The Old Dairy Farm Barn

KatherineRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The Old Diary Barn was a delight to stay at. A wonderful welcome basket of cheese, crackers, crisps and Kendal mint cake was real winner ! I sat watching birds visit the garden , a woodpecker was a very busy visitor and we also got a red squirrel, the first wild one i've ever seen, Just put some peanuts out ! Just be careful of the beam in the bedroom as it is rather low, but would definitely stay here again.

Yorkshire Dales Getaway to relax and unwind

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely stay over Easter at this property. It is right in the heart of Hawes, close to cafes, pubs, the Wensleydale Cheese Factory and some walks. The kitchen pretty much had everything we needed to cook a few dinners. Steve was a lovely host and provided us with all required information. The property looks like the photographs and has everything we needed for the long weekend. The Yorkshire dales is a lovely place to visit with lots of great walks across the region. Couple of notes: it is on the main road through Hawes so traffic goes past at all hours although we barely noticed it. The parking is in a small public carpark across the road, we never didn’t get a carpark in that carpark but at times it was full depending on the time of day - there is parking up the hill on the way out of Hawes if there isn’t parking in that carpark.

Heart Of Hawes Holiday Cottage

KathrynRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Beautiful spotless and comfy cottage in a great location in the centre of Hawes. Stuart and Jo are friendly and helpful hosts who clearly care that their guests enjoy their holiday. The local information pack was brilliant and the cottage has been meticulously renovated and kitted out with an outstanding attention to detail and with their guests in mind. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning Views over the Swale, Barn Cottage.

LauraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

A sheep is observed through a window, with its fuzzy fleece and distinctive black face in close view. The background shows a grassy area outside the cottage, highlighting the rural setting. The window frame provides a clear perspective of the animal against the natural landscape.

Rural retreat with spectacular Swaledale views

MariaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
So lucky to have found this gem, thank you Pat for being such a wonderful host! Pat's place has beautiful views all round and it was a treat to see all the moorland birds. There was even a snipe one morning on the lawn, cuckoo, woodcock and short-eared owl in the adjacent fields. We enjoyed the remoteness and not having a mobile phone signal was a bonus. Pat was super helpful, the cottage is very generous with gated driveway, well equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms.

*New* A Den in the Dales

CazzieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great location in the centre of Hawes. Loved the accommodation; interior decor was in keeping with the property in a contemporary way and was very clean. Bed was so comfy. Liked the extra touches of milk, biscuits, tea/coffee and nice body wash. We were lucky to find parking very close-by but if not the Pay & Display carpark is not too far (there’s a pedestrian shortcut). Would definitely book again.
