Mark had a gorgeous property, perfectly appointed and pristine. He was a superb host, very responsive and so helpful. The forested lot provides a peaceful and private location just a short hike to the Shenandoah River. The surrounding natural beauty and wildlife were the highlight of our stay. My husband and I and our four adult children enjoyed our 4 day weekend very much. Really close to hiking at Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns which were definitely worth the visit. The house has everything you need to have a relaxing time. The hot tub was a big hit and worked really well. If you are a “Foodie” there are not many good places to eat but we really loved the Chop House Bistro in Luray. A bit pricey, but very good food. Overall the Host was very responsive and the house was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back next year.

The house was clean and offered beautiful scenery. The grill was located near the river, allowing you to enjoy cooking, dining, and taking in the view all at once. Due to the weather, the firewood was wet; it would be better if it were covered to ensure the fire pit remains usable after rain. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely be happy to revisit.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was incredibly clean, cozy, quiet and peaceful. The cabin had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the toddler gear, which saved us from packing extra items. We loved making s’mores by the firepit and curling up with books next to the gas fireplace on cool summer nights. The beds were super comfortable, and everything felt well cared for and inviting. As others have mentioned it’s quite the hike up the dirt road, but we had no problem in a small suv. It was a great retreat and would come back!

Beautiful place me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday we had the best time! Brandi had the space nice and clean when we got there. She is has excellent response time and is very friendly. The cabin itself was amazing the view was incredible! being able to go out and kayak was amazing. The perfect get away for you and your partner! we will definitely be back!

It was a peaceful getaway, even though it rained every day except one day, when we went to the State Park. Michael's place had a lot to offer, He has a game room in the basement and that kept us busy. The house was spotless and great scenery. Will rent again in the near future!

We loved this little A-frame cabin in Shenandoah NP. Just what we needed on our way moving back to DC. The hot tub overlooking the valley was the best!

This was an amazing place to stay. The pictures don't do the house or the surrounding nature justice. The place was spotless and the guidebook had great recommendations for hiking, food, etc. A great peaceful place to get away for a weekend.

A perfect little cabin for a quick getaway! I stayed with my two dogs (who also loved it) and we never ran out of things to do in the area. Hosts provided lots of information and the place had everything I could need and then some.

My parents and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin over Father’s Day weekend. Our stay was peaceful and provided us the break we needed. Everything had been thoughtfully prepared - from the EV charger (A huge plus! The adapter to the Tesla was provided) to the well-stocked kitchen and spacious beds. We appreciated having all we needed to build a fire, grill, and enjoy meals both indoors and out. It was very easy to communicate with Lindsey. We would absolutely return!

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The cabin is cozy, comfortable and just like the pictures. We loved how peaceful and private the location is, and our dogs and daughter loved playing in the huge yard. Drinking morning coffee on the back deck was my favorite way to start each day and relaxing in the jacuzzi tub was a treat! We would love to return in the future!

Jonathan's place is wonderful as always. Had an exciting weekend to disconnect and enjoy good company in beautiful scenery. Look forward to coming back!

The first 10 minutes of our stay was just us walking around the house going “are you kidding me” between the view, the personal touches (down to the quirky cabinet handles!!), the record player/collection, having stuff for smores readily available for the fire pit, and the sunroom where my husband had to drag me out of the morning we left. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Gorgeous view overlooking the river! The place was well decorated and we loved listening to the rain on the skylights in the living room. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but wasn’t really an issue. Power went out one night (area outage), and Alison was responsive and proactive to provide a location of various lamps and lights. We were already using the grill on the incredibly back deck, so we weren’t really inconvenienced by it. I do appreciate the host keeping us updated on power outage.

A truly unforgettable retreat! It was an incredible stay at Denisa’s beautiful woodland home in Mathias, West Virginia. From the moment I booked, Denisa was incredibly communicative, responsive, and thoughtful - going above and beyond to ensure the stay was perfect. The home itself is incredible and impeccably maintained, with tasteful interior design and a warmth that made it feel like a true getaway. The chef’s kitchen was a dream - fully stocked and ideal for cooking and gathering. Every room was spotless, and you could tell great care was put into every detail. The surrounding area is a peaceful retreat in the woods is quiet, serene, and perfect for decompressing. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly to anyone seeking a restful and elevated escape. Without a doubt, I'll be back the next time the opportunity arises. Much love and appreciation to Denisa and her family for hosting such a memorable stay!

Lou's place is great! We were 5 people, 3 adults and 2 kids. The house had plenty of space for us to enjoy ourselves. The kids loved the game room and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The community was also lovely with two outdoor pools and an indoor pool. we really appreciated the guest passes that allowed us to enjoy the pools for both days we were there. Many thanks, Lou!

The best Air bnb we’ve ever stayed in! It was beautiful, was stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathroom, it was spotlessly clean, the amenities were to die for, it was peaceful and quiet but just local enough where you could go grab a bite to eat, sit by the lake, or go hiking in the state parks. Anthony was an awesome host, and we would absolutely love to stay not only in this Air bnb again, but his other listings as well!

This cabin surpassed expectations! We had such a cozy time at the Cabin for a long weekend. The cabin was clean and Jonathan and Cynthia were very communicative. We are already trying to figure out when we can stay again; would definitely recommend!

The Sanctuary was the most private, quiet, unique property in a beautiful setting. The cottage and separate bathouse was immaculate. With artistic touches like a beautiful stained glass window and glass bottless of multiple colors set in the wall. The property offers a Barrell sauna, hot tub, three outdoor fire pits, lovely deck with lights and a gas fireplace. Guests can bring all food with them & just cuddle into the property, or go into Berkely Springs, or Cacapon Park for entertainment & great food. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. The how to videos are a brilliant idea & extremely helpful. A very well appointed kitchen, very clean cabin & bath house with simple extras the host have thought of for their guests. My husband & I with our two dachsunds loved our three night stay. Would highly recommend if your looking to relax, unwind, commune with nature, & leave rejuvenated. Gene & Laura

Absolutely loved our stay at Tom’s Place in the Woods — it was nothing short of magical. The cabin was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and so tasteful — a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Everything was so well thought out, down to the smallest detail. One of our favorite touches was the lanterns for nighttime enjoyment — they made our evenings feel cozy, peaceful, and truly special. The amenities were top-notch, with everything we needed (and then some) to feel right at home. It’s clear that a lot of care and intention went into creating a space that’s both functional and full of character. And then there’s Tom, the host — easily one of the best we’ve ever encountered. He was incredibly proactive and responsive, checking in to make sure everything was perfect, and offering amazing recommendations for the surrounding area that made our trip even more memorable. We honestly didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back to this little slice of paradise!
