Cabin vacation rentals in West Cook

We had an awesome time. Beautiful views everywhere. Perfect for us and our family with grandkids. Swimming, jacuzzi, boat dock, a.c. and comforts, kayaks and floats for kids was super nice!!! Loved the outside deck for grilling and eating and relaxing. This place is well equipped. Great job Chad and crew! Kitchen was so well stocked that we didn't need to bring half as much as we did for spices and kitchen amenities. We loved our time and was sad it was over so soon. Close to town made it really nice. Added awesomeness was that we also had great weather! Garage was really convenient to reload and pack our boat on last day when raining. Can't think of a thing we didn't love.

Cedar Lake is stunning. Great views from both cabins which made relaxing on the porches perfect. Fishing was good & other wildlife was abundant. We enjoyed using the canoe, paddle boards, & paddle boat. David is a responsive communicator & was quick to help us with the water glitch in the seasonal cabin. We enjoyed our stay. (To future Airbnb renters: The second cabin is indeed seasonal so keep in mind seasonal cabins come w/ glitches. With that being said, the little cabin was exactly what I personally was looking for.)

We had a amazing stay! Very beautiful and quiet location, the sauna and environment were just what we needed to relax. Close to a immense of amount of locations for every type of mood. Really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

This Airbnb was a perfect place for a larger group due to the spacious and well planned space. Everything was high quality and felt built to last, which seems rarer and rarer nowadays. We used the pool/hot tub and pickleball facilities. Pool+hot tub were a nice size and there was plenty of seating. We enjoyed the pickleball but the paddles did seem aged. It would be nice for the resort group to implement self check in for the ease of the guests but Crystal at the front desk was a friendly face.

We stayed here with our four kiddos for a brief spring break getaway. While the snow wasn’t there this year we had plenty of spaces and places to spread out and explore. We would definitely consider coming back again!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has a beautiful lake view and was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. It is in the perfect location right on the lake yet just a quick drive into Ely.

This is a wonderful off grid get away. We did a winter trip and pulled sleds with skis. Brought in water, coffee, and food. Made fires in the stoves for heat, and had a couple great saunas with cold plunges in the lake. Everything required work which is what my group was looking for. Wood to split, fires to feed, and lanterns to see at night. Close enough to ski back to the car and head to Ely anytime we wanted. Would recommend for unplugging from the busy world. Still had cell service if needed, but we stayed on airplane mode for the most part.

The stars from the porch are gorgeous at night. Cabin was as expected, fun stay!

Just as before. It was a wonderful stay. This time with deer walking through the front & back yard!! Such a beautiful location! Hope to come back soon.

What a great place, right on the lake and stocked with anything you may need. The views were beautiful and we felt right at home!

We had a great stay! The space was perfect for just the 2 of us. it was cozy and I loved the hammock swing! I was happy we could see Lake Superior from the porch and the walk to it really is quick with easy access to the beach. it was private enough with quick access to Grand Marais. we hope to stay here again!

We had a great stay! Eric's place is a gorgeous, comfortable, modern lake home. Beds very comfy, cool little cubby style bunk beds great for kids. We grilled steaks one evening and ate most meals at the house. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen was great for cooking. A/C unit was nice surprise for the sunny warm days of our stay when the house got warm with the morning sun. Great water pressure in the shower, no issues with anything. We hiked every day and visited the lake. Host-provided Netflix account was nice touch so we didn't have to figure out logging into our account. Perfect location for all of our adventures! Thanks!

love this cabin near Ely and Lake Vermillion. sauna was awesome. cabin was cozy and well maintained. hosts were amazing and brought us wood for a fire. LOVED IT.

This place was amazing! The view was unbeatable. We happened to hit it during peak Fall colors and during a local studio art tour- what a treat! Lots of parks and hikes around! Sunrise!!!! Restaurants are plentiful in Grand Marais. The shower situation and outhouse was a little less adjustment, but we made it all work and it definitely wouldn't keep us from coming back! In a sweet way the privative living made us appreciate our lives more and added to the experience! This place is just perfect. Plan to carry your trash out! What a treat!

Into the Woods was the perfect, cozy place to spend the weekend. The property was close enough to Grand Marais that we could go down there to enjoy the shops and time by the water. We went to Cascade Restaurant for dinner, and it was delicious. We were also able to make food at the cabin since Danielle had every kitchen tool that one could need. It was really impressive! We will recommend this beautiful place to friends and family visiting Grand Marais.

John is a wonderful host with a fantastic property! We will definitely book with this host again.

We stayed at John's place in the winter, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and well-stocked. Running the log stove and sauna were a must, as they were the only way to stay warm. We saw a wolf and many other wildlife during our stay. Snowshoeing on the nearby lakes were a highlight. The trails marked by Dave were easy to follow, along with the maps they provided. If you are looking for a peaceful trip surrounded by nature, you found the right place! Thanks to John and Dave for being so helpful and responsive.

We stayed for 5 nights with two children. The loft was perfect for them to stretch out and offered a bit of independence and area to play. The house is stocked and well thought out and offers anything you might need or forgot to bring along. Make sure to gas up and grab your groceries before you arrive due to the remote location. We mainly stayed nearby enjoying the lake access, use of kayaks, and state park down the road. It was also a convenient spot to explore a little farther out - spent the day in Ely away from the cooler shore. If you're on the fence, go for it! Serenity Lodge offers all the creature comforts of home and more to make a memorable North Shore adventure.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying at Sarah and Tommy's cabin. The layout was perfect and everything that was needed to cook meals was available. The gas fireplace put out some nice heat and it was very convenient to have the 2-car garage available to keep the car out of the snow. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the jetted tub was welcomed after a day of skiing. Highly recommend!

This is a great little cabin located in a very private area. It was winter, so we weren't able to enjoy the net hammock but we wanted to :-) The circular staircase to the lower level (where the second bedroom and third bed are) is very tight. Our suitcases were small enough to get down there, but we would have struggled if they were bigger. I also missed the fact there wasn't a dishwasher. Luckily my sons were put to work.
