Vacation rentals with lake access in Washington Island

We had a wonderful time! So relaxing and fun staying right by the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and appreciated that there were life jackets too! Loved the large window overlooking the lake. The dining area was a good size for large groups. Kitchen was nice and well equipped.

Dan & Beth said they wanted us to feel at home and we certainly did! We had 7 adults in our group & we talked about the house & cost to stay there. We all agreed it was absolutely worth every cent. Dan couldn’t have been more helpful whenever we reached out with a question. Being right on the beach was magical. Fires at night with a plentiful supply of dry wood was a nice surprise! Anything you could possibly think of was at our disposal! Even the refrigerator was pristine, which in my experience, doesn’t always happen in a rental. We will miss Sandvik house!

This is our second time staying at this property, we returned because we loved it so much. Amazing views from the house, very peaceful, and close to attractions in Sturgeon Bay and the rest of Door County. Bonus, there was a cute little groundhog that was sunning himself in the mornings out front of the house.

Bayside Bear was the perfect retreat! The views are absolutely stunning—especially the sunsets, which were truly unforgettable. Nearly every room in the house offers a beautiful view of the lake, including from the hot tub, which was such a relaxing bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked and great for cooking, and we loved using the grills outside for evening meals. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged for a great stay. Thomas was a fantastic host—very responsive, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Extremely enjoyed our stay at this lake house - we would return. Views of the lake were fantastic and lakeshore was easily accessible and fun for the kids to explore.

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay at Sister Bay Haus. Gorgeous home that felt cozy and elegant at the same time. Great amenities. Close to places we wanted to visit. The hosts are wonderful! I highly recommend a stay here!

We had a great cozy stay at Jan’s. We were in Door County for a bachelorette weekend. Close to all things fun, but on the quiet side of the peninsula. Would love to visit again.

Loved the beautiful setting amongst mature trees, the lake view and falling to sleep listening to the waves.

We had a great stay for the weekend with 3 adults, 1 toddler and our dog! Krissi made everything so easy, and was responsive when we had a quick question during our stay. This is the ideal location in Algoma, easy walk to everything while also feeling quiet and secure. The place is nice and updated, and I loved the extra little touches that made it feel more personal!

I have stayed here before back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. The size was nice and everyone was easy to work with. For the cost, this is comparable to a hotel with much less room. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks...

Decorated very well. Simple and clean. Could look out the window and see the lighthouse. Beautiful sunrise. The hotel next door was being refurbished so there was some noise from that early in the morning (wasnt really loud but more annoying). The studio was supplied very well with coffee and coffee pot and electric kettle and all condiments. I enjoyed my 3 nights very much. Went up to Sister Bay and Fish Creek. Ate at Al Johnsons and took a lighthouse boat cruise out of Sister Bay. Door County is so beautiful and the studio in KEWAUNEE was a great place to stay.

We loved it and are planning our next trip to go back. Great location, quiet and nice neighbors.

My family and I came up to this area to visit Door County. It was about 25 minutes to the Door County area, but we went up two days in a row and enjoyed the drive both days. As far as the condo itself, it was great. Very comfortable and roomy and had everything we needed. My 12 year old daughter was sad when we had to leave because she enjoyed it so much. It was a true gem!! Thanks for giving us what felt like a home away from home!!!

Dan was incredibly responsive. I texted him that the iron was damaged and he had a new one there within 20 minutes. Excellent experience. We fell in love with the community!

My husband and I were in town to do some more sections of the Ice Age Trail. Very well located for that and great location for proximity to the lake and downtown amenities. The loft was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed and the hosts were super helpful. Would definitely return.

Very nice private cabin on lake michigan. Has everything you need with a wonderful cabin vibe. We had a great time and look forward to staying again!

My husband, toddler, dog, and I loved our stay here. The sunsets here were so beautiful! The cottage felt like home & all the antique decor added so much charm. Check in was easy & Alexandra provided a lot of information on what to do in Door County.

Absolutely adored the cottage and our stay in Fish Creek! The house is so idyllic and charming, and right in the center of everything there is to do in Fish Creek. We would love to return someday!

Door County has been a favorite spot of ours for 40 years. Joe and Kate's space was clearly the most private and the most stunningly beautiful surroundings I have experienced and yet just minutes from the "action". I would meditate on the shore of Lake Michigan while the sun came up and went to sleep with the sounds of the waves. Joe and Kate have put a great deal of care into this home and there are whimsical features that you will need to find out for yourself😉

This is a cute little house right on Lake Michigan. It was perfect for our girls weekend with plenty of room inside and outside for our group to stay together. It was a beautiful spot for coffee and sunrises by the lake in the morning and wine and sunsets in the evening. Rick was a great host. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent four nights in the cabin and truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was pristine and offers a lovely, wide view of the bay. Don and Pam have made an effort to offer not only that built-in view, but also front and back yards with pretty flowers and plants. They have also clearly made an effort to offer up a pretty home with many special touches. We appreciated that the cabin was stocked with many helpful items, such as Saran, baggies, coffee, seasonings - all the things you don't want to have buy and then toss at the end of a trip barely used. Plus, we found this area to be a good jumping off point for the entire peninsula and handy to the necessities, such as a grocery store in Sturgeon Bay. We also enjoyed many walks around the neighborhood, which is woodsy and beautiful.

A really lovely place to stay - in a peaceful area and with a small private beach. The cottage was really clean and had great amenities. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Winding River Cottages and we absolutely love it. Located just outside of town, it is a private space on the water that is teeming with wildlife and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It’s perfect for fishing, relaxing by the campfire and exploring surroundings from the kayak. It is clear that the owners take pride in their cottages, as they have made significant updates since we last stayed - new pergolas, charming outdoor lighting and a beach! We hope this space is available the next time we return!
