointments within the spacious residence were plentiful and tastefully done. The bed was extremely comfortable! The kitchen had every amenity you could think of…and the some.

This place ticked all our boxes. Only problem we had was the key and lock situation. Also would recommend a fan possibly. Other than that, we highly recommend. We will come back.

We enjoyed our stay after a long day of travel. Eva was very communicative and responsive to our questions. It was a great place to just relax and unwind!

We loved our stay! It was very peaceful and quiet here. We enjoyed seeing this one deer that happened to be right off to the side of the road near the place everyday when we came back from hiking Glacier! Overall, I would totally recommend staying here!!!

We had a great stay here in the historic Apex Apartments. It's a wonderful unit with hardwood floors, large windows, and a great location near uptown/Montana street. As mentioned in the listing, might not be the best choice for those uncomfortable with stairs and street parking. We had no problem parking, but the traffic noise was surprisingly loud. It didn't bother me, but others may disagree. The hosts graciously provide earplugs. We loved our time in Butte and absolutely would stay here again!

Beyond being comfortable and quiet, the place is beautiful - the artwork is fun and thoughtfully selected, the appliances and kitchenware are high-quality; the place is PERFECT. The location really is ideal, and the hosts will help you create your perfect vacation from all the options around you. We will be back!

Gorgeous and clean condo within walking distance of Flathead Lake and restaurants. It is spacious and comfortable. Parking is easy. Would definitely stay there again!

I enjoyed my stay there the apartment was really cute, parking was never a problem. It was close to everything.

Brittany was an amazing host. Great place right on a lawn to the water. Such a short walk to town and to an incredible trailhead along the river and Lake Swan.

We had a great stay at Birk’s place! The place was clean, walking distance to the mountain, and cozy. Everything was as described - we would definitely stay here again!

Nancy’s place was a treat. It was bigger than I thought with a large living room and a breakfast nook. It’s decorated vintage meets sort of Victorian. Loved that you could walk easily to the river, downtown and restaurants. I spent time on the front porch reading which was really nice during the warm evenings. Thanks!

Michele's place was wonderful! Very clean and roomy. The beds were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The place was awesome! We were able to take a shuttle straight to the resort. The house was super cozy and plenty of room for us! Monica was very straight forward & descriptive. Overall, a lovely experience and I would book again! Highly recommend!
