Lake houses in Walloon Lake

Such a beautiful place to stay. My Grandpa owned this property in the 70's and my family was happy to see how well maintained the cottage is and the nature that surrounds it. It was such a blessing for us to come back and visit. Thank you for taking such good care of it.

The apartment was super clean and comfortable! It provided a very relaxing stay, there was almost no noise from Turkey’s downstairs and we loved being able to pop out and walk down to the lake and local shops, then pop back upstairs to relax and read :) would highly recommend this spot!

We had a great weekend. Space worked out perfectly and we were able to use the kayaks. They had everything you could want and more.

The location and views from the cabin cannot be described in words or pictures - it really is a place that you need to experience. We appreciate the detail and cleanliness of the cabin. Even the small details are thought of and they did not go unnoticed.

This was such a find! We loved the cozy “up north” style accommodations during our Harbor Springs/Mackinac Island adventure. The homemade zucchini bread, eggs, and fixings were such a thoughtful touch, and we appreciated borrowing the beach chairs when we wandered to the beach. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property, hospitality, and amazing recommendations! We hope to be back again soon!

Loved this place for our girls weekend. The stairs were narrow but knew this before we booked. Place was clean and had some nice extras …. Hammock and hot tub was used often. Katie was a wonderful host. We did not have any problem so the there was little contact. Blinds on the entry door would be a nice thing to add. Would recommend! 5 stars for this beautiful little A Frame.

This place was amazing! Right by the action but still felt private. It has everything you need for a great stay. The hosts were responsive kind and flexible with us. Couldn’t have been better!!!

This was probably the coolest airbnb I have stayed at. Beautifully designed, very open, well stocked kitchen, it was amazing. I love that you could purchase candy and snacks, just a cute touch. It was the perfect place for us to spend our snow days :)

The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The AC kind of went out and the hosts promptly got someone out to fix it. The setting was beautiful! We enjoyed a couple days on the boat (Northaire rentals), then did day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and then a down day with the kayaks and SUP. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Dockside Pier. We enjoyed ice cream at Moomers, local cider at Royal Farms and our best meal at Toonie’s for Friday fish fry. Us southerners should have been better prepared for colder water and later seasons. The longer days also threw us for a loop but still a great first trip to Michigan!

Fantastic home! We loved everything about this place. Lots of space for our family of six. House was clean, stocked with lots of amenities. Linens, towels, board games, books, kitchen supplies.. We loved the beautiful view, deck, fire pit, dock, paddle board and kayak. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. Every space was thoughtfully furnished, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The primary suite was a highlight—it felt like our own private retreat with its cozy sitting area and beautiful bathroom. The backyard was a dream: lush, pristine, and perfect for unwinding in the hot tub. The host went above and beyond, responding to questions immediately and even stopping by to blow up paddle boards for our kids, which they loved. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I had a very nice stay at RuthAnne’s Airbnb. Spacious, clean, well decorated, quiet, close to downtown location. We would recommend this space to anyone traveling up north for a weekend away!

Great stay for the weekend. Peaceful and beautiful view of the lake. We seen bald eagles and caught fish off the dock. We would love a place like this to spend weekends away. Definitely would stay there again.

Lovey home. Beautiful location. Very clean. Amply stocked. Great communication. For those who have problems with many stairs…. This is NOT a good fit. There are twenty steps each time you enter or leave the home. Outside there are more stairs to move to the lower level.

We cannot say enough good things about your stay & Beth! My family was in town for our wedding & Beth was more than accommodating with early check in so we could get things going! While I had a busy weekend as the bride, Beth sent multiple messages checking in on us & letting us know if we needed anything to just reach out! Even my mother mentioned how amazing that the home had everything stocked & we didn’t need to bring a thing! Something that not every Airbnb offers. The home looked right out at the water, it was updated and such stunning features, lots of spacious areas & rooms, and truly the perfect place to reset during a busy weekend! We hope to stay with Beth at this stunning home again on our next trip to Traverse!

Amy’s cabin was perfect for our stay! It was super cute, private, and conveniently close to Boyne. The location made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer while still feeling like a cozy getaway. Even when we ran into a small issue, Amy responded instantly and helped us resolve it right away. Her attentiveness and hospitality made our stay even better. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family booked with Jeff to celebrate our son's birthday at Avalanche Bay Waterpark. The cabin was revamped head to toe and it shows! We had a lot of fun utilizing the kitchen for birthday treats, this cabin was the perfect space to be together singing happy birthday, playing board games and resting in-between the fun around Boyne. Thanks Jeff! When in the area again, we will definitely hope to have you as a host!

100% awesome place to stay! Super cozy, quiet, right next to Bay Harbor and the highway being right there makes getting to Petoskey easy peasy. This makes Walmart or Meijer runs a breeze should you nee provisions and downtown is around the corner for local eats. I was there for a couple days of snowboarding and will totally investigate availability when I come up next year or if the wife and I drop in over summer!

This home was secluded, yet just a short drive away from downtown Petoskey and local wineries. Very clean, including the hot tub, and we really enjoyed the covered ping-pong table (even in the rain) and other yard games provided while it was nice out. Really comfortable furniture, lots of places to hang inside and outside. The instruction/guest guide book for appliances and other speciality items was very helpful. Basic needs were supplied with a few extras and loved that check out was easy and just few things to do.

We had two families (6 kids total) stay at the Woods and we felt perfectly at home. The upstairs was great for all the kids to play and hang. The Wii was an extra bonus! Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of places to sleep too! Andrea was very responsive, patient and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.
