Kea Wing - Queen Shared Bathroom

RjRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This place is a GEM!!! Very friendly staff (special shoutout to the Thai receptionist) with excellent facilities — hot tub was amazing in this cold winter weather!! Kitchen was well equipped and there was free flow hot coffee/ chocolate + popcorn + home made soup! Also had multiple HUGE TVs in the lounge for each group to enjoy their mealtime shows (: Onlyyyyy one small issue: the sound isolation is BAD. You will 10/10 know what your neighbour is up to so… be nice!

Cedar Sky - 3BR Near Lake Tekapo and Mt John

AlessandraRating, 5 starstoday
Words can’t describe how beautiful this place is. We felt at home. The views are better than the listing photos, took our breath away when we walked in. The house gets very warm, easy to heat. Has all amenities you need. But the views…. WOW. Open floor plan, windows everywhere with blackout curtains. Plenty of blankets and kitchen appliances. It was very comfortable and cozy. We did not want to leave. Did I mention the views??!!

Tussock Burn Kiwi Ma and Pa place

KevinRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our stay with Coll and Mike truly felt like a home away from home! The listing promised 'Kiwi Ma and Pa,' and they delivered completely. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us so warmly and showed us around, making us feel instantly comfortable. Their kindness and lovely hospitality were exceptional. Communication from booking to check-out was incredibly easy and smooth. Our rooms were spotless and perfectly tidy, and the views - both day and night - were absolutely spectacular! We wouldn't hesitate to come back again and again.

Haka House - Twin Room

LoriRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a lovely stay that we booked last minute as I took a friend around the country. The diversity of the hostel community was lovely and we enjoyed getting to know people we shared spaces with. The sauna was a bonus after snowy wet treks. The host was responsive when we inquired about snow conditions before heading up in elevation. Staff were constantly tidying and cleaning during down time. Expensive for a hostel in our experience but absolutely lovely views and staff made it worth the expense. Bring your passport if you are not a NZ resident! This almost ruined our trip. I live in NZ but do not yet have a NZ drivers license. I’ve never been asked for my passport at any Air BnB (just photo ID) but this place required passport at check-in. My drivers license/photo ID from my native country was not accepted. They eventually accepted my friend’s passport in my place as she is only briefly in NZ and carries her PP with her. I’d left mine at my house four hours away from Aoraki.
